July 30, 2014: Meriam Na’im Balata, 24, was killed by Israeli shells and missiles that targeted various areas in northern Gaza, including Beit Hanoun and Jabalia, leading to her death along with her parents, brothers and sisters. 41 Palestinians, including 17 children, were injured, in the bombardment that destroyed twenty homes and a mosque.
