Ahmad Younis al-Atrash

April 01, 2022: Ahmad Younis al-Atrash, 29, was killed by Israeli soldiers during a procession in Hebron city in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said al-Atrash was shot with a live round in the head before being rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his serious wounds.

Al-Atrash was shot during protests in the Shallala Street in Hebron after the army attacked the protesters with many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.

Many Palestinians suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation, and several others sustained cuts and bruises.

The Palestinian is a former political prisoner released last year after eight years in Israeli prisons. He was also previously shot and injured by the Israeli army.

Earlier Thursday, the soldiers and undercover units invaded Jenin and Jenin refugee camp, leading to protests and exchanges of fire before killing two Palestinians, and wounding dozens, including at least three who suffered life-threatening wounds.

The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the slain Palestinians as Yazid Nidal Sa’adi, 27, in Jenin city, and Sanad Mohammad Abu Atiya, 17, from the Jenin refugee camp.
