September 28, 2018: Eyad Khalil Ahmad Sha’er, 18, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers east of Gaza City while participating in a protest at the border fence between Gaza and Israel. He was one of seven Palestinians, including two children, who were killed by Israeli forces during protests on Friday.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that in addition to the seven Palestinians killed, Israeli soldiers wounded 506 others, including 90 with live fire; three of them suffered serious wounds, during the Great Return March processions, in the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, said, “the types of injuries, and the deliberate use of sniper fire against the protesters, reflect one of the bloodiest and most brutal military assaults against the processions in the Gaza Strip, since the massacre of May 14.”

The army killed sixty Palestinians on May 14th, 2018, including six children and four officers of the Ministry of Interior and National Security, in the Gaza Strip, and injured more than 2700. |

Dr. al-Qedra stated that 506 Palestinians suffered various types of injuries, 210 of them were moved to hospitals, and added that 90 of the injured were shot with live fire, including three who suffered life-threatening wounds.

He also said that among the wounded are 35 children, four women, four medics (including one with live fire,) and two journalists.

The soldiers killed Mohammad Ali Mohammad Anshassi, 18, and Nasser Azmi Misbih, 12, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.  

In Gaza city, Israeli army sharpshooters killed Eyad Khalil Ahmad Sha’er, 18, who was killed east of the city, Mohammad Bassam Shakhsa, 24, from the Sheja’eyya neighborhood, east of Gaza city, and Mohammad Waleed Haniyya, 24, from the Shati refugee camp. Their corpses were moved to the Shifa Medical Center, west of Gaza city.

Furthermore, an army sharpshooter killed a child, identified as Mohammad Nayef al-Houm, 14, with a live round in the chest, east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza, before his corpse was moved to Al-Aqsa Hospital, in Deir al-Balah.

The soldiers also killed Mohammad Ashraf al-Awawda, 23, from the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza.

Thousands of Palestinians participated in the Great Return March procession, along the perimeter fence, across the eastern parts besieged Gaza Strip, for the 24th consecutive Friday, while many burnt tires, and a few managed to cross the fence.

The protesters also managed to down an Israeli drone flying over the Great Return Camp, east of Rafah, in southern Gaza.

The Israeli army said that some protesters flew flammable balloons, across the perimeter fence.

The soldiers also fired several tank shells at observation posts, run by the al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, east of Gaza city.

Over 180 Palestinians have been killed and thousands others injured since the outbreak of the Gaza border protests, on March 30. The protests call for ending the 12-year-long Israeli blockade of Gaza and for the right of return of the refugees.

Over 17,000 Palestinians have been wounded – 4,000 of them with live ammunition fired by Israeli soldiers toward the demonstrators.

Mohammad Fayez Abu Sadeq

September 24, 2018: Mohammad Fayez Salim Abu Sadeq, 21, was killed by Israeli soldiers killed during a protest in northern Gaza, as many boats attempted to sail and challenge the ongoing Israeli siege on the coastal region. 90 Palestinians were wounded, several of them shot with live bullets fired by the Israeli military.

Media sources in Gaza said the soldiers fired a barrage of live fire, in addition to high-velocity gas bombs and rubber-coated steel bullets.

The Health Ministry in Gaza has confirmed that the soldiers killed Mohammad Fayez Salim Abu Sadeq, 21, and injured ninety other Palestinians, including ten who were shot with live fire.

It added that the soldiers also fired a gas bomb directly at a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance, while trying to reach some of the wounded protesters.

Furthermore, the soldiers shot Monser Sawwaf, a cameraman working of the Anadolu Turkish News Agency, with a gas bomb in his leg, while live rounds also struck his camera and equipment.

It is worth mentioning that, using slingshots, Palestinian protesters managed to down an Israeli drone while firing gas bombs at them.

The soldiers also fired many gas bombs and live rounds at the boats, trying to break the illegal siege on Gaza.

The attack on the floating protest followed a week of violence by Israeli soldiers against non-violent Palestinian demonstrators.

On Sunday evening, the soldiers killed a young Palestinian man, identified as Emad Daoud Eshteiwi, 21, and injured at least 20 others, including one medic, along the eastern part of the besieged Gaza Strip.

On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, the soldiers killed a Palestinian child, identified as Mo’men Ibrahim Abu Eyada, 15, after shooting him in the head while he was participating in a non-violent protest east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

On Tuesday, September 18, 2018, the soldiers killed four Palestinians, at dawn and during evening hours, east of Khan Younis, and near Beit Hanoun (Erez) Terminal in northern Gaza, and injured dozens of residents with live fire, in addition firing many gas bombs and concussion grenades causing many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

The slain Palestinians have been identified as Ahmad Mohammad Mohsin Omar, 20, from the al-Shati’ refugee camp, Mohammad Ahmad Abu Naji, 34, from Jabalia, in addition to Naji Jamil Abu ‘Aassi, 18, and Ala’ Ziad Abu ‘Aassi, 21, from Khan Younis.

Emad Daoud Eshteiwi

Emad ShteiwiSeptember 23, 2018: Emad Daoud Eshteiwi, 21, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired a bullet in his head while he was participating in a non-violent protest at the border fence with Israel, in the eastern part of the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that in addition to killing Emad, Israeli soldiers injured at least 20 other protesters, including one medic.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, said the soldiers shot Emad with a live round in the head, east of Gaza city, and moderately injured a medic in the leg.

He added that the soldiers also shot twenty Palestinians with live rounds, along the perimeter fence, in the eastern parts of the coastal region, especially east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza, where the army shot at least 14 Palestinians.

The Palestinians were shot during the ongoing Great Return March processions in the besieged Gaza Strip, while many burnt tires in an attempt to block the sniper vision of the Israeli soldiers, stationed hundreds of meters away, across the perimeter fence.

In addition, Israeli drones fired missiles at protesters near the fence, east of Gaza city, causing several injuries.

The killing of Emad followed a week of violence by Israeli forces against unarmed Palestinian protesters in Gaza.

On September 21, 2018, Karim Mohammad Kollab, 25, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers while participating in a non-violent protest at the Israeli border east of Gaza City.

On the same day that Karim was killed, Israeli soldiers injured 312 other Palestinians, including 54 with live fire, after the army attacked the Great Return March processions, in several parts of the Gaza Strip.

September 21, 2018: Karim Mohammad Kollab, 25, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers while participating in a non-violent protest at the Israeli border east of Gaza City.

On the same day that Karim was killed, Israeli soldiers injured 312 other Palestinians, including 54 with live fire, after the army attacked the Great Return March processions, in several parts of the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza has confirmed that the soldiers killed Karim, after shooting him with live fire, east of Gaza city.

It added that the soldiers also injured 312 Palestinians, including 100 with live fire.

100 of the wounded Palestinians were rushed to hospitals in the Gaza Strip, while five of the injured residents suffered life-threatening wounds.

The Health Ministry also said that among the wounded are twenty children and two women.

In related news, an Israeli tank fired a shell at Palestinian protesters near the perimeter fence, east of Gaza city, while an Israeli drone fired two missiles at a site, east of Gaza.

According to online Israeli daily Haaretz, the army carried out several air strikes in northern Gaza, and quoted the military alleging that a number of protesters “hurled explosives and grenades,” in addition to burning tires.

It added that one soldier was mildly injured by shrapnel, while firefighters extinguished six blazes caused by flaming balloons and kites, near the border area.

Mo’men Ibrahim Abu Eyada

September 19, 2018: Mo’men Ibrahim Abu Eyada, 15, was killed by Israeli soldiers who shot him in the head while he was participating in a non-violent protest east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

In addition to killing Mo’men, the Israeli military wounded dozens of others at both the protest east of Rafah and other protests at the border wall in several parts of the Gaza Strip.

According to Israeli Ynet News, the army said they “had no knowledge of any casualties or any live fire used by the soldiers,” and added that “only a very few officials were available for comments, because Israel was marking the Yom Kippur fast day.”

Furthermore, the soldiers fired dozens of live rounds, and high-velocity gas bombs, at Palestinian protesters near the perimeter fence, east of Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza, wounding six Palestinians with live fire, and causing many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

The wounded Palestinians were rushed to the Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, while the medics provided the needed treatment to scores of Palestinians who suffered the effects of teargas inhalation, in addition to various cuts and bruises.

In addition, the soldiers attacked many protesters on Palestinian lands near Kissufim military base, northeast of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, moderate wounding eight after shooting them with live fire, and causing many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

Also on Wednesday, the soldiers abducted two young Palestinian men after they crossed the perimeter fence, in southern Gaza, and moved them to an interrogation facility.

The army said dozens of Palestinians “breached the fence from several parts of the Gaza Strip, and managed to return to the coastal region.”

It added that Naji and Ala’ were killed at dawn, after an Israeli war jet fired a missile at them, east of Khan Younis.

Also on Tuesday, the soldiers killed Mohammad Yousef Sha’ban Oleyyan, 26, in the al-Misrara area, in occupied East Jerusalem, after he reportedly attempted to stab soldiers, and Mohammad Zaghloul al-Khatib, 24, was beaten to death by Israeli soldiers who invaded his home, in Beit Rima town northwest of Ramallah, in central West Bank, while he was sleeping at dawn.

September 18, 2018: Ahmad Mohammad Muhsen ‘Omar, 24, from al-Shati’ refugee camp, was shot and killed by a bullet to the chest fired by Israeli soldiers toward a non-violent Palestinian protest in Beit Hanoun.

Ahmad was killed along with another protester, Mohammad Ahmad Mohammed Abu Naji, 32, who was hit with a bullet to the chest. Both of them were taken to the Indonesian Hospital in Jabalia.

Israeli forces stationed at the Beit Hanoun “Erez” Crossing in the northern Gaza Strip fired live bullets and tear gas canisters to disperse hundreds of civilians who were protesting near the crossing, following a call from the National Committee of March for Return and Breaking the Siege to participate in the “Together for the Rights of Refugees and Breaking the Siege” activity.

The soldiers fired a barrage of high-velocity gas bombs, and concussion grenades at them, in addition to many rounds of live ammunition.Media sources in Gaza said thousands of Palestinians participated in the procession, many of them were transported by buses, and started waving flags and chanting against the ongoing illegal Israeli siege on Gaza, and the escalating Israeli violations against the civilians.

September 18, 2018: Mohammad Yousef Sha’ban Oleyyan, 26, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers in the al-Misrara area, in occupied East Jerusalem, after he reportedly attempted to stab soldiers.

The Palestinian was identified as Mohammad Yousef Sha’ban Oleyyan, 26, from Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem.

Eyewitnesses said that the soldiers kept Mohammad’s body on the ground for nearly three hours without allowing medical personnel to reach him..

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers fired dozens of live rounds at the young man, repeatedly shooting him, while many bullets also struck a Palestinian store and a car several meters away.

They added that the soldiers closed the entire area and did not allow the Palestinians to enter it, but allowed Israeli colonialist settlers through, while dozens of additional soldiers and police officers were brought to the area and its surroundings.

The Fateh movement issued a statement saying that Mohammad was one of its members in Qalandia refugee camp.

Prior to his death, Israeli soldiers killed four Palestinian civilians, including one child, without posing any threat of life of soldiers, in two crimes in the southern and northern parts of the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights has reported.
