June 9, 2017: Aa’ed Khamis Jom’a, 35, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired live rounds and gas bombs at Palestinian protesters on Palestinian lands near the border fence east of Jabalia in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
Aa’ed was shot with a live round in the head and instantly died from his wounds before his corpse was moved to the Indonesian Hospital in nearby Beit Lahia city.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli soldiers stationed on military towers across the border fence fired dozens of live rounds and gas bombs at the protesters, who were marching near the border fence, and added that the army also used drones.
The al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, issued a statement mourning Jom’a as one of its members. There have been no armed clashes during the Israeli attack, and none of the protesters, including the slain Palestinian, carried a weapon.
Another Palestinian was also shot with a live round in his leg, after the soldiers attacked protesters in Palestinian lands, east of Gaza city.
Dozens of Palestinians suffered the effects of teargas inhalation after the soldiers, stationed in the Nahal Oz military base, east of Sheja’eyya neighborhood, in the eastern part of Gaza city, across the fence, fired gas bombs into Palestinian lands.

June 6, 2017: Fadi Ibrahim Najjar, 25, was killed by Israeli soldiers who shot him in the stomach while he and other Palestinians were protesting on their own land. The soldiers injured at least seven other Palestinians in the Gaza Strip that day.
June 2, 2017: Nawf Eqab Enfei’at, 16, died from serious wounds she suffered a day earlier after Israeli soldiers shot her. They claimed she attacked and stabbed one of them at a military roadblock near Mavo Dotan settlement, southwest of Jenin city, in the northern part of the West Bank.
May 25, 2017: Mohannad Abu Safaqa, 45, died from serious wounds he suffered two days earlier after reportedly stabbing and wounding an Israeli police officer.
May 22, 2017: Raed Ahmad Radayda, 15, was killed by Israeli soldiers at the “Container” military roadblock near Bethlehem, after he allegedly ran towards the soldiers while carrying a knife.
May 20, 2017: Fatima Jibril Taqatqa, 15, died from serious wounds she suffered on March 15, 2017, when an Israeli soldier shot her after she lost control of a car she was driving and struck a median at the Etzion settlement junction south of Bethlehem in the West Bank.
May 18, 2017: Mo’taz Hussein Bani Shamsa, 23, was killed by a live round fired by an Israeli settler in Huwwara Palestinian town, south of Nablus, in the northern part of the West Bank, during a procession in solidarity with Palestinian political prisoners holding hunger strike since April 17th.
May 15, 2017: Mohammad Majed Bakr, 25, was killed by Israeli navy fire after the navy opened fire on Palestinian fishing boats close to the Gaza shore, shooting him and abducting three other fishermen, and confiscating their boats.
May 12, 2017: Saba’ Nidal Obeid, 22, was killed by an Israeli army sharpshooter who shot him in the heart during a nonviolent procession held in Nabi Saleh village, northwest of Ramallah, in the West Bank.
May 7, 2017: Fatima Afeef Abdul-Rahman Hajiji, 16, was killed by Israeli soldiers and police officers near the entrance of Damascus Gate in Jerusalem after the police claimed she attempted to stab a security officer.
