Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein

May 14, 2018: Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein, 36, was one of 52 Palestinians killed during a protest against the U.S. moving its Embassy to Jerusalem on Monday May 14th, 2018. The protest also focused on commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Nakba (Catastrophe), when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were displaced from their homes for the creation of the state of Israel – creating the largest refugee population on earth, many of whom remain in exile generations later.

Mousa was a medic with the Civil Defense Department of the Palestinian Authority in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed, Monday, 52 Palestinians, including children and four officers of the Ministry of Interior and National Security, in the Gaza Strip, and injured more than 2410.

The Ministry of Interior and National Security said among the slain Palestinians are four of its officers, identified as:

Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein, 36 – Medic, Civil Defense Department.

Mo’taz Bassam an-Nuno, 30 – Internal Security Department.

Mos’ab Yousef Abu Leila, 30 – Military Intelligence Department.

Jihad Mohammad Mousa, 30 – Internal Security Department.

It said the slain officers were performing their duties and national services when the soldiers shot them dead.

Among the slain Palestinians are five children, including one girl, and among the wounded are 122 children, and 44 women.

27 of the wounded Palestinians suffered very serious wounds, 59 serious injuries, 735 moderate wounds, and 882 suffered light wounds.

772 of the wounded Palestinians were shot with live rounds, three with rubber-coated steel bullets, 91 with shrapnel, 100 cuts and bruises and 737 suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

65 of the wounded were shot in the head and neck, 116 in their arms, 48 in the chest and back, 651 in the lower extremities, 52 in several parts of their bodies and 737 suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

The soldiers also caused damage to at least one ambulance and injured one medic and eleven journalists.

In addition, the Health Ministry called on Egypt to urgently send emergency medical supplies and specialists, mainly surgeons, intensive care physicians, anesthesia specialists, and to allow the transfer of a large number of the wounded to Egyptian hospitals, especially those indeed of urgent surgeries, since Gaza hospitals lack the needed supplies due to the siege on the coastal region.

Osama Khalil Abu Khater

June 24, 2018: Osama Khalil Abu Khater, 29, died at dawn from serious wounds he suffered last Friday when Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire during a demonstration at the Gaza border fence.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza said the young man, identified as Osama was shot with a live Israeli army bullet in the abdomen, during Friday’s Great Return March procession.

He added that Abu Khater, who was shot east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip, suffered a serious injury, and was rushed to the Gaza European Hospital, in southern Gaza, but succumbed to his wounds.

On Tuesday June 19, a cancer patient identified as Masoud Abdul Hai Abu Saqer, aged 49, died at Erez/Beit Hanoun crossing between Gaza and Israel, while awaiting to be interviewed by Israeli security officers, to discuss his permit application to receive treatment at an East Jerusalem hospital.

On Wednesday June 20, a young Palestinian man, identified as Mohammad Ghassan Abu Doqqa, 22, died from serious wounds he suffered when Israeli soldiers shot him on May 14th, 2018, east of Khuza’a town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Dr. al-Qedra said Abu Khater’s death brings the number of Palestinians, killed by Israeli army fire since the Great Return March processions started on Palestinian Land Day, on March 30th, to 131, including 13 children, and two journalists, identified as Yasser Mortaja, 31, and Ahmad Abu Hussein, 25, and wounded 144 others.

The soldiers also killed two medics, identified as Razan Najjar, 22, and Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein, 36, injured 223 others, and caused damage to 37 ambulances.

Mohammad Ghassan Abu Doqqa

June 20, 2018: Mohammad Ghassan Abu Doqqa, 22, died of wounds sustained when he was shot and serious injured by Israeli army fire on May 14th, 2018 during the Great Return March protest.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, said that Mohammad suffered a very serious wound after Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire, east of Khuza’a town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

He said Mohammad was rushed to a hospital in Khan Younis but was later moved to a hospital in occupied Jerusalem, due to the seriousness of his condition.

On June 18, 2018, a child identified as Zakariya Hussein Bashbash, 13, died of serious wounds sustained several days earlier when he was shot by Israeli soldiers at a protest in Gaza.

On the same day that Zakariya died of his wounds, Israeli soldiers killed Sabri Ahmad Abu Khader, 24, after shooting him with live fire near the Great Return Camp, east of Gaza city.

His death brings the number of Palestinians who were killed by Israeli army fire since March 30th, 2018 to 129, including two journalists and thirteen children.

The army also injured 13672 others, including hundreds of suffered serious wounds, mainly after being shot with expanding bullets.

In addition, the soldiers killed two medics, identified as Razan Najjar, 22, and Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein, 36, injured 223 others, and caused damage to 37 ambulances.

The army also killed two journalists, identified as Yasser Mortaja, 31, and Ahmad Abu Hussein, 25, and wounded 144 others.

Sabri Ahmad Abu Khader

June 18, 2018: Sabri Ahmad Abu Khader, 24, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers near the Great Return Camp, east of Gaza city.

Medical sources in Gaza said the Palestinian was rushed to the Shifa Medical Center, in Gaza city, where he was admitted to surgery with critical gunshot wounds.

Doctors tried to save Sabri, but his wounds were too severe, and he died after several hours.

Sabri was a newlywed young man, who got married just five months ago. He was shot near Karni Crossing, east of Gaza city, where protesters had gathered as part of the ongoing protest at the Gaza-Israel border that began March 30th.

Israeli sources said some protesters continued to launch burning kites across the border fence, causing a new fire near Kissufim military base, in southern Gaza.

In related news, the Israeli army claimed that its soldiers observed two Palestinians who, they claimed, tried to breach the border fence. The army claimed that the two had carried explosives, which allegedly detonated while they were running back to Gaza, wounding them.

His death brings the number of Palestinians, who were killed by Israeli army fire since March 30th, to 127, including two journalists and thirteen children.

The army also injured 13672 others, including hundreds of suffered serious wounds, mainly after being shot with expanding bullets.

May 14, 2018: Mohammad Mahmoud ‘Abdul’al, 39, was one of 60 Palestinians killed during a protest against the U.S. moving its Embassy to Jerusalem on Monday May 14th, 2018. The protest also focused on commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Nakba (Catastrophe), when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were displaced from their homes for the creation of the state of Israel – creating the largest refugee population on earth, many of whom remain in exile generations later.

Mohammad was hit with a live bullet to the chest.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed, Monday, 60 Palestinians, including 6 children and four officers of the Ministry of Interior and National Security, in the Gaza Strip, and injured more than 2700.

The Ministry of Interior and National Security said among the slain Palestinians are four of its officers, identified as:

May 14, 2018: Mos’ab Yousef Abu Laileya , 28, was one of 60 Palestinians killed during a protest against the U.S. moving its Embassy to Jerusalem on Monday May 14th, 2018. The protest also focused on commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Nakba (Catastrophe), when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were displaced from their homes for the creation of the state of Israel – creating the largest refugee population on earth, many of whom remain in exile generations later.

Mos’ab worked for the Military Intelligence Department of the Palestinian Authority in the Gaza Strip, and was killed while working at the protest east of Jabalia, in the central eastern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed, Monday, 60 Palestinians, including 6 children and four officers of the Ministry of Interior and National Security, in the Gaza Strip, and injured more than 2700.

Ahmad Jihad al-Aydi

August 5, 2018: Ahmad Jihad al-Aydi, 17, died from serious wounds he suffered on the first day of the Great Return March procession, on March 30th, a day marking the Palestinian Land Day.

The Health Ministry said Ahmad, from Gaza city, was seriously injured when an Israeli army sharpshooter shot him with a live round in the head, near the eastern border in central Gaza.

Accompanied by his father, the teen was eventually transferred to a Palestinian hospital in Ramallah, on April 24th, but he remained in critical condition until he succumbed to his wounds.

In related news, the soldiers shot, on Sunday evening, three Palestinians with live fire, and caused many others to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation, east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza.

Also on Sunday, an Israeli army drone fired a missile at a site, north of Beit Lahia in the northern part of the coastal region, wounding four Palestinians.

On Saturday, August 4th, the Health Ministry in Gaza said a child, identified as Moath Ziad Soori, 15, died from serious wounds he suffered a day earlier, after Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire, during the Great Return March procession, east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza.

On the same day of his injury, the soldiers killed a Palestinian, identified as Ahmad Yahia Atallah Yaghi, 25, after shooting him east of the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza city, and injured 220 Palestinians, including 90 who were shot with live fire, in the Gaza Strip.

Their deaths bring the number of Palestinians, who were killed by Israeli army fire in the Gaza Strip since March 30th, 2018, to 158, while 17259 have been injured; 9071 of the wounded were moved to hospitals and 8188 received treatment in field clinics; 3279 of the injured are children, and 1553 are women.

Twenty-three of the slain Palestinians are children, in addition to three women, including a medic, identified as Razan Ashraf Najjar, 22.

There are 404 wounded Palestinians who are still in critical conditions, while 4141 suffered moderate wounds and 4354 suffered mild injuries.

The soldiers also killed another medic, identified as Mousa Abu Hassanein, 36, and caused damage to 59 Palestinian ambulances.

Furthermore, the army killed two journalists, identified as Yasser Mortaja, 30, and Ahmad Abu Hussein, 25, and wounded 144 others.
