January 19, 2023: Adham Mohammad Bassem Jabarin, 26, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers during a pre-dawn invasion of Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank.

While Adham was bleeding on the street, an older man came out of his home to try to help him and to render first aid. But the soldiers shot and killed the older man as well.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that the soldiers killed a physical education teacher and a married father of six children, Jawad Farid Hussein Bawaqna, 58, after shooting him in the head, and former political prisoner, Adham Mohammad Bassem Jabarin, 26, both from Jenin refugee camp.

Ata Abu Romeila, the secretary of the Fateh movement in Jenin, said the soldiers fatally shot Bawaqna while trying to render first aid to Jabarin, who was shot in front of his home in the As-Saha area in the center of Jenin refugee camp by an army sharpshooter, who shot him in the head.

The man was trying to help Adham, who was shot by an Israeli army sharpshooter and was heavily bleeding, before Jawad’s daughter helped drag Adham to safety a few meters away, but then an army sniper shot her father.

He added that Israeli soldiers also stopped Palestinian ambulances and prevented the medics from entering the refugee camp, forcing the residents to transport Jawad and Adham to the Ibn Sina Hospital in private cars, but they succumbed to their wounds.

The soldiers also attacked Palestinian protesters with live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

Medical sources said the soldiers injured several Palestinians, including three who were shot with live fire to the abdomen, thigh, and shoulder, suffering moderate-but-stable wounds.

The Palestinian shot in the abdomen was rushed to surgery after a soldier shot him with an expanding bullet, causing multi-organ damage.

Two Israeli soldiers were reportedly injured by an explosive charge hurled at their military vehicle.

After killing the two Palestinians, the soldiers fired many live rounds at the Khalil Suleiman governmental hospital in Jenin.

Dr.Mai Al-Kaila, the Palestinian Health Minister, denounced the Israeli army’s attack on the governmental hospital, especially since many bullets struck inside the children’s ward.

Dr. Al-Kaila said the attack is not the first to target medical centers, medical workers, and facilities, and called on international legal and human rights groups to intervene and help end these serious violations.

Her statements came after Israeli soldiers fired many live rounds that went through the windows of a children’s ward, the nurses changing room in the same ward, and the pediatricians’ conference room.

The soldiers also invaded and ransacked many homes and abducted four Palestinians, including two siblings, Hasan Ahmad Zaghal and Sharaf Ahmad Abu Sharif, in addition to Aws and his brother Hani Khaled Abu Zeina.

Hundreds of Palestinians marched in front of Ibn Sina hospital carrying the corpses of Jabarin and Bawaqna, chanting for ongoing resistance, steadfastness until liberation and independence, and calling for international protection for the Palestinian people.

On Tuesday, Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian security officer, Hamdi Shaker Abdullah Abu Dayya, 40, at the entrance of the Nabi Younis area in Halhoul town, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Last year, Israeli soldiers killed 224 Palestinians, including 59 from the Jenin governorate.

January 17, 2023: Hamdi Shaker Abdullah Abu Dayya, 40, was killed by Israeli soldiers at the entrance of the Nabi Younis area in Halhoul town, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said Hamdi was a former political prisoner and a married father of three children from Halhoul.

The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of the Fateh Movement, said Hamdi, a police officer with the Palestinian Authority, was one of its members.

The Israeli army claimed the soldiers fatally shot a Palestinian in a car, reportedly after several shots of live fire targeted a military roadblock.

According to Israeli Channel 14, the army is investigating whether the Palestinian was the same person who, two days ago, opened fire at an Israeli bus near the illegal Gush Etzion colony.

Palestinian medics rushed to the scene, but the soldiers stopped them and did not allow them to approach the severely bleeding man, who was later declared dead at the scene before the army took his body to an unknown destination.

Hours after killing the Palestinian man, dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded Halhoul town, stormed and ransacked the slain officer’s home, and interrogated his family.

The invasion led to protests before the soldiers fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs, causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

Hamdi’s death brings the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army in the first seventeen days of this year to fifteen, including four children.

January 16, 2023: Amro Khaled Al-Khmour, 14, was killed by Israeli soldiers in the Deheishe refugee camp south of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the child succumbed to a serious gunshot wound to the head.

The child was shot at dawn when many army vehicles invaded the refugee camp, violently searched homes, and abducted a young man.

He was rushed to Beit Jala hospital before he was moved to Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation due to the seriousness of his wounds before he succumbed to his injuries.

The invasion led to protests before the soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

Media sources said the soldiers searched several homes and abducted Mahmoud Salah Hammash, 24.

Hours after the child’s death, hundreds of Palestinians gathered in front of Beit Jala governmental hospital and marched to the child’s home in the Deheishe refugee camp.

The Palestinians held the funeral ceremony and procession and headed to the Shuhada graveyard in the Artas nearby village while chanting for liberation and independence and calling for International Protection for the Palestinian people.

The child’s death brings the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army in the first sixteen days of this year to fourteen, including four children.

January 15, 2023: Ahmad Hasan Abdul-Jalil Kahala, 45, was killed by Israeli soldiers at the western entrance of Silwad town, east of Ramallah, in the central West Bank.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers installed a sudden military roadblock at the entrance of the town before stopping and searching cars.

They added that the soldiers forced Ahmad, who was driving with his son, out of his car and started assaulting him after a verbal argument ensued.

The eyewitnesses stated that one of the soldiers assaulting the Palestinian shot him from point-blank range.

Palestinian medics rushed to the scene, but the soldiers stopped them, obstructed their efforts to provide him with life-saving first aid, and eventually allowed them to take him away.

The medics rushed Ahmad to Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah, but he succumbed to his serious wounds.

“Ahmad had no vital signs when we reached him,” Aahed Smerat, one of the medics at the scene, said, “His son called for help, but when we arrived there, the soldiers stopped us and told us the man was under arrest, and later allowed us to take him away.”

The slain man’s sister, Ehman Kahala, said her brother and his son, Qussai, 18, were heading to work at a construction site when the soldiers stopped them at a military roadblock.

“They were assaulting my brother before an argument, and a brief scuffle broke out, and then they [the soldiers] just executed him….” She added.

His sister added that the slain man is a married father of five; two boys and three girls, and one of his daughters will graduate from high school this year.

The Israeli army alleged that the Palestinian “got out of his car, approached the soldiers and attacked them with a knife, in an area where Palestinian protesters were throwing stones at the army.”

Dr. Laila Ghannam, the Governor of Ramallah and Al-Biereh, said Ahmad’s execution is yet another Israeli crime against the Palestinian people and called on the International Community to act instead of shielding Israel from international prosecution for its ongoing war crimes.

Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammad Shtayyeh, denounced Ahmad’s killing and said, “the criminals are ongoing with their crimes and violations of International law with impunity,” and called for international protection for the Palestinian people.

Ahmad is the thirteenth Palestinian, including three children, to be killed by Israeli soldiers in the first fifteen days of this year, 2023.

On Saturday dawn, Israeli soldiers killed two Palestinians, Ezzeddin Bassem Hamamra, 24, and Amjad Adnan Khaliliyya, 23, near the main entrance of Jaba’ town, south of Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Also Saturday dawn, Palestinian medical sources at Iben Sina Hospital in Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, confirmed the death of Yazan Samer Ja’bari, 19, whom the soldiers shot earlier this month near Jenin.

Yazan was shot on January 2^nd when the army invaded the town and detonated the home of two slain Palestinians, Ahmad Ayman ‘Aabed, 23, and Abdul-Rahman Hani ‘Aabed, 22.

January 14, 2023: Yazan Samer Ja’bari, 19, died from serious wounds he suffered earlier in January after Israeli soldiers shot and seriously injured him in the Al-Yamoun town, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin.

Palestinian medical sources at Iben Sina Hospital in Jenin confirmed Yazan’s death and said he was seriously injured by Israeli army fire on January 2.

January 14, 2023: Amjad Adnan Khaliliyya, 23, was killed by Israeli soldiers killed t near the main entrance of Jaba’ town, south of Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said Amjad and Ezzeddin Bassem Hamamra, 24, from Jaba’.

Media sources said the soldiers assassinated the two Palestinians after ambushing their car near the Jaba’ town junction, fired many live rounds at them, and chased them to the Al-Fandaqumiya nearby village before firing a barrage of live rounds at their car, killing the two.

The Saraya Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, said the two were members of the group and added that they exchanged fire with the soldiers on the main road between Jaba’ and Al-Fandaqumiya.

It added that one of them was injured before they drove away, but the soldiers chased them, fired dozens of live rounds at their car, and killed them.

Earlier the same day, the soldiers invaded the site of a former illegal Israeli colony in the area, installed a roadblock at the entrance of the Jaba’ town, leading to protests, and fired many live rounds at the Palestinians, wounding one in the leg.

January 12, 2023: Habib Mohammad Abdul-Rahman Kamil, 25, was killed by Israeli soldiers who also killed another Palestinian in Qabatia town, south of Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the Israeli soldiers shot Habib with a live round in the head.

The Health Ministry stated that the soldiers also shot Abdul-Hadi Fakhri Nazzal, 18, live rounds in the neck and the chest, inflicting serious wounds, before he succumbed to his injuries.

The two were killed after many military vehicles invaded Qabatia, leading to protests, and fired dozens of live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

During the invasion, the soldiers shot at least three other Palestinians who were rushed to hospitals in Jenin.

The Israeli army said its invasion of Qabatia was planned in coordination with the Shabak and the undercover forces and was reportedly “based in intelligence regarding the location of Palestinian fighters” and added that the soldiers managed to arrest one Palestinian, identified as Mohammad Alawna.

The army claimed Alawna was involved in many shooting incidents against the soldiers and added that the soldiers located weapons during searches of homes and buildings.

On the same day at dawn, the soldiers killed Samir Awni Harbi Aslan, 41, in the Qalandia refugee camp, north of the occupied capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank, and abducted fifteen young men. He was the fourth Palestinian to be killed by the soldiers in 24 hours.

The deaths of the three Palestinians within a few hours bring the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli army fire in the first twelve days of this year, 2023, to nine, including three children.

January 12, 2023: Samir Awni Harbi Aslan, 41, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers invading the Qalandia refugee camp at dawn. According to eyewitnesses, the soldiers first assaulted and brutalized Samir’s son, and when Samir came out to try to protect his child from the soldiers, they shot him in the chest and killed him.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the slain man, Samir Awni Harbi Aslan, 41, a father of eight children from the Qalandia refugee camp, was killed after the soldiers shot him with live fire in the chest.

The Health Ministry added that, after shooting and seriously wounding Samir, the soldiers prevented the locals and Palestinian medics from reaching him to administer first aid and move him to a hospital.

The WAFA Palestinian News Agency said:

“Baba (Dad) help me,” shouted Ramzi, 17, calling on his father, Samir Aslan, to save him from the Israeli occupation soldiers who broke into his home in Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, at dawn this morning and arrested him.

At his son’s call, Samir, 41, rushed out of his apartment on the third floor of their four-story building. When he reached the entrance of the building, the soldiers aimed their guns at him and prevented him from coming out, forcing him to return to his home.

Samir could not bear the sight of his eldest son being arrested and handcuffed, knowing very well how brutal and barbaric the soldiers could be. But when he couldn’t see his son, he went to the roof of his building to watch what the soldiers were doing with his son. But as soon as he went up a wooden ladder placed on a wall on the roof, a sniper stationed in another building located directly behind his house shot him.”

The Qalandia Media Center said the soldiers also invaded and ransacked many homes and abducted fifteen Palestinians, including children and five former political prisoners.

The abducted Palestinians have been identified as Osama Na’im Hamad, Ali Hamad, Shafiq Awwad, Mo’tasem Awwad Hamsho, Adham Awwad, Ramzi Aslan (the son of the slain man), Eyad Emteir, Ahmad Emteir, Kamal Abu Ghweila, Ali Ibrahim Zayed, Karim Abu Latifa, Ehab Abu Latifa, Adam Badran, Mustafa Al-Jouri, and Mohammad Salah Al-Jouri.

National and Islamic factions in Qalandia issued statements mourning the slain man and calling for a general strike in the refugee camp.

On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers killed Sanad Mohammad Othman Samarma, 19, after he reportedly stabbed and moderately injured an Israeli colonialist settler near Havat Yehuda illegal colony built on stolen Palestinian lands in Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Also Wednesday, The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that a seriously injured young man, Ahmad Amer Abu Jneid, 21, who Israeli soldiers shot and seriously injured earlier in Balata refugee camp, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, has succumbed to his wounds.

The number of Palestinians whom Israeli soldiers killed in the first twelve days of this year, 2023, is now seven.

Besides Samir, Sanad, and Ahmad, the soldiers killed Fu’ad Mohammad ‘Abed, 17, from Kafr Dan near Jenin, and Mohammad Samer Houshiyya, 22, from Al-Yamoun near Jenin, Amer Abu Zeitoun, 16, from Nablus, and Adam Essam Ayyad, 15, from Bethlehem.
