Mahmoud Ashraf al-Khalili

August 04, 2014: Mahmoud Ashraf al-Khalili, 7, died from serious wounds he suffered on July 30, 2014, when Israeli soldiers fired two tank shells at the house of Mohammed Ata al-Khalili, in the al-Sanafour area, in the at-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza city.

His father, Ashraf, 33, his mother, Nedaa, 27, and his brother, Ziyad, 2, were killed instantly by the Israeli shells.

His uncle, Ahmad Mahmoud al-Khalili, 28, along with his wife, Aya Mohammed al-Khalili, 23, and their daughter, Lama Ahmed al-Khalili, 4, were also killed in the same attack.

The family was waiting to be evacuated from the area due to the heavy Israeli shelling and bombardment of various neighborhoods in Gaza.

At least 110 Palestinians, including many children and women, were killed by Israeli missiles and shells that day alone, in different parts of the Gaza Strip.
