January 6, 2022: Bakeer Mohammad Hashash, 21, was killed by Israeli soldiers near Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said protests took place after many Israeli army vehicles invaded the area.

His cousin, Mohammad Hashash, said Bakeer recently exchanged fire with Israeli soldiers during an invasion into Nablus city, especially the eastern area near Joseph Tomb site, and since then, the army has been trying to abduct him.

He added that, approximately at 2:30 at dawn, the soldiers invaded the eastern area of Balata refugee camp, Balata town, and the al-Quds Street, and said that Mohammad exchanged fire with the soldiers for almost twenty minutes before he was shot and killed.

During the invasion, the soldiers invaded and searched several homes and abducted a young man, identified as Mohammad Salama from Balata al-Balad adjacent town.

After his death, hundreds of Palestinians marched in Nablus calling for ongoing resistance against the Israeli occupation.

His mother said that just before the soldiers invaded the area, he asked her to make him some coffee, and added that after he drank the coffee, he told her he wants to seek shelter at a Palestinian security center but was killed minutes later.

Israeli sources have confirmed that the slain man has been “wanted” by the army for a long time.

December 31, 2021: Amir Atef Khader Rayyan, 36, was killed by Israeli soldiers after he allegedly attempted to carry out a stabbing attack near the illegal Ariel colony, northwest of Salfit in the central occupied West Bank.

Israeli sources claimed that the young man “got out of a vehicle and ran towards a bus stop at the Giti Avishar junction with a knife in his hand,” in an alleged stabbing attempt.

Israeli media agency “Walla” claimed that “the soldiers in the area ordered the man to stop, and when he did not respond, he was shot with several live rounds in the abdomen”.

The Palestinian News & Information Agency (WAFA) reported that the seriously injured young man was pronounced dead one hour after being shot and added that Palestinian medical crews rushed to the area but were denied access to provide him treatment.

There were no reports of any injuries among Israeli colonists or soldiers.

The slain Palestinian man was a married father of several children. His brother, Mansour, is a former political prisoner who was exiled by Israel from the West Bank to the Gaza Strip, several years ago.

The Palestinian is the ninth to be killed by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank, in December 2021.

On December 24, a Palestinian woman, identified as Ghadir Anis Masalma, 63, was killed by an Israeli colonialist settler who rammed her with his car and fled the scene, near the entrance of the town of Sinjil, northeast of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

On December 22, Israeli soldiers killed Mohammad Issa Abbas, 26, in the al-Biereh city, near Ramallah.

On December 21, the soldiers killed Abdul-Aziz Hikmat Mousa, 22, at Dothan military roadblock, near Ya’bad town, southwest of Jenin in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

On December 12, 2021, the soldiers killed Jamil Mohammad al-Kayyal, 31, in Nablus city in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

On December 10, 2021, the soldiers killed Jamil Abu Ayyash, 31, during the weekly protest against the illegal Israeli colonies in Beita town, southeast of Nablus.

On December 6, 2021, the soldiers killed Mohammad Nidal Younis, 15, at a military roadblock near Tulkarem, in the northern part of the West Bank, after the army claimed he intentionally rammed his car into the roadblock.

On December 04, 2021, the army killed Mohammad Shawkat Salima, 25, after he stabbed an Israeli settler in occupied Jerusalem, in the West Bank. He was first shot and injured and was lying on the ground before the soldiers fired a second live round that killed him.

Ghadir Anis Masalma

December 24, 2021: Ghadir Anis Masalma, 63, was killed by an Israeli colonialist settler who rammed her with his car and fled the scene, near the entrance of the town of Sinjil, northeast of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

The Mayor of Sinjil, Hazem Tawafsha, stated that Ghadir was standing with her husband at the entrance to the town, near the settler-only bypass Road 60 when she was killed.

Five years ago, Ghadeer won her battle with cancer; “I am stronger than cancer,” she used to say according to family.

Her husband, Saleh Abu Hamada, 67, said the Israeli colonizers rammed his wife with the car and fled the scene.

“He didn’t stop, he didn’t slow down, he just rammed her with his car, and sped away,” her husband stated, “We were just heading back home.”

“She was always very socially active, loves to be around people and her family. Her heart was always loving and caring,” her niece, Zahra said, “She was a loving mother to everybody who knew her.

In related news, Israeli colonizers attacked and injured three Palestinians while working on their lands in the Wadi Qana area, in Deir Istiya town, west of Salfit in the central West Bank.

Many farmers, who were working on their lands in the area, rushed to the aid of the Palestinians and managed to force the colonizers away.

Ghadeer is the seventh Palestinian to be killed by Israeli soldiers and settlers this month alone.

On December 22, Israeli soldiers killed Mohammad Issa Abbas, 26, in the al-Biereh city, near Ramallah.

December 22, 2021: Mohammad Issa Abbas, 26, was killed by Israeli soldiers in the al-Biereh city, near the central West Bank city of Ramallah.

In a statement, the Israeli army claimed that its soldiers were looking for Palestinians who were spotted approaching the Psagot colony and fired a few live rounds.

It added that its soldiers then invaded the outskirts of al-Biereh city looking for Palestinians, before they came under fire from a passing vehicle, and fired at the car, wounding a young man.

The slain Palestinian was not the driver but was apparently on the passenger side of the vehicle; no soldiers were injured in the incident.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said that Mohammad was shot in the back before he was rushed to Palestine Medical Complex where he succumbed to his serious wounds.

Israeli sources said “it is believed” that the slain Palestinian was the one who fired the shots at Psagot. However, the allegation cannot be verified and remains speculation on the part of the Israeli military.

The invasion into al-Biereh led to protests before the army fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and concussion grenades.

After Mohammad’s death, dozens of Palestinians marched to Palestine Medical Complex while chanting against the illegal Israeli occupation and its constant violations.

On Wednesday night, dozens of soldiers invaded the Sateh Marhaba area in al-Biereh city and initiated a comprehensive search campaign.

The young man is the sixth Palestinian to be killed by Israeli soldiers this month alone.

Abdul-Aziz Hikmat Mousa

December 21, 2021: Abdul-Aziz Hikmat Mousa, 22, was killed by Israeli soldiers at Dothan military roadblock, near Ya’bad town, southwest of Jenin in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Israeli sources claimed the Palestinian fired shots from his car at a military vehicle at the roadblock causing it to catch on fire. No injuries were reported among the soldiers.

It alleged that, as he approached the roadblock, he rammed his car into the burning military vehicle before the soldiers opened fire on him causing his car to ignite as well.

The Israeli army also prevented Palestinian ambulances from reaching the area, and installed many roadblocks around it, in addition to many villages and towns, south of Jenin.

Firefighters arrived to put out the conflagration and found Mousa had passed away in his car and his corpse was burnt inside his car.

Military roadblocks are historically extremely dangerous for Palestinians and are often the stage for extrajudicial killings under various allegations.

“Even in the worst-case scenario of an intentional car-ramming, the Israeli officers who shot this unarmed civilian while he was trying to run in the opposite direction violated Israel’s own rules of engagement that stipulate using lethal force only and strictly when necessary to repel a direct threat to life,” reports Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor.

After the soldiers killed Abdul-Aziz, hundreds of Palestinians marched towards his family’s home while chanting against the illegal Israeli occupation and calling on the International Community to hold Israel accountable for its crimes.

On June 23, 2020, the soldiers killed Ahmad Mustafa Erekat, 26, at the “Container” military roadblock, northeast of Bethlehem, while he was preparing for his sister’s wedding that was scheduled to take place later that day.

The soldiers claimed that Ahmad ‘tried to ram them with his car’ – a claim that his family says is beyond ridiculous.

The head of Abu Dis Town Council, Ahmad Abu Hilal, said the soldiers shot Ahmad with multiple rounds and left him to bleed to death, before taking his corpse away.

Abu Hilal added that Ahmad was driving to Bethlehem city to fetch his sisters and his mother from a hairdressing shop in Bethlehem, as the family was preparing for the wedding of one of his sisters, which was supposed to take place on the same day.

December 12, 2021: Jamil Mohammad al-Kayyal, 31, was killed by Israeli soldiers who invaded Nablus city in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said several army jeeps invaded the Ras al-‘Ein area in Nablus city, leading to protests, before the soldiers fired many live rounds at random, in addition to rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

Ahmad Jibril, the director of the Nablus office of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), said the soldiers shot Jamil with a live round in the head and killed him.

Jibril added that the army jeeps also chased many Palestinians, and rammed two young men with their jeeps, resulting in moderate wounds, in addition to causing many to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The Israeli soldiers also abducted a young man, identified as Amir al-Haj, and took him to an unknown destination.

It is worth mentioning that Palestinian medics took the corpse of the slain young man to a hospital in Nablus, where his family rushed to, before hundreds of Palestinians gathered in front of the hospital while chanting against the ongoing Israeli occupation and calling for resisting the Israeli occupation until liberation and independence.

Jamil Abu Ayyash

December 10, 2021: Jamil Abu Ayyash, 31, was killed by Israeli soldiers during the weekly protest against the illegal Israeli colonies in Beita town, southeast of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

The head of the Emergency and Ambulance Department at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Ahmad Jibril, told the Palestinian News & Information Agency (WAFA) that the army opened live fire at non-violent protesters on Sbeih Mountain, killing Jamil Abu Ayyash, and causing at least sixty-eight cases of inhalation injuries from tear gas.

He added that the slain young man was shot with a live round in the head with a live round, and was transferred by ambulance to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead due to his critical wounds shortly after arrival.

Palestinian youths have been protesting for months in rejection of Israel’s expansion of its illegal colonies, especially when Israeli colonizers occupied the top of the mountain and installed the illegal “Avitar” colonialist outpost.

Earlier in the day, soldiers accompanied bulldozers that razed a power network and roads leading to the protest site, in addition to uprooting olive trees on Palestinian-owned lands.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affair and Ex-Patriates issued a statement denouncing the killing of Abu Ayyash and called The Human Rights Council’s International Commission of Inquiry to Investigate Violations in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, to investigate his death and all Israeli crimes and violations.

It said that the Israeli army’s use of live ammunition against unarmed protesters is a war crime, and a crime against humanity, and is yet another proof that Israel does not seek peace and is ongoing with its hostile policies against the Palestinian people and any treaty or resolution that would result in real and comprehensive peace based on international legitimacy resolutions.

It also called on the International Criminal Court to open an immediate inquiry into the escalating Israeli crimes and violations against the Palestinian people, their property, and their holy sites.

The Ministry urged the International Community to provide the urgently needed protection to the Palestinian people and to end its idleness by prosecuting those who commit these crimes against unarmed civilians and their property.

It is worth mentioning that the funeral ceremony of the slain young man was held in his town, with the participation of hundreds of Palestinians, including social figures.

Jamil is the ninth Palestinian to be killed in Beita since the protests against the annexation of Sbeih Mountain started after the colonizers occupied it in May of this year, 2021.

December 6, 2021: Mohammad Nidal Younis, 15, was killed by Israeli soldiers at a military roadblock near Tulkarem, in the northern part of the West Bank, after the army claimed he intentionally rammed his car into the roadblock.

Israeli sources said a security guard was seriously injured before he was rushed to Tal HaShomer medical center and added that his wounds were mainly to the chest and head.

In a statement, the Israeli army claimed that the Palestinian sped towards the roadblock and rammed his car into the guard post, causing serious wounds to a security guard, 34 years of age.

It added that another guard opened fire at the Palestinian car, seriously wounding the driver before he was moved to a hospital where he died from his wounds.

After the incident, the soldiers invaded Nablus city, before storming and ransacking the family home of the slain child, in addition to detaining and interrogating the family in their home. The invasion into the home and the violent search caused excessive property damage.

The child’s uncle said that his nephew went missing after midnight, before his family started looking for him and asking his friends if they knew his whereabouts but could not find him until their received news about the incident at the roadblock.

“We saw pictures posted on social media, and we saw the car in one of the photos crashed into the roadblock,” the uncle said.

The child’s father later received a phone call on his mobile phone from an Israeli intelligence officer telling him that he and the soldiers are in his home and that he needs to come back immediately.

The father of the slain teen, a former political prisoner who was held by Israeli for twelve years. was ordered to head to Huwwara military base for interrogation, but due to his grief, he could not go.

The Israeli army refused to allow the transfer of the slain child’s corpse to his family.

Mohammad Shawkat Salima

December 04, 2021: Mohammad Shawkat Salima, 25, was killed by Israeli soldiers after he stabbed an Israeli settler in occupied Jerusalem, in the West Bank.

Media sources said Mohammad was shot by at least two soldiers at the al-Misrara junction in Bab al-Amoud, in Jerusalem.

The second live round that killed the Palestinian was delivered after he was struck by the first bullet and was lying on the ground.

After the fatal shooting, the soldiers also attacked many Palestinians who gathered in the area and fired gas bombs at them.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center In Silwan (Silwanic) said the soldiers injured at least three Palestinians in Bab al-‘Amoud, in addition to abducting two others.

It added that one of the wounded was shot with a concussion grenade, and one was beaten by the soldiers, in addition to dozens who suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The young man’s death led to protests in Jerusalem, Salfit, and other parts of the West Bank.

Israeli sources have confirmed that the injured Israeli man suffered moderate wounds.

The Israeli police issued a statement and released a surveillance video showing the Palestinian man stabbing the Israeli, in addition to attempting to stab the police before he was shot.

Fadi Abu Shkheidem

November 21, 2021: Fadi Abu Shkheidem, 42, was killed during an exchange of fire with Israeli soldiers, near the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in occupied Jerusalem, in the West Bank.

The Israeli police said the Palestinian, who was reportedly armed with a “Carlo” submachine gun, opened fire at Israeli police officers before they shot him dead.

An Israeli source said one officers, identified as Eliyahu David Kay, 26, was killed in the attack and added that four Israelis, including two border police officers, were injured in the incident that took place at Bab al-Silsila Gate of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in Jerusalem.

Israeli sources said Kay was an immigrant from South Africa, who worked at the “Western Wall Heritage Foundation,” and that he enlisted with the Israeli army in the year 2018.

He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head and succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at an Israeli hospital.

After the shooting, dozens of soldiers invaded the home of Fadi Abu Shkheidim, and ransacked it, causing excessive property damage, in addition to interrogating the family.

During the invasion, the soldiers forced the family into one room of their home in Shu’fat refugee camp in Jerusalem, before summoning for interrogation Omar’s mother, along with his two brothers and one sister, in addition to his child Abdullah, only 8 years of age.

The invasion led to protests before the soldiers fired many rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

Abu Schiedam was a former political prisoner, and a married father of five, and was also considered a political leader of Hamas although he wasn’t among its ranks, or part of its military wing, known as al-Qassam Brigades.

He also held a master’s degree in Islamic studies and sharia law and worked as a teacher and a Khatib in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. He was also in college preparing to obtain his PHD.
