Nour Abdullah Jarrar

August 16, 2021: Nour Abdullah Jarrar, 19, was one of four Palestinians shot and killed by Israeli soldiers during an invasion into Jenin, in the northern West Bank.

Media sources in Jenin said the killing of the Palestinians took place when undercover Israeli soldiers infiltrated into Jenin refugee camp using a civilian car before the soldiers stormed an under-construction residential building and secretly occupied its rooftop.

They added that many Israeli army jeeps then invaded the refugee camp and exchanged fire with Palestinian resistance fighters who were unaware of the undercover soldiers occupying the building and were killed by their gunfire.

Medical sources at Khalil Suleiman governmental hospital in Jenin, have confirmed receiving the corpses of two Palestinians, identified as Saleh Ahmad Mahmoud Ammar, 19, from Jenin refugee camp, and Raed Ziad Abdul-Latif Abu Saif, 21, from Jenin city.

They added that another Palestinian, identified as Nour Abdullah Jarrar, 19, from Jenin city, was also killed by the soldiers who took his corpse.

The soldiers also shot and seriously injured a fourth Palestinian, identified as Amjad Eyad Azmi Husseiniyya, 20, who succumbed to his wounds after the soldiers abducted him.

One Palestinian, identified as Qassam Mohammad Taha, 24, suffered various gunshot wounds to his left arm and was rushed to Jenin governmental hospital.

In addition, the army invaded and ransacked homes in the Jenin refugee camp, and abducted a young man, identified as Mohammad Abu Zeina.

National factions in Jenin declared a general strike to mourn the slain Palestinians.

The Israeli army claimed its soldiers, including the undercover officers, invaded Jenin to arrest a member of the Hamas movement, before an exchange of fire took place between the soldiers and Palestinian resistance fighters.

The army added that no injuries were reported among the soldiers.

Saleh Ahmad Mahmoud Ammar

Ahmad Ismail Jarrar

January 17th, 2018: Ahmad Ismail Mohammad Jarrar, 31, was killed by Israeli soldiers at dawn while at his cousin’s home in Wad Burqin area, west of Jenin.

The deceased was originally thought to be Ahmad Nassar Jarrar, 22, who Israeli authorities say is a suspect in the December 9th shooting of an Israeli settler.

The 31-year-old Ahmad Ismail Jarrar was described by family members as a laborer who was not involved in politics.

Israeli soldiers arrived at the Jarrar home at dawn and ordered all occupants out into the cold.

Israeli forces then fired rockets into the building and then, using bulldozers, completely demolished three homes belonging to Jarrar family members and severely damaging a fourth.

After detonating and demolishing the home, the soldiers continued to fire live rounds, while sounds of further explosions could be heard, but the soldiers refused to allow ambulances and firefighters to enter the area.

According to PCHR’s investigation and eyewitnesses’ statements, at approximately 22:40 on Wednesday, 17 January 2018, heliborne Yamam Unit forces, which is part of the “Musta’ribin” special units dressing like Palestinian civilians, landed in the vicinity of Qabatiyah village and Muthalath al-Shuhada’a, south of Jenin.

The Unit officers sneaked into the targeted area, south of the city, overlooking Jenin refugee camp and Burqin Valley. At approximately 23:10, another force sneaked into Jaffa Petrol Station on Jaffa Street near al-Dakhliyah Intersection, west of the city.

The special unit officers in 2 civilian cars carrying Palestinian registration plates raided the petrol station, from which they arrested two workers namely Ahmed Jamil Ahmed al-Qamba’a (28) and Salah Eden Sobhi Abdullah Jaradat (26) and confiscated the DVR of the surveillance cameras.

The special unit officers then headed to Burqin Valley and stationed in the vicinity of houses belonging to Jarrar family. When armed Palestinians noticed the special unit officers, clashes erupted.

At approximately 00:50 on Thursday, 18 January 2018, Israeli military backups accompanied with 2 military bulldozers arrived. They surrounded a house belonging to Nasser Khalid Ibrahim Jarrar and then fired 4 shells from the rocket-propelled grenade at the house.

The Israeli forces said that they targeted Nasser’s son Ahmed and killed him. They then arrested 2 civilians alleged to be members of the cell accused of killing the Israeli settler.

The invasion and the killing of the Palestinian man led to massive protests, before the soldiers fired dozens of live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs, causing several injuries, including at least one, who was shot with live fire.

The soldiers also invaded and ransacked several stores, and confiscated surveillance recordings, in Jenin city.

At least thirty vehicles participated in the invasion into Jenin and Jenin refugee camp, after the soldiers surrounded, and isolated, many areas.

Aws Salama

July 12, 2017: Aws Mohammad Salama, 17, was killed by Israeli soldiers who invaded Jenin refugee camp, in the northern West Bank governorate of Jenin, and fired dozens of live rounds and gas bombs, during clashes that took place following the invasion.

The soldiers also shot Sa’ad Hasan Salah, 21, from Jenin refugee camp, with three live rounds, including one in the head, before he succumbed to his wounds on the operating table in a hospital in Jenin.

The Israeli army claimed that many Palestinian protesters hurled homemade explosives and Molotov cocktail on the military vehicles.

A third Palestinian, identified as Odai Nizar Abu Na’sa, 19, was seriously injured, after the soldiers shot him with an expanding bullet in his leg. Aws was from Jenin refugee camp.

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) issued a statement strongly condemning the excessive use of force by the Israeli military, and affirming that the two Palestinians were not part of any clashes which broke out between the Palestinian civilians and Israeli soldiers. Source: IMEMC

Sa’ed Salah

July 12, 2017: Sa’ed Nasser Salah, 20, was killed by Israeli soldiers who invaded Jenin refugee camp, in the northern West Bank governorate of Jenin, and fired dozens of live rounds and gas bombs, during clashes that took place following the invasion.

Sa’ad was shot with three live rounds, including one in the head, and succumbed to his wounds on the operating table in a hospital in Jenin.

He has three brothers; one of them, Yousef, is imprisoned by Israel, and one is a former political prisoner, while their father became paralyzed several years ago, after the soldiers shot him in his spine.

During the invasion, the soldiers also killed Aws Mohammed Yousif Salamah, 17, from Jenin refugee camp, after shooting them with live fire.

The Israeli army claimed that many Palestinian protesters hurled homemade explosives and Molotov cocktail on the military vehicles.
