July 20, 2014: Yasmin Ahmed Abu Jame’, 25, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired missiles into the three-story house of Tawfiq Ahmad Abu Jame’, where five families lived, in Bani Suheila town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
Yasmin was pregnant when she was killed along with her daughters, Batoul, 3, Suheila, 2, and Bisan, 1, and her mother-in-law, Fatma Mahmoud Abu Jame’, 64. 25 family members, and a visiting acquaintance, were killed in the attack.
The intensity of the Israeli bombardment and shelling prevented medics and rescue teams from conducting an efficient search until the next day.
Among the killed were 19 children, including two infant girls; one was four months, and the other was just one day old, while the rest were between the ages of 1 and 14. Yasmin was from Bani Suheila, in Khan Younis. Source: Mezan Center for Human Rights
