August 28th, 2021: Ali Burqan, 17, was killed in an accident that took place during a home demolition ordered by Israeli authorities. He was killed when a wall collapsed on him, while he and many residents were helping their neighbors who were forced by Israel to demolish their home in occupied Jerusalem.

Maan said the boy, identified as Ali Burqan, 17, was killed when a wall collapsed on him during the manual demolition of a home in the al-Marwaha Street in Beit Hanina, north of Jerusalem.

It added that dozens of Palestinians were helping the family who was forced to demolish its home under the pretext of not being licensed by the City council in occupied Jerusalem.

The family was forced to demolish its home to avoid the excessively high fines and fees which they would incur if the City Council demolished the property using its workers and equipment.

On Friday, a Palestinian family in occupied Jerusalem was also forced to demolish its home in Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Israel’s policy of rejecting building permit applications from Palestinians started many years ago and has led to the displacement of hundreds of Palestinian families following the demolition of their homes.

Many Palestinians in the occupied city resort to constructing their homes without permits due to Israel’s continued refusal to issue these permits, while the growing families find themselves living in small homes or apartments.

At the same time, Israel continues to build and expand its illegal, segregated colonies in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, in direct violation of International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions.

On Wednesday, the soldiers demolished an under-construction Palestinian home in Silwan, a home on the al-Walaja village, northwest of Bethlehem, and a car repair facility in addition to the foundation of an under-construction mosque, a well, and a toilet room, in Hebron, in the southern West Bank.

According to data by the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD), demolished 865 structures, displacing 1,014 people, and directly affecting 5,615 people. In addition to demolishing 2,586 buildings in the Negev, in the year 2020.

Omar Hasan Abu an-Neel

August 28th, 2021: Omar Hasan Abu an-Neel, 12, succumbed to wounds he suffered a week earlier when Israeli soldiers shot and seriously wounded him, in the eastern part of the coastal region.

Omar was shot in the head during a protest near the perimeter fence in Malka area, east Gaza city.

The medics rushed him to a hospital where he was admitted to surgery.

He remained in a critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit until he succumbed to his serious wounds.

On the day that he was shot, 41 Palestinians were injured, many of whom were shot with live ammunition, including Omar.

Israeli sources report that an Israeli soldier was seriously injured when he was shot by a Palestinian protester through a hole in the perimeter wall where protesters were gathered.

According to the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights, beginning on 30 March 2018, 215 civilians were shot and killed, including 47 children, 2 women, 9 persons with disabilities, 4 paramedics, and 2 journalists.

Osama DeijAugust 25, 2021: Osama Khaled D’eij, 32, died of wounds sustained the previous Saturday, August 21st, when he was shot with live ammunition by Israeli forces during protests that took place near the perimeter fence, east of Gaza city.

After he was shot, he was rushed to the Shifa Medical Center where he was immediately admitted to surgery, but remained in a critical condition at the Urgent Care Unit until he succumbed to his wounds.

Medical sources at the Shifa Medical Center, west of Gaza city, reported on Wednesday morning, that Osama died from serious wounds he suffered when he was shot by Israeli forces with expanding bullets and seriously wounded on Saturday.

His family said that he got married only about a month before he was shot and subsequently died from his serious wounds.

On the same day, the soldiers shot and injured 41 Palestinians, including several children, during protests on Palestinian land near the fence, commemorating the 52nd anniversary of the burning of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in occupied Jerusalem.

The holy site was burnt, on August 23rd, 1969, by Denis Michael Rohan, a fanatic Australian citizen.

Israel arrested Rohan, before alleging that he was “insane”, and hospitalized him in a mental institution, and on May 14th, 1974, he was released and deported on what Israel called “humanitarian grounds, further psychiatric treatment near his family”.

On Tuesday at dawn, Israeli soldiers invaded Balata refugee camp, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and killed a child, identified as Emad Hashash, 15, while he was on the rooftop of his home.

August, 24, 2021: Emad Hashash, 15, was killed by Israeli soldiers who invaded Balata refugee camp, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Ahmad Jibril, the head of the Nablus office of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), said the slain child was shot with a live Israeli army round in the head and was pronounced dead after he was transferred to Rafidia hospital in Nablus.

His uncle said the child went on the rooftop of his home to watch the unfolding events when many army vehicles invaded the refugee camp before a soldier shot him in the head.

Talking to the Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA, Emad’s brother, Mohammad, said that he and his brother went on the rooftop to take videos and pictures of the Israeli vehicles while withdrawing from the refugee camp before a soldier fired live rounds at them.

He added that the bullet penetrated his brother’s face through his nose and exited from the back of his skull.

He also said that the soldiers hurled a gas grenade at the main door of their home, and obstructed the ambulance while rushing to reach him.

“It took about 40 minutes from the moment he was shot until the medics were able to transfer him to the hospital,” Mohammad stated, “During this time, we were unable to leave out home to seek help for more than 15 minutes.”

The child was killed after several Israeli army vehicles invaded the refugee camp, and fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs at Palestinians who protested the incursion, and surrounding homes.

The Israeli army claimed that the child was killed during an exchange of fire with Israeli soldiers who invaded the refugee camp to “arrest a wanted Palestinian,” and added that the soldiers shot him when they reportedly “saw him on a roof of a building about to throw a rock at the soldiers.”

Eyewitnesses said the child was killed at dawn and added that the exchange of fire took place between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli soldiers shortly after midnight.

The soldiers also invaded and ransacked many homes in the refugee camp, before abducting a young man, identified as Sa’ad al-Ka’bi.

Mohammad Hasan Shabrawi

 August 22, 2021: Mohammad Hasan Shabrawi, a former political prisoner, who was held by Israel and denied medical treatment, has died while receiving the needed medical attention in Turkey.

Montaser Sammour, the head of the Jenin office of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), in northern West Bank, said Shabrawi was imprisoned by Israel for five years (2013-2018), and was denied medical treatment for his liver disease while in detention, an issue that caused him serious complications.

Despite being released three years ago, and undergoing treatment in the West Bank, Shabrawi faced numerous complications, before he was transferred to a hospital in Turkey, and was supposed to undergo and kidney transplant, but died on Sunday, August 22nd.

In April 2020, the PPS said a detainee, identified as Nour Jaber Barghouthi, 23, was from ‘Aboud town, northwest of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, died in the Negev Desert Detention Camp, after fainting in the shower, and Israeli soldiers failed to provide him with any medical aid for more than thirty minutes.

The PPS addd that Israel is also still holding the remains of five deceased detainees, identified as Anis Doula who died of medical neglect in the year 1980, Aziz Oweisat, 53, who died on May 20, 2018, at an Israeli hospital from serious complications after he was assaulted by several Israeli soldiers in the prison, Fares Baroud, 51, who died on February 6, 2019, of medical neglect in an Israeli prison, Nassar Taqatqa, 31, who died after having been tortured in an Israeli prison on July 16, 2019, and Bassam Sayeh, 47, who died on September 8, 2019, in an Israeli prison, due to medical neglect.

The number of Palestinian detainees who died in Israeli prisons since the year 1967 after Israel occupied the rest of Palestine, including East Jerusalem, to 273.

More than 73 of the detainees who died in Israeli prisons since 1967 were tortured to death, 67 died after not receiving the needed medical treatment, 75 were shot to death after being captured, and seven were killed by Israeli army fire while in prison.

August 16, 2021: Amjad Eyad Azmi Husseiniyya, 20, was one of four Palestinians shot and killed by Israeli soldiers during an invasion into Jenin, in the northern West Bank.

Media sources in Jenin said the killing of the Palestinians took place when undercover Israeli soldiers infiltrated into Jenin refugee camp using a civilian car before the soldiers stormed an under-construction residential building and secretly occupied its rooftop.

They added that many Israeli army jeeps then invaded the refugee camp and exchanged fire with Palestinian resistance fighters who were unaware of the undercover soldiers occupying the building and were killed by their gunfire.

One Palestinian, identified as Qassam Mohammad Taha, 24, suffered various gunshot wounds to his left arm and was rushed to Jenin governmental hospital.

In addition, the army invaded and ransacked homes in the Jenin refugee camp, and abducted a young man, identified as Mohammad Abu Zeina.

National factions in Jenin declared a general strike to mourn the slain Palestinians.

The Israeli army claimed its soldiers, including the undercover officers, invaded Jenin to arrest a member of the Hamas movement, before an exchange of fire took place between the soldiers and Palestinian resistance fighters.

August 16, 2021: Nour Abdullah Jarrar, 19, was one of four Palestinians shot and killed by Israeli soldiers during an invasion into Jenin, in the northern West Bank.

Media sources in Jenin said the killing of the Palestinians took place when undercover Israeli soldiers infiltrated into Jenin refugee camp using a civilian car before the soldiers stormed an under-construction residential building and secretly occupied its rooftop.

They added that many Israeli army jeeps then invaded the refugee camp and exchanged fire with Palestinian resistance fighters who were unaware of the undercover soldiers occupying the building and were killed by their gunfire.

Medical sources at Khalil Suleiman governmental hospital in Jenin, have confirmed receiving the corpses of two Palestinians, identified as Saleh Ahmad Mahmoud Ammar, 19, from Jenin refugee camp, and Raed Ziad Abdul-Latif Abu Saif, 21, from Jenin city.

They added that another Palestinian, identified as Nour Abdullah Jarrar, 19, from Jenin city, was also killed by the soldiers who took his corpse.

The soldiers also shot and seriously injured a fourth Palestinian, identified as Amjad Eyad Azmi Husseiniyya, 20, who succumbed to his wounds after the soldiers abducted him.

One Palestinian, identified as Qassam Mohammad Taha, 24, suffered various gunshot wounds to his left arm and was rushed to Jenin governmental hospital.

Diaeddin Mohammad Sabarini

August 11th, 2021: Diaeddin Mohammad Sabarini, 25, died from serious wounds he suffered a week earlier, when the Israeli army shot and seriously injured him in the northern West Bank city of Jenin.

Medical sources stated that the young man, identified as Diaeddin Mohammad Sabarini, 25, died from wounds sustained when he was shot by Israeli forces, three times in the upper body, on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.

During an invasion of the industrial zone of Jenin, Israeli soldiers and undercover agents shot and wounded six Palestinians with live rounds, for resisting the incursion.

Sabarini had been seriously injured after being shot in the abdomen, and was evacuated to a nearby Nablus hospital for urgent treatment where he succumbed to his critical gunshot wounds a week later.
