Hamdi Shaker Abu Dayya

January 17, 2023: Hamdi Shaker Abdullah Abu Dayya, 40, was killed by Israeli soldiers at the entrance of the Nabi Younis area in Halhoul town, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said Hamdi was a former political prisoner and a married father of three children from Halhoul.

The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of the Fateh Movement, said Hamdi, a police officer with the Palestinian Authority, was one of its members.

The Israeli army claimed the soldiers fatally shot a Palestinian in a car, reportedly after several shots of live fire targeted a military roadblock.

According to Israeli Channel 14, the army is investigating whether the Palestinian was the same person who, two days ago, opened fire at an Israeli bus near the illegal Gush Etzion colony.

Palestinian medics rushed to the scene, but the soldiers stopped them and did not allow them to approach the severely bleeding man, who was later declared dead at the scene before the army took his body to an unknown destination.

Hours after killing the Palestinian man, dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded Halhoul town, stormed and ransacked the slain officer’s home, and interrogated his family.

The invasion led to protests before the soldiers fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs, causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

Hamdi’s death brings the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army in the first seventeen days of this year to fifteen, including four children.

Mohammad Kamel Al-Jabari

October 29, 2022: Mohammad Kamel Al-Jabari, 35, was killed in a shooting attack that also resulted in the death of an Israeli colonizer near the Kiryat Arba illegal colony in Hebron city, in the southern part of the West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its medics rushed to the area to provide essential aid to Mohammad, but the soldiers fired many live rounds at their ambulance, wounding a medic, Ahmad Abu Khaled, who was shot with a live round in the shoulder, and causing damage to the ambulance.

The army took Mohammad’s corpse after refusing to release his body to Palestinian medics.

The Israeli who was killed in the shooting has been identified as Ronen Hananya, 50, from Kiryat Arba. Another wounded Israeli, in his fifties, remains in critical condition, Israeli sources have confirmed.

Ronen Hananya

A surveillance video released to Israeli media shows the Palestinian walking through the street holding a rifle and shooting before an Israeli car of an off-duty soldier, accompanied by a security agent working for the Kiryat Arba colony, sped toward him.

The car rams into the man at high speed, crashing his body and the car into a wall.

The car then backs away, and an Israeli settler jumps out and fires multiple rounds at the Palestinian now lying on the ground.

In addition to the Israeli man and the Palestinian man who were killed, an Israeli medic with the medical association Magen David was injured in the attack and was brought to the Israeli hospital in Shaare Tzedek Medical Center.

Another Palestinian was also wounded with gunshot fire. He was only identified as a 37-year-old man, and his injuries were described as moderate.

Israeli daily Haaretz said three Israelis, including the son of the man who was killed, where taken to Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem.

It added that the seriously wounded man 50-year-old Israeli man remained in a critical condition until he succumbed to his wounds.

Haaretz also said that a fourth Israeli, Ofer Ohana, a Magen David Adom medic, was transferred to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center where he remained unconscious and on life support.

Initial reports claimed that the attack appeared to target the home of right-wing Israeli politician Itamar Ben-Gvir, who lives in Kiryat Arba, but an Israeli military spokesperson said that this was not a targeted attack on Ben-Gvir but appeared instead to be targeting an Israeli military guard post.

While some Israeli reports claimed Mohammad was a member of Hamas, his family said he wasn’t involved with any party or group and was an Islamic studies teacher and a married father of two children.

His older brother is an officer with the Palestinian General Intelligence, controlled by the Fateh movement of President Mahmoud Abbas, and his middle brother is a member of Hamas and was one of many Palestinians who were exiled from the West Bank to Gaza as part of the Shalit prisoner swap agreement.

Media sources said Mohammad was also receiving treatment for abdominal cancer, which reached an advanced stage.

After the soldiers killed him, the army installed many roadblocks in Hebron and isolated several neighborhoods before storming and ransacking many homes.

Illegal Israeli colonizers also attacked many homes and fired several live rounds at them, despite constant Israeli military deployment in the area and while a military helicopter was hovering overhead.

Just before midnight, the soldiers closed all roads leading to Hebron city, the Al-Fawwar refugee camp, Farsh Al-Hawa junction, Beit Einoun junction, and Al-Fahs junction, and the areas of Al-Harayeq and Khirbat Qalqas.

On October 28, Israeli soldiers killed two Palestinian medics, Emad Abu Rashid, 47, and Ramzi Sami Zabara, 35, near the Huwwara military roadblock south of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Osama Mahmoud Adawi

October 12, 2022: Osama Mahmoud Adawi, 18, was killed by Israeli soldiers at the main entrance of the Al-‘Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian was shot during protests that took place after many Israeli soldiers invaded the refugee camp’s main entrance area and fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that the soldiers shot Osama with a live round in the abdomen area, causing severe bleeding and internal organ damage before he was rushed to a clinic in the town; however, his heart stopped, and the doctors revived Osama before rushing him to Bethlehem Arab Society Hospital in Beit Jala, near Bethlehem.

The Health Ministry added that the young man succumbed to his serious wounds at the hospital despite all efforts to save his life.

The soldiers also injured several other Palestinians in the refugee camp; some were shot with live fire and rubber-coated steel bullets, and many suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

On the same day, the soldiers shot six young Palestinian men during protests in Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron.

On Monday, October 10, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the death of a child, Mahmoud Mohammad Sammoudi, 12, who, on September 28, was shot and seriously injured by Israel army fire when the soldiers also killed four young Palestinian men in Jenin and Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank.

Fadi Mohammad Ghattas

Fadi GhattasSeptember 02, 2022: Fadi Mohammad Fayez Ghattas, 19, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers after an alleged stabbing attack targeting soldiers, near Beit Einoun village junction, northeast of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

The young man was shot with live fire before the soldiers closed the entire area and prevented Palestinian medics from approaching him while he bled. The soldiers took him to a hospital in occupied Jerusalem, where he was pronounced dead.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers fired several live rounds at the young man from a close range, even after he fell to the ground.

They added that the soldiers also fired gas bombs and concussion grenades at Palestinians who tried to reach him.

The soldiers then called for an Israeli ambulance that arrived later while he continued to bleed on the ground.

The Israeli occupation army claimed the young stabbed and moderately injured a soldier near Kiryat Arba’ colony before another soldier opened fire and “neutralized him.”
Israeli Paramedics and army medical personnel provided treatment to the wounded soldiers before moving him to Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem. They said the soldier was fully conscious.

The army alleged that, according to its initial investigation, Fadi got out of a car and walked towards the soldiers before approaching one of them and stabbing him in the neck.

After the fatal shooting, dozens of Palestinians marched in the area, chanting against the illegal Israeli occupation, its colonies, and escalating Israeli violations.

Commenting on how he was informed of his son’s death, Mohammad Ghattas said:

“I returned from work before the wife told me that an Israeli intelligence officer phoned our home and informed her that my brother Mahmoud and I have been summoned for interrogation at Etzion military base.

“After heading there, an officer asked me about my son and if I knew where he was and what he was wearing when he left home before showing me a picture of him after he was shot and covered in his own blood.

“They executed my son. I asked them why they didn’t just shoot him in the legs to incapacitate him, and why they had to deliver fatal shots, but they never answered my questions.”

Mahmoud Fayez Abu Ayhour

June 9, 2022: Mahmoud Fayez Abu Ayhour, 27, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers who invaded the village of Halhoul and began firing live rounds at Palestinians protesting the invasion. In addition to killing Mahmoud, the soldiers injured five other Palestinians with live ammunition.

Local sources said a large military force invaded Halhoul and obstructed traffic before storming a money exchange shop, confiscating a large sum of cash, and welding it shut.

The invasion led to protests, where the soldiers fired dozens of live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs, killing a young man and wounding five.

Dr. Sharif at-Tardi, the spokesperson of the al-Mezan Specialty Hospital in Hebron, said the soldiers shot Mahmoud Fayez Abu Ayhour, 27, from Halhoul town north of Hebron, with live rounds.

He added that the bullets perforated the diaphragm and severed the thoracic aortic artery, his heart, and lung.

Dr. at-Tardi stated that the young man was rushed to the hospital in a profoundly serious condition and succumbed to his serious wounds during surgery.

The soldiers also shot two Palestinians with live rounds and one with rubber-coated steel bullets, in addition to two others who were shot with high-velocity gas bombs in their heads.

The slain young man’s uncle said Mahmoud wasn’t participating in the protests and did not pose any threat to the soldiers but was working at a construction site in the area when the soldiers started firing live rounds at random.

Ghofran Haroun Warasna

June 01, 2022: Ghofran Haroun Warasna, 31, was shot in the chest and killed by Israeli soldiers at the entrance of the al-‘Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Dr. Yousef Takrouri, the director of the Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, said Ghofran was left to bleed to death by the Israeli soldiers and died before the medics could take her to the hospital, adding that the doctors tried to revive her, but she succumbed to her serious wounds.

Dr. Yousef added that the soldiers shot Ghofran with a live round in the left side of her chest, under the armpit, adding that the bullet went through her heart and exited from the right side of her chest.

He also said the soldiers did not allow anybody to reach her and left her bleeding on the ground for twenty minutes before eventually allowing the Palestinian medics to reach her.

The slain young woman studied media and journalism at Hebron University and was active in documenting the Israeli military violations.

In addition, she was a journalist reporting to three Radio stations in Hebron.

A few days before the soldiers killed her, Ghofran started a new job at Dream Radio in Hebron and was on her way to work.

Her cousin, Yousef Warasna, said that he was heading to work in his car with his son, and was informed she was shot and killed.

An eyewitness said the woman was walking in the area heading to her work and did not attempt to attack the soldiers when they shot her near their military tower.

Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh condemned the Israeli crime and demanded the International Community act on prosecuting Israel for its ongoing and escalating violations against the civilians.

“This organized terrorism is encouraged by the absence of sanctions and punitive measures against the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine,” he said, “The lack of punishment means another crime will be committed…”.

“The International Criminal Court sent forty investigators to Ukraine in less than two months,” Dr. Shtayyeh stated, “Yet, nothing has been done to prosecute Israel for its crimes that have been ongoing for decades.”

The Israeli army claimed the soldiers shot the woman when she allegedly attempted to stab them, adding that the soldiers “neutralized the woman.” No soldiers were hurt in the purported attack.

In incidents of alleged stabbings or attempted stabbings, the Israeli army does not allow the Palestinian medics to approach the wounded and instead calls for an Israeli ambulance, leaving the wounded bleeding to “secure the scene” and ensure they have the person in custody regardless of their condition.

However, the soldiers allowed the Palestinian medics to transfer her to a Palestinian hospital in Hebron city instead of taking her to an Israeli hospital, an issue that casts serious doubts on the military allegations.

Abdullah Tayseer Mousa Srour

April 12, 2022: Abdullah Tayseer Mousa Srour, 41, was killed by Israeli police officers after they invaded a construction site, looking for people with no entry or work permits, in Asqalan (Ashkelon) city.

Eyewitnesses said the Police invaded the construction site to look for Palestinian workers who have no permits and shot one after he reportedly refused to show him his ID card.

Abdullah worked in Amman – Jordan, selling car parts and fixing cars, and used to come to Palestine to work in construction for a few months of the year for the last four years.

The family said he had no political affiliation and was a hardworking man trying to survive and support his family.

The police claim that the worker was “behaving suspiciously,” “had a knife,” and “stabbed an officer,” causing a mild injury before he was fatally shot.

The Israeli Public Security Minister Omer Barlev “congratulated” the officer who killed Mousa and said he “prevented an attack with his own body…” Israeli National News said.

Shaher Sa’ad, the secretary of the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions, denounced the escalating Israeli volition against the Palestinian workers and added that the Israeli Police has been invading construction sites and interrogating the Palestinian workers while checking for permits in addition to repeatedly assaulting and detaining them.

“Abdullah worked hard to support his family, living in Jordan because Israel refused to grant them family reunification documents; he was an electrician and was trying to support his wife and son,” Sa’ad said, “This policy of killing our people, our workers, is a serious violation of International Law; “Palestinian workers are looking for their daily bread to feed their families and support them.”
