July 14, 2018: Mohammad Nasser Shorab, 18, was shot and critically wounded by Israeli forces while at a protest at the Gaza-Israel border as part of the Great Return March protest. After surgeons tried for hours to save his life, he died in the early morning hours on Saturday.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed Mohammad with live gunfire, in addition to another teen, Omar Hallas, and injured 220 residents, including one journalist, Mo’in ad-Dabba, and two medics, during Great Return March protests on July 13th, 2018, in the Gaza Strip.

The Health Ministry said 55 of the wounded Palestinians were rushed to hospitals in the coastal region, and added that 165 others suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

The Ministry said Mohammad was shot with live Israeli army fire, during the Great Return March procession, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

It added that Mohammad, from Khan Younis, was declared clinically dead, late on Friday at night, and succumbed to his serious wounds approximately at 7 in the morning, Saturday.

The Great March of Return protests began on March 30, for the commemoration of Land Day, when, in 1976, six Palestinian citizens of Israel were killed by Israeli forces, after protesting the confiscation of their land.

Demonstrations reached a peak on May 14th, 2018, which marked 70 years since the Nakba – the ethnic cleansing of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians by Zionist militias. It was also the day that Donald Trump moved the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, thereby denying the right to exist of the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians living in the city.

On May 14th, Israeli forces committed a massacre against the unarmed demonstrators in Gaza, killing 60.

Since then, over 137 Palestinians have been killed and some 15,000 others injured by Israeli forces attacking protests in Gaza since March 30^th2018.

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) issued a detailed account of the assassination of Othman, and a condemnation of the shooting of the clearly unarmed protester.

July 13, 2018: Othman Rami Hillis, 15, was shot and killed by Israeli forces while at a protest at the Gaza-Israel border as part of the Great Return March protest.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed Othman, and injured 220 residents, including one journalist, Mo’in ad-Dabba, and two medics, during Great Return March protests in the Gaza Strip.

The Health Ministry said 55 of the wounded Palestinians were rushed to hospitals in the coastal region, and added that 165 others suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

The Health Ministry said an Israeli army sniper killed Othman with a live round, at a protest east of Gaza city.

A video of the incident showed the child, along with other Palestinian protesters, near the border fence when the Israeli army sharpshooter killed him as he reached for the railing on the fence, which is installed on the Palestinian side of the border.

On May 14th, Israeli forces committed a massacre against the unarmed demonstrators in Gaza, killing 60.

Since then, over 137 Palestinians have been killed and some 15,000 others injured by Israeli forces attacking protests in Gaza since March 30^th2018.

July 4, 2018: Mahmoud Majed Gharabli, 16, died from serious wounds he suffered on May 14^th, after Israeli soldiers shot him during the Great Return March in Gaza.

The Ministry said the teen was shot by an Israeli army sniper east of Gaza city, while participating in a non-violent demonstration at the Gaza-Israel border.

The teen was shot in the head and remained in serious condition until he succumbed to his wounds on July 4^th.

On the same day of his injury, May 14th, the soldiers killed sixty Palestinians, and injured 2700, including 27 who suffered very serious wounds, 59 serious injuries, 735 moderate wounds, and 882 suffered light wounds. Several Palestinians died from their critical injuries days, or weeks, after the being shot.

772 of the wounded Palestinians were shot with live rounds, three with rubber-coated steel bullets, 91 with shrapnel, 100 cuts and bruises and 737 suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

65 of the wounded were shot in the head and neck, 116 in their arms, 48 in the chest and back, 651 in the lower extremities, 52 in several parts of their bodies and 737 suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

Mohammad’s death brings the number of Palestinians, who were killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the Great Return March on March 30^th, to 136, including 17 children and two women, as confirmed by the Health Ministry in Gaza.

The Ministry also said that the soldiers injured 15501 Palestinians, including 7270 who were treated in field trauma stabilization units, and 8221 who were moved to hospitals.

Among the injured are 2525 children, 1158 women, in addition to 375 who suffered severe wounds, 3819 moderate wounds, and 4027 minor injuries.

The Ministry said Israeli soldiers shot 4024 Palestinians with live ammunition, 428 with rubber-coated steel bullets, 1497 suffered severe effects of gas inhalation, and 2273 suffered various cuts and bruises.

588 of the wounded were injured in the head and neck, 340 in the chest and back, 370 in the abdomen and pelvis, 1011 in the upper limbs, 4161 in the lower limbs, and 1606 in other parts of their bodies.

It also said that 55 Palestinians suffered amputations in their lower limbs, 1 in the upper limb, and 6 suffered amputations of fingers.

The Israeli army also killed two Palestinian medics, identified as Razan Ashraf Najjar, 22, and Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein, 36, injured 318 others with live bullets and gas bombs, and caused damage to 45 ambulances.

In addition, the soldiers killed two journalists, identified as Yasser Mortaja, 31, and Ahmad Mohammad Abu Hussein, 25.

June 8, 2018: Ziad Jadallah al-Breem, 27, was killed by Israeli army fire east of Khuza’a town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, while participating in a non-violent protest against the imprisonment of Gaza by the Israeli military, which has surrounded the coastal strip since 2005, controlling land,sea and air.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza has confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed four Palestinians, including one child, and injured 618 others, including five journalists, 26 children and 14 women, and added that 117 of the wounded were shot with live fire, among them eight who suffer very serious injuries.

The army also killed a Palestinian child, identified as Haitham Mohammad Khalil al-Jamal, 15, from Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

It added that the soldiers also killed Emad Nabil Abu Drabi, 26, near the Great Return Camp, east of Jabalia, in northern Gaza.

In addition, the soldiers killed Yousef al-Faseeh, 29, with live fire, east of Gaza City.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip, said the soldiers shot at least 92 Palestinians with live fire, and 19 others were injured by shrapnel from the bullets.

He added that the army also shot five journalists, including Mohammad al-Baba, who works for Agence France Presse,. He was injured with a live round in his thigh.

Dr. al-Qedra also stated that among the wounded Palestinians are 26 children and 14 women. The rest of the injured Palestinians suffered cuts and bruises, in addition to the severe effects of teargas inhalation. Most of these were treated at field hospitals that were set up in the five main protest encampments at the border

One of the wounded Palestinians was directly shot with a high-velocity gas bomb which lodged in his upper jaw and settled in his mouth, moderately wounding him and causing him to suffer the severe effects of teargas inhalation and nearly suffocate.

It is worth mentioning that thousands of Palestinians participated in the Great Return March protests, Friday June 8^th, in several areas in the coastal region.

In a statement, Dr. al-Qedra said the soldiers killed 127 Palestinians, and injured 14700 others, including women, children, medics and journalists, in the Gaza Strip, since the beginning of the Great Return March on Palestinian Land, on March 30th, 2018.

The protests began on Land Day, on March 30th, and have continued each Friday through Nakba Day on May 15th, the 70th anniversary of the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

June 8, 2018: Haitham Mohammad Khalil al-Jamal, 15, was killed by Israeli army fire in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, while participating in a non-violent protest against the imprisonment of Gaza by the Israeli military, which has surrounded the coastal strip since 2005, controlling land,sea and air.

Ezzeddin Abdul-Hafith Tamimi

June 6, 2018: Ezzeddin Abdul-Hafith Tamimi, 21, was shot by Israeli soldiers in Nabi Saleh village with three live rounds from very close range in an extrajudicial assassination. The soldiers then prevented Palestinian medics from approaching Ezzeddin as he lay, critically injured, on the ground.

According to eyewitnesses, Palestinian medics tried to provide aid to the seriously wounded man, but the soldiers assaulted them, and threatened to shoot them. Ezzeddin then succumbed to his injuries.

When Ezzeddin’s mother was informed that he was killed, she rushed to see him, but the soldiers sprayed her face with pepper-spray and forced her away.

Ezzeddin worked as a car mechanic, but was listed as ‘wanted’ by the Israeli military eighteen months ago. The soldiers have made numerous attempts over the past eighteen months to intercept the young man, including invading his home and shooting him.

The Israeli army also abducted his brother to pressure him into turning himself in to the army.

A few weeks before assassinating Ezzeddin, the army called one of his brothers, and told him that “Ezzeddin will face the same fate of Ahmad Nasr Jarrar, (who was killed by the soldiers on February 06, 2018), if he does not surrender.”

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers assassinated the Palestinian, directly and repeatedly firing at him, in addition to attacking dozens of other Palestinians in the town.

The soldiers also shot another Palestinian with a live round and caused many others to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation, during protests that took place after the soldiers killed Ezzeddin.

After the soldiers killed Ezzeddin, they invaded many homes, including his home, and occupied their rooftops.

June 2, 2018: Rami Wahid Hasan Sabarna, 36, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers in Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, while he and other workers were conducting work for the Hebron City Council to rehabilitate and expand a road near the Ibrahimi Mosque.

The Health Ministry in Hebron said the soldiers fatally shot Rami in Jaber neighborhood in the Old City, near the military roadblock leading to the Ibrahimi Mosque.

The Ministry added that the soldiers also stopped a Palestinian ambulance at the scene, and prevented the medics from approaching the Palestinian, before he bled to death.

An Israeli ambulance later arrived, and its medics placed Rami’s body in a black bag and took it away.

The army claimed that the Palestinian worker “attempted to ram the soldiers with his vehicle, before they shot him,” an allegation which was denied by eyewitnesses, who said the young man was just working, and did not attempt to attack the soldiers, or harm them in any way.

Aref Jaber, a local nonviolent activist against the Annexation Wall and Colonies, who lives near the area where the army killed the worker, said Sabarna was driving a small and loud bulldozer, and added that the worker passed by some soldiers who then started shouting at him an ordering him to stop.

“He did not pose any threat to them, he passed by them and could not hear their shouts and orders,” Aref said, “Then, they just opened fire at him and his bulldozer, seriously wounded him, before removing him from his vehicle and leaving him to bleed on the ground. When Red Crescent medics arrived, the soldiers prevented them from providing Sabarna with the urgently needed treatment, and he bled to death, before the soldiers placed his corpse in a black plastic bag and took him away.”

The soldiers also removed media outlets from the area, and prevented the journalists from performing their duties.

Rami’s death follows the killing of a young Palestinian woman the day before, a volunteer medic identified as Razan Ashraf Najjar, 22. On the same day, Israeli forces injured 100 Palestinians, including 40 with live fire, in the Gaza Strip.

June 1, 2018: Razan Ashraf Najjar, 22, was a female volunteer medic who was shot and killed by Israeli forces while helping treat wounded protesters at a ‘Great Return March’ protest on Friday June 1st, 2018. On the same day, Israeli forces injured 100 Palestinians, including 40 who were shot with live fire.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the soldiers resorted to the excessive use of force against Palestinian protesters, participating in the Great Return March, and marching for breaking the ongoing deadly Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, stated that the Razan was killed by live Israeli army fire after the soldiers targeted five medics providing treatment to wounded Palestinians in the “Return Camp,” east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

He added that the soldiers also injured more than 100 Palestinians, including 40 with live fire, while the rest suffered various cuts and bruises, in addition to the effects of teargas inhalation.

Razan, who was wearing a clearly-marked medic vest, was at least 100 meters away from the eastern border fence when she was shot while providing aid to wounded Palestinians and attempting to evacuate them to the field clinic.

Prior to her injury, Razan, managed to render aid to many wounded Palestinians, including an elderly man who suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

Razan was killed when an Israeli sniper shot her in the back, and the bullet went through her heart.

Dr. Rasha Abdul-Rahman Qdeih said she was with Razan when they were trying to help wounded Palestinians, but five army jeeps came close to the fence, before two soldiers left one of the vehicles and pointed their sniper scopes at them.

“I shouted at my colleagues to take cover and remain alert,” she said, “The soldiers fired several rounds, and some minutes later, we managed to evacuate the wounded, before the soldiers started firing gas bombs.”

“But then, the soldiers fired several exploding rounds at us; one of them struck Razan and killed her, and another bullet struck a medic, identified as Rami Abu Jazar, in his thigh, in addition to shrapnel in his left thigh, arm and leg, while another medic, Mahmoud Abdul-‘Aati, was injured by shrapnel,” Dr. Rasha added.

It is worth mentioning that Razan is the second medic to be killed by Israeli army fire since March 30^th, after the soldiers killed Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein, 36, who was shot on May 14^th, while wearing a clearly marked medic vest.

The soldiers also injured 223 medics, including 29 who were shot with live fire or after being directly targeted with high-velocity gas bombs.

Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi, the head of the Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS), said Razan was a volunteer with the PMRS, and was killed after the soldiers fired live rounds at a filed clinic, hundreds of meters away from the border fence.

Dr. Barghouthi said the killing of the volunteer medic is another crime committed by Israel against innocent civilians, including medics and journalists, and added that the medical teams will continue their humanitarian duties despite the Israeli violations, and constant escalation.

Razan’s death brings the number of Palestinians, killed by Israeli army fire since the beginning of the “Great Return March, on March 30th, to 119, while more than 13400 have been injured, including 330 who suffered life-threatening wounds.

May 28, 2018: Nasser ِAref Abdul-Rauf al-‘Ereini, 28, died from serious wounds he suffered on May 14th, 2018, when Israeli soldiers shot him during the Great Return March, in northern Gaza.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry, said that Yasser suffered, on May 14th, very serious wounds by Israeli army fire, on Palestinian lands, east of Jabalia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

He was rushed to the Indonesian hospital, in Beit Lahia, also in northern Gaza, where he succumbed to his serious wounds on May 28th.

On Saturday at dawn, May 26, a Palestinian man, identified as Hussein Salem Abu ‘Oweida, 41, died from serious wounds he suffered after Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire, several days earlier.

On Friday, May 25, another young man, identified as Yasser Sami Habib, 24, succumbed to wounds sustained from Israeli army gunfire during the protests on May 14.

Habib suffered a very serious injury before he was rushed to a hospital in Gaza, and was later transferred to Sr. Joseph Hospital, in occupied Jerusalem, where he succumbed to his wounds.

Two other Palestinians, identified as Ahmad Ali Qattoush, 23 Mohannad Bakr Abu Tahoun, 21, who were injured, during the protests on May 14, also succumbed to their wounds on Thursday evening.

The death of Yasser brings the death toll of Palestinians killed during protests against the Israeli occupation since March 30th to 117.
