Amal Amjad Uweida

August 04, 2014: Amal Amjad Uweida, 5, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fried one missile from a drone targeting the house of her grandfather Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Hadi Uweida, in the al-Brazil neighborhood in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, also leading to the death of her brother Mohammed, 13. The family first left their home due to the intensity of Israeli bombardment, and relocated to Tal al-Sultan neighborhood, but approximately 15 minutes after they returned home, the property was struck by the Israeli missile, while they were on the rooftop. Mohammed Amjad Uweida

Mahmoud Ashraf al-Khalili

August 04, 2014: Mahmoud Ashraf al-Khalili, 7, died from serious wounds he suffered on July 30, 2014, when Israeli soldiers fired two tank shells at the house of Mohammed Ata al-Khalili, in the al-Sanafour area, in the at-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza city.

His father, Ashraf, 33, his mother, Nedaa, 27, and his brother, Ziyad, 2, were killed instantly by the Israeli shells.

His uncle, Ahmad Mahmoud al-Khalili, 28, along with his wife, Aya Mohammed al-Khalili, 23, and their daughter, Lama Ahmed al-Khalili, 4, were also killed in the same attack.

The family was waiting to be evacuated from the area due to the heavy Israeli shelling and bombardment of various neighborhoods in Gaza.

At least 110 Palestinians, including many children and women, were killed by Israeli missiles and shells that day alone, in different parts of the Gaza Strip.

Asma’ Mohammed al-Bakri

August 04, 2014: Asma’ Mohammed al-Bakri, 3 months, was killed by Israeli missiles fired at the three-story house of Ahmed Kamal al-Bakri, which housed four other families, with a total of 30 Palestinians, including 17 children, in the al-Shati’ refugee camp, in western Gaza. Her mother, Ibtisam, 37, her sister, Asil, 7, and her brother, Kamal, 3, were also killed in the strike along with her uncle, Ramadan Ahmed al-Bakri, 33, and Ibrahim Mohammad al-Mashharawi, 33, who was visiting them, while 35 Palestinians, including 14 children and 8 women, were injured, and two nearby homes, belonging to Ayyad and Abu Touha families, were also damaged in the strike that was carried out during a unilateral truce announced by Israel. August 03, 2014: Shaima’ Wa’el Qasim, 14, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired a heavy missile at the two-story house of her uncle, Mohammed Abu Nijm-Al Masri, 55, near a local mosque in Block 8 in the densely populated Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza, killing ten family members, including three children and two women, and wounding 22 Palestinians, including 10 children. The missile damaged ten other nearby houses. The large number of casualties was mainly because the strike took place without a prior notice, and the family of Abdul-Karim al-Masri was hosting many relatives who fled their home due to Israeli bombardment and shelling.
