Ahmed Abu Amer

July 29, 2014: Ahmed Suleiman Abu Amer, 40, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired missiles at a residential building in the al-Mahatta area, in Khan Younis city, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, also killing his wife, Mona, 35, along with their children Mohammed, 11, Marah, 10, Yasser, 8, Marwa, 5, and Suleiman, 3.

The Israeli missiles also killed Ahmed’s sister, ‘Orouba, 41, her husband, Waddah, 39, and their children, Omar, 12, Abdel-Ghani, 10, Imad, 9, Issa, 7, and Ez Ad-Din, 5, in addition to Waddah’s brothers, Mohammed Hasan Abu Amer, 19, and Ahmed Hasan Amer, 35.

The residential building was about 400 square meters, owned by Karam Mohammed Al-Dali, where Abu Amer family lived in a rented apartment, along with the families of al-Najjar, Breeka, and Mu’ammar.

The Israeli bombardment leveled the building, and caused severe damage to nearby buildings, leading to the death of 35 Palestinians, and wounding 27 others. Ezat Salama Dheir

July 29, 2014: Ezat Salama Mahmoud Dheir, 23, was killed by Israeli missiles fired from aircraft at the family’s three-story house, in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Five families comprised of 26 Palestinians were living in the bombardment house which was completely destroyed, causing the death of 19 Palestinians from Dheir family, including eight children.

Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights has reported that most of the residents were outside the home at the time of the attack, but the brothers and most of their families had come back the day before to be reunited with his mother, Turkiya, for Eid al-Fitr, the feast at the end of Ramadan.

The slain family members have been identified by al-Mezan Center for Human Rights as:

  1. Turkiya Khalil Hamed Dheir, 66.
  2. Ezat Salama Mahmoud Dheir, 23, Turkiya’s son. (Journalist)
  3. Omar Salama Mahmoud Dheir, 38, Turkiya’s son.

Omar Salama Dheir

Hamad Yousif Al-Najjar

July 29, 2014: Hamad Yousif Hasan Al-Najjar, 23, was killed by Israeli missiles fired at the house of Ibrahim Hasan Al-Najjar, in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Hamad’s cousin, Mohammad Zaki Al-Najjar, 23, was also killed along with his grandmother, Fawziya Qasem Al-Najjar, 81, in addition to Mona Ismail Al-Najjar, 43, Aya Ibrahim Abu Sitta, 23, Jehad Ibrahim Al-Najjar, 25, and his wife Maysa Abdel-Samee’ Al-Najjar, 18, and their infant daughter, Mona, 27 days.

The attack against the Al-Najjar family home came at dawn, without a warning from the Israeli army, and damaged several nearby homes, leading to dozens of injuries.

July 29, 2014: Mohammed Zaki Hasan Al-Najjar, 30, was killed by Israeli missiles fired at the house of Ibrahim Hasan Al-Najjar, in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli strike led to the death of eight Palestinians, including children and an infant, and injured at least six others.

Mohammed was killed along with Hamad Yousif Al-Najjar, 23, in addition to Fawziya Qasem Al-Najjar, 81, her daughter-in-law, Mona Ismail Al-Najjar, 43, Mona’s daughter Aya, 23, her son, Jehad Ibrahim Al-Najjar, 25, Jehad’s wife, Maysa Abdel-Samee’ Al-Najjar, 18, and their infant daughter, Mona, 27 days.

The Israeli bombardment also led to the death of his wife Maysa Abdel Samee’ Al-Najjar, 18, and their infant daughter, Mona, 27 days of age, in addition to Jehad’s mother Fawziya Qasem Al-Najjar, 81, Fawziya’s daughter-in-law, Mona, 43, and Mona’s daughter Aya Ibrahim Al-Najjar, 23.

July 29, 2014: Maysa Abdel-Samee’ Al-Najjar, 18, was killed by Israeli missiles fired at the home of Ibrahim Hassan Al-Najjar, in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Her husband, Jehad Ibrahim Al-Najjar, 25, and their daughter, Mona, 27 days, were also killed in the bombardment.
