July 20, 2014: Batoul Bassam Abu Jame’, 3, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired missiles into the three-story house of Tawfiq Ahmad Abu Jame’, where five families lived, in Bani Suheila town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
Her pregnant mother, Yasmin, 25, and her sisters, Suheila, 2, and Bisan, 1, and her grandmother, Fatma Mahmoud Abu Jame’, 64, were among 25 family members, and a visiting acquaintance, who were killed in the attack. The intensity of the Israeli bombardment and shelling prevented medics and rescue teams from conducting an efficient search until the next day.
Among the killed were 19 children, including two infant girls; one was four months, and the other was just one day old, while the rest were between the ages of 1 and 14. Batoul was from Bani Suheila, in Khan Younis. Source: Mezan Center for Human Rights
