August 5, 2018: Ahmad Jihad al-Aydi, 17, died from serious wounds he suffered on the first day of the Great Return March procession, on March 30th, a day marking the Palestinian Land Day.

The Health Ministry said Ahmad, from Gaza city, was seriously injured when an Israeli army sharpshooter shot him with a live round in the head, near the eastern border in central Gaza.

Accompanied by his father, the teen was eventually transferred to a Palestinian hospital in Ramallah, on April 24th, but he remained in critical condition until he succumbed to his wounds.

In related news, the soldiers shot, on Sunday evening, three Palestinians with live fire, and caused many others to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation, east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza.

Also on Sunday, an Israeli army drone fired a missile at a site, north of Beit Lahia in the northern part of the coastal region, wounding four Palestinians.

On Saturday, August 4th, the Health Ministry in Gaza said a child, identified as Moath Ziad Soori, 15, died from serious wounds he suffered a day earlier, after Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire, during the Great Return March procession, east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza.

On the same day of his injury, the soldiers killed a Palestinian, identified as Ahmad Yahia Atallah Yaghi, 25, after shooting him east of the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza city, and injured 220 Palestinians, including 90 who were shot with live fire, in the Gaza Strip.

Their deaths bring the number of Palestinians, who were killed by Israeli army fire in the Gaza Strip since March 30th, 2018, to 158, while 17259 have been injured; 9071 of the wounded were moved to hospitals and 8188 received treatment in field clinics; 3279 of the injured are children, and 1553 are women.

Twenty-three of the slain Palestinians are children, in addition to three women, including a medic, identified as Razan Ashraf Najjar, 22.

There are 404 wounded Palestinians who are still in critical conditions, while 4141 suffered moderate wounds and 4354 suffered mild injuries.

The soldiers also killed another medic, identified as Mousa Abu Hassanein, 36, and caused damage to 59 Palestinian ambulances.

Furthermore, the army killed two journalists, identified as Yasser Mortaja, 30, and Ahmad Abu Hussein, 25, and wounded 144 others.

August 4, 2018: Moath Ziad Soori, 15, died from serious wounds he suffered a day earlier, when Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire.

The Health Ministry said the child, identified as Moath Ziad Soori, 15, died from serious wounds he suffered during the Great Return March procession, east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza.

The child, who was shot with a live round in the abdomen, was rushed to a hospital, but remained in critical condition until he succumbed to his serious injuries, Saturday. Moath was from Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza.

On the same day of his injury, the soldiers killed a Palestinian, identified as Ahmad Yahia Atallah Yaghi, 25, after shooting him east of the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza city, and injured 220 Palestinians, including 90 who were shot with live fire, in the Gaza Strip.

August 3, 2018: Ahmad Yahia Atallah Yaghi, 25, was shot and killed by an Israeli army sharpshooter while participating in a non-violent protest rally on Palestinian lands east of the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza city.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that Israel soldiers engaged in the excessive use of force against the nonviolent “Great Return March” in Gaza, on its nineteenth consecutive week, killing a young man, and wounding 220 Palestinians, including 90 who were shot with live fire.

It is worth mentioning that, in a previous protest, the soldiers shot Yaghi with live fire, wounding him in his leg.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra of the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that the soldiers injured 220 Palestinians, including 90 who were shot with live fire, in the Gaza Strip.

He added that the soldiers, stationed in their fortified sniper posts hundreds of meters away from the perimeter fence, also shot six other Palestinians with live fire, in the same area, and caused many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

The soldiers also shot four Palestinians with live fire, east of Khuza’a town, east of the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis. All four were rushed to the European Hospital, while many others suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

Another Palestinian suffered a moderate injury after the soldiers shot him with live fire in his leg, and caused many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation, in Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza.

Furthermore, one Palestinian was shot with a live round in his pelvis, east of Rafah, in southern Gaza, before he was moved to Abu Yousef Najjar hospital, suffering a moderate injury.

The army attacked the Palestinian protesters in several parts of the coastal region, especially east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza, in addition to Rafah, Khan Younis, Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun areas, in the southern and northern parts of the Gaza Strip.

Dozens of protesters launched balloons carrying the colors of the Palestinian flag, in addition to flying burning kites, causing fire in lands in Israeli settlements hundreds of meters away from the fence.

On Friday evening, the soldiers fired a shell at a site east of Rafah, causing fire and property damage.

Mohannad Majed Hammouda

July 28, 2018: Mohannad Majed Jamal Hammouda, 24, was killed along with another Palestinian by an Israeli missile fired from aircraft, east of Jabalia, in northern Gaza.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed, on Sunday at dawn, two young Palestinian men, in northern Gaza.

The two slain Palestinians were identified as ِِAyman Nafeth Rabea’ Najjar, 24, and Mohannad Majed Jamal Hammouda, 24, from Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza.

Media sources in Gaza said the two Palestinians were killed near the Eastern Graveyard, in Jabalia, and added that their severely mutilated corpses were moved to the Indonesian Hospital, in northern Gaza.

Israeli Ynet News said the two were reportedly near the perimeter fence, when “Israeli jets struck targets” in the area.

The Israeli media source added that the army only issued a brief statement in which it just said, “it does not address foreign reports.”

It is worth mentioning that Israeli army drones were heard and seen flying at a low altitude over several parts of the coastal region, especially in northern Gaza, throughout the entire day and night.

On Saturday morning, the Health Ministry said a teenage boy, identified as Mo’men Fathi al-Hams, 17, died from serious wounds he suffered by Israeli army fire on Friday.

On the same day the teenage boy was critically injured, the soldiers killed two Palestinians, including one child, and wounded 246 others, among them eleven who suffered serious wounds, 10 women, 4 medics, one journalist and 19 children.

July 28, 2018: Ayman Nafeth Rabea’ Najjar, 24, was killed along with another Palestinian by an Israeli missile fired from aircraft, east of Jabalia, in northern Gaza.

Momen HamsJuly 28, 2018: Mo’men Fathi al-Hams, 17, died on Saturday morning, from serious wounds he suffered when he was shot by Israeli army fire the day before.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said that Mo’men suffered very serious wounds a day earlier, during the Great Return March processions in the coastal region.

The teen, from Rafah, in the southern part of the coastal region, was shot with a live Israeli army round in the upper chest, east of Rafah, and remained in critical condition until he succumbed to his wounds.

On the same day of his critical injury, the soldiers killed two Palestinians, including one child, and wounded 246 others, among them eleven who suffered serious wounds, 10 women, 4 medics, one journalist and 19 children.

The Health Ministry said an Israeli army sharpshooter shot Majdi Ramzi Kamal Satri, 12, with a live round in the head, east of Rafah city, and added that the second Palestinian, Ghazi Mohammad Abu Mustafa, 45, was also shot with a live round in the head, east of Khan Younis, also in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Their deaths brought the number of Palestinians, killed by Israeli army fire since March 30th, 2018, the Palestinian Land Day, to 155, including 19 children, two medics and two journalists.

The Israeli soldiers also injured 355 medics, and caused damage to 58 ambulances, during the same time-frame.

The Health Ministry demanded that the international community hold Israel accountable for its serious violations against medical teams, and the civilian population, and to take action to provide Palestinian medics and civilians with urgently-needed protection.

July 27, 2018: Majdi Ramzi Kamal Satri, 12, was shot and killed by an Israeli military sharpshooter with a live round in the head, east of Rafah city, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, during the Great Return March procession. The slain child is from the Shaboura refugee camp, in Rafah.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed, Friday, two Palestinians, including one child, and injured 246 others, among them eleven who suffered serious wounds, 10 women, 4 medics, one journalist and 19 children.

In addition to Majdi, Ghazi Mohammad Abu Mustafa, 45, was also shot and killed with a live round in the head by an Israeli sniper while participating in the ‘Great March of Return’ protest at the Gaza-Israel border, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Ghazi was the husband of Lamia Abu Mustafa, a nurse who never left the medical tents hundreds of meters away from the parameter fence, providing medical aid to wounded Palestinians.

He was injured a month ago by Israeli army fire, while helping wounding Palestinians, and received treatment by his wife and other medics, and today was fatally wounded by the army.

July 27, 2018: Ghazi Mohammad Abu Mustafa, 45, was shot and killed with a live round in the head by an Israeli sniper while participating in the ‘Great March of Return’ protest at the Gaza-Israel border, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Mohammad Tareq dar Yousef

July 26, 2018: Mohammad Tareq dar Yousef, 17, was shot and killed by an armed paramilitary Israeli settler after he allegedly stabbed three Israeli paramilitary settlers, killing one.

Mohammad allegedly managed to climb over the fence into the illegal Israeli settlement of Geva Binyamin, which had been built on stolen Palestinian land which was taken from his village, Kobar, near Ramallah. He then stabbed three people before he was shot and killed.

A 31-year old Israeli colonial settler was killed, identified as Yotam Ovadia. Another unnamed Israeli settler, age 50, was put in critical condition with stab wounds to the upper body, according to Israeli media sources.

Before going to the settlement to carry out the attack, the young Palestinian wrote on his Facebook page, “After all of the injustice the Palestinians continue to face: the killing, the diaspora, the theft of land by force, this injustice still prevails, and many Palestinians are silent – including those who have weapons, and are watching the massacres. Those are the traitors.”

He goes on to say, “You [Palestinians] who own a weapon, remember this is for your enemy, not for use against your own people. Remember the children of Gaza, suffering and dying.” The statement ends, “A salute to the people who defend their land and their honor. And to those who sold their land and betrayed their country, those cowards, you must be ashamed of yourselves. The people of Gaza and Jerusalem are resisting, and you are trying to silence them.”

Dozens of soldiers in armored vehicles surrounded and invaded Kobar, near Ramallah, in the hours following this incident. Protests broke out in the village, and some teens threw stones at the invading soldiers.

The troops invaded Mohammad’s home, surrounding it and demanding that the family leave. It is unknown at the time of this report if the soldiers are planning to carry out a punitive demolition of the alleged assailant’s home, but this is a known and common practice by the Israeli military.

Over the past hundred days, Palestinians have been engaging in largely non-violent protests on a weekly basis in Gaza as part of the ‘Great March of Return’, calling for a return of the Palestinian refugees to their homes in what is now Israel, and an end to the siege on Gaza that has strangled the economy of the tiny coastal strip since 2007.

Israeli forces have killed nearly 150 Palestinian demonstrators during this time, and wounded more than 17,000, many with live ammunition. One Israeli was killed in this time period, in May, by a stone slab that fell on him from a building in a Palestinian town he was invading in the West Bank. The Palestinian resistance in Gaza has held its fire in solidarity with the non-violent demonstrators, but this past Friday a firefight broke out and an Israeli soldier and four Palestinian fighters were killed.

Ahmad AlBasousJuly 25, 2018: Ahmad Monir al-Basous, 28, was killed along with two other Palestinians when the Israeli military fired artillery shells into several areas in central Gaza Strip, and east of Gaza city.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip, said the three slain Palestinians have been identified as Ahmad Monir al-Basous, 28, ‘Abada As’ad Ferwana, 29, and Mohammad Tawfiq al-‘Ar’ir, 27.  The three men, from the Sheja’eyya neighborhood in Gaza, were killed by Israeli artillery shells east of the city.

Dr. al-Qedra added that a fourth Palestinian was also wounded during the same Israeli assault. He suffered moderate wounds in an Israeli bombardment of a site in northern Gaza, and was rushed to the Indonesian Hospital.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said in an official statement that the three fighters are members of the group, and vowed retaliation.

Israeli soldiers also fired two artillery shells into another area, near Juhr ad-Deek, north of the al-Boreij refuge camp, in central Gaza, and two shells into an observation post east of the refugee camp.

The army also fired several shells at an observation post east of Gaza city, causing excessive damage, in addition to an area east of the al-Maghazi refugee camp, also in central Gaza.

On Wednesday night, as Israeli artillery shells and drones began pounding eastern Gaza, Palestinian resistance groups reportedly fired back, wounding two Israeli soldiers.

Some Israeli media sources claimed that the Palestinian resistance fired first, but live streams posted by Palestinians on Twitter and Facebook show that the drone strikes preceded the reports of Palestinians shooting toward the Israeli military base in eastern Gaza.

Israeli daily Haaretz has reported that the army believes some armed groups, not affiliated with Hamas, are responsible for sniper fire against the soldiers near the border fence.

It added that the soldiers exchanged fire with Hamas fighters, on Wednesday evening, when the soldiers reportedly tried to remove Palestinian youngsters from the fence area, and said that the soldiers were then targeted with sniper fire.

On July 22, a young Palestinian man, identified as Karam Ibrahim Arafat, 26, died from serious wounds he suffered on June 8th, when Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.On Tuesday, the Health Ministry has confirmed, Tuesday, that Majd Soheil Mohammad ‘Oqeil, 26, died from serious wounds her suffered, on May 14th, after Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire in northern Gaza.

On the same day, during pre-dawn hours, the soldiers invaded Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, and killed a child, identified as Akram Tha’er Mizhir, 15.

Over the past hundred days, Israeli forces have killed 147 Palestinians, and wounded more than 17,000 participating in non-violent protests at or near the parameter fence in Gaza. No Israelis were killed in Gaza until this past Friday, when Israeli bombs killed two Palestinian children, and Palestinian fighters fired at an Israeli military base with gunfire, killing one soldier.

Four Palestinian fighters were killed in that exchange of fire. Later that night, Israeli forces dropped more than two dozen bombs on the Gaza Strip, then negotiated a ceasefire through Egyptian mediators.
