August 03, 2014: Shaima’ Wa’el Qasim, 14, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired a heavy missile at the two-story house of her uncle, Mohammed Abu Nijm-Al Masri, 55, near a local mosque in Block 8 in the densely populated Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza, killing ten family members, including three children and two women, and wounding 22 Palestinians, including 10 children. The missile damaged ten other nearby houses. The large number of casualties was mainly because the strike took place without a prior notice, and the family of Abdul-Karim al-Masri was hosting many relatives who fled their home due to Israeli bombardment and shelling. Shaima’ was from Jabalia. Source: Mezan Center For Human Rights
