June 8, 2018: Emad Nabil Abu Drabi, 26, was shot and killed by Israeli forces east of Jabalia, in northern Gaza, while participating in a non-violent protest against the imprisonment of Gaza by the Israeli military, which has surrounded the coastal strip since 2005, controlling land,sea and air.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza has confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed four Palestinians, including one child, and injured 618 others, including five journalists, 26 children and 14 women, and added that 117 of the wounded were shot with live fire, among them eight who suffer very serious injuries.

The army also killed a Palestinian child, identified as Haitham Mohammad Khalil al-Jamal, 15, from Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

In addition, the soldiers killed Yousef al-Faseeh, 29, with live fire, east of Gaza City.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip, said the soldiers shot at least 92 Palestinians with live fire, and 19 others were injured by shrapnel from the bullets.

He added that the army also shot five journalists, including Mohammad al-Baba, who works for Agence France Presse,. He was injured with a live round in his thigh.

Dr. al-Qedra also stated that among the wounded Palestinians are 26 children and 14 women. The rest of the injured Palestinians suffered cuts and bruises, in addition to the severe effects of teargas inhalation. Most of these were treated at field hospitals that were set up in the five main protest encampments at the border

One of the wounded Palestinians was directly shot with a high-velocity gas bomb which lodged in his upper jaw and settled in his mouth, moderately wounding him and causing him to suffer the severe effects of teargas inhalation and nearly suffocate.

It is worth mentioning that thousands of Palestinians participated in the Great Return March protests, Friday June 8^th, in several areas in the coastal region.

In a statement, Dr. al-Qedra said the soldiers killed 127 Palestinians, and injured 14700 others, including women, children, medics and journalists, in the Gaza Strip, since the beginning of the Great Return March on Palestinian Land, on March 30th, 2018.

The protests began on Land Day, on March 30th, and have continued each Friday through Nakba Day on May 15th, the 70th anniversary of the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

June 8, 2018: Haitham Mohammad Khalil al-Jamal, 15, was killed by Israeli army fire in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, while participating in a non-violent protest against the imprisonment of Gaza by the Israeli military, which has surrounded the coastal strip since 2005, controlling land,sea and air.

It added that the soldiers also killed Emad Nabil Abu Drabi, 26, near the Great Return Camp, east of Jabalia, in northern Gaza.

Ramzi Najjar

June 4, 2018: Ramzi Najjar, 22, was shot by Israeli soldiers near the border fence, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, after cutting sections of the border fence. Other Palestinians who were with Ramzi, managed to escape unharmed.

According to local sources, the Israeli soldiers opened fire at several young men,who approached the border fence, seriously wounding one of them, before abducting him. The wounded Palestinian, later identified as Ramzi, died from his serious injury shortly after being detained.

It should be noted that Ramzi was still alive when he was taken by Israeli forces – the same forces who had just shot him. After the Israeli military pronounced him dead, they refused to release his body to his family.

Ramzi was a cousin and neighbor of the young female Palestinian medic, , Razan Najjar, 22, who was shot and killed by Israeli forces while helping treat wounded protesters, on Friday June 1st, 2018.

Israeli Ynet News claimed the soldiers killed “one of two Palestinians who attempted to cross the fence,” and added that “they were found to be carrying an ax.”

Despite Israeli military claims that the ax was meant to attack Israeli soldiers, there was no evidence of any intention to do anything beyond tearing down the fence that imprisons the 2 million people who live in the Gaza Strip.

Ramzi’s sister told reporters that Ramzi was saddened and angered by the death of Razan, and that he was always telling her about the great work that Razan was doing, describing her as the angel of mercy, helping all the wounded, and her ongoing care, dedication, selfless giving and support to the injured Palestinians.

She added that her brother and friends were always present at the Return Camp, helping the people, bringing them water, and doing whatever they could to assist the two-month long non-violent protest camp at the Gaza-Israel border.

The death of Ramzi followed an invasion of Gaza on Monday morning, in which four Israeli tanks and three D9 armored military bulldozers, invaded Palestinian lands near Malka area, east of the Zeitoun neighborhood, in the eastern part of Gaza city.

The vehicles advanced at least 150 meters into Palestinian agricultural lands, and bulldozed them, in addition to placing sand hills and more barbwire fences.

The soldiers fired several live rounds, and smoke bombs, during the invasion, while military drones flew overhead.

On Sunday, the soldiers shot and injured a Palestinian man after he allegedly approached the barbed-wire fence, to the east of Khan Younis.

On the same day, the Palestinian Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip said that a young Palestinian man, identified as Mohammad Na’im Hamada, 30, who was shot and seriously injured by Israel army fire, on May 14, has succumbed to his wounds.

On Friday, the soldiers killed a young Palestinian woman, a medic identified as Razan Ashraf Najjar, 22, and injured 100 Palestinians, including 40 with live fire.

Razan was the second medic to be killed by Israeli army fire since March 30th, after the soldiers killed Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein, 36, who was shot on May 14th, while wearing a clearly marked medic vest.

In the West Bank, the soldiers killed, on Saturday June 2nd, a Palestinian worker, identified as Rami Wahid Sabarna, 36, in Hebron, while he and other workers were conducting work for the Hebron City Council to rehabilitate and expand a road near the Ibrahimi Mosque.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, said in Twitter and Facebook posts that with Ramzi’s death, the Israeli soldiers have killed 123 Palestinians, including 13 children, and injured 13672 others, including hundreds who suffered serious wounds, mainly after being shot with expanding bullets, since March 30^th.

He denounced the Israeli army’s use of sniper fire to kill and main the protesters, and for using gas bombs of unknown components that cause serious complications, impacting the neurological and the respiratory systems.

Dr. al-Qedra also said that, besides killing the two medics, the soldiers injured 223 others, and caused damage to 37 ambulances, in addition to targeting Palestinian journalists, killing two, identified as Yasser Mortaja and Ahmad Abu Hussein, in addition to wounding 144 others.

June 03, 2018: Mohammad Na’im Hamada, 30, succumbed to serious wounds he suffered, on May 14, after Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire east of Gaza city, during the Great Return March.

Hamamda was rushed to a Palestinian hospital in Gaza.

His condition apparently witnessed a brief partial recovery, a few days before his death, and celebrated his daughter’s sixth birthday from his hospital bed, but later suffered another serious deterioration, and died from his wounds.

On Friday, June 03, the soldiers killed a volunteer medic, identified as Razan Ashraf Najjar, and injured 100 others, including 40 with live fire.

On Wednesday, May 30, a young man, identified as Naji Maisara Abdullah Ghneim, 23, succumbed to serious wounds he suffered when was shot by an Israeli soldier stationed across the border fence, east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, a few days earlier.

The young man was moved to a hospital in Gaza, and then to another hospital in Jerusalem, due to the seriousness of his condition, but succumbed to his wounds.

Razan Ashraf Najjar

June 1, 2018: Razan Ashraf Najjar, 22, was a female volunteer medic who was shot and killed by Israeli forces while helping treat wounded protesters at a ‘Great Return March’ protest on Friday June 1st, 2018. On the same day, Israeli forces injured 100 Palestinians, including 40 who were shot with live fire.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the soldiers resorted to the excessive use of force against Palestinian protesters, participating in the Great Return March, and marching for breaking the ongoing deadly Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, stated that the Razan was killed by live Israeli army fire after the soldiers targeted five medics providing treatment to wounded Palestinians in the “Return Camp,” east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

He added that the soldiers also injured more than 100 Palestinians, including 40 with live fire, while the rest suffered various cuts and bruises, in addition to the effects of teargas inhalation.

Razan, who was wearing a clearly-marked medic vest, was at least 100 meters away from the eastern border fence when she was shot while providing aid to wounded Palestinians and attempting to evacuate them to the field clinic.

Prior to her injury, Razan, managed to render aid to many wounded Palestinians, including an elderly man who suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

Razan was killed when an Israeli sniper shot her in the back, and the bullet went through her heart.

Dr. Rasha Abdul-Rahman Qdeih said she was with Razan when they were trying to help wounded Palestinians, but five army jeeps came close to the fence, before two soldiers left one of the vehicles and pointed their sniper scopes at them.

“I shouted at my colleagues to take cover and remain alert,” she said, “The soldiers fired several rounds, and some minutes later, we managed to evacuate the wounded, before the soldiers started firing gas bombs.”

“But then, the soldiers fired several exploding rounds at us; one of them struck Razan and killed her, and another bullet struck a medic, identified as Rami Abu Jazar, in his thigh, in addition to shrapnel in his left thigh, arm and leg, while another medic, Mahmoud Abdul-‘Aati, was injured by shrapnel,” Dr. Rasha added.

It is worth mentioning that Razan is the second medic to be killed by Israeli army fire since March 30^th, after the soldiers killed Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein, 36, who was shot on May 14^th, while wearing a clearly marked medic vest.

The soldiers also injured 223 medics, including 29 who were shot with live fire or after being directly targeted with high-velocity gas bombs.

Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi, the head of the Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS), said Razan was a volunteer with the PMRS, and was killed after the soldiers fired live rounds at a filed clinic, hundreds of meters away from the border fence.

Dr. Barghouthi said the killing of the volunteer medic is another crime committed by Israel against innocent civilians, including medics and journalists, and added that the medical teams will continue their humanitarian duties despite the Israeli violations, and constant escalation.

Razan’s death brings the number of Palestinians, killed by Israeli army fire since the beginning of the “Great Return March, on March 30th, to 119, while more than 13400 have been injured, including 330 who suffered life-threatening wounds.

May 30, 2018: Naji Maisara Abdullah Ghneim, 23, died of wounds sustained on May 14th while he was at a protest in Rafah, in southern Gaza, as part of the ‘Great Return March’.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the young man was shot by an Israeli soldier stationed across the border fence, east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

It added that the young man was moved to a hospital in Gaza, and then to another hospital in Jerusalem, due to the seriousness of his condition, but succumbed to his wounds on May 30th.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, said the Israeli soldiers have killed 118 Palestinians, and injured 13300 others, including 330 who suffered life-threatening wounds since the beginning of the Great Return March, on Palestinian Land Day, March 30^th, 2018.

May 28, 2018: Nasser ِAref Abdul-Rauf al-‘Ereini, 28, died from serious wounds he suffered on May 14th, 2018, when Israeli soldiers shot him during the Great Return March, in northern Gaza.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry, said that Yasser suffered, on May 14th, very serious wounds by Israeli army fire, on Palestinian lands, east of Jabalia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

He was rushed to the Indonesian hospital, in Beit Lahia, also in northern Gaza, where he succumbed to his serious wounds on May 28th.

On Saturday at dawn, May 26, a Palestinian man, identified as Hussein Salem Abu ‘Oweida, 41, died from serious wounds he suffered after Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire, several days earlier.

On Friday, May 25, another young man, identified as Yasser Sami Habib, 24, succumbed to wounds sustained from Israeli army gunfire during the protests on May 14.

Habib suffered a very serious injury before he was rushed to a hospital in Gaza, and was later transferred to Sr. Joseph Hospital, in occupied Jerusalem, where he succumbed to his wounds.

Two other Palestinians, identified as Ahmad Ali Qattoush, 23 Mohannad Bakr Abu Tahoun, 21, who were injured, during the protests on May 14, also succumbed to their wounds on Thursday evening.

The death of Yasser brings the death toll of Palestinians killed during protests against the Israeli occupation since March 30th to 117.

Abdul-Halim Abdul-Karim an-Naqa

May 27, 2018: Abdul-Halim Abdul-Karim an-Naqa, 28, was killed when Israeli soldiers fired several shells into a structure and Palestinian lands, between Rafah and Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Another Palestinian was killed in the same shelling, and a third was critically injured and died later the same day.

Media sources in Gaza said the soldiers fired at least two artillery shells near Sofa Crossing, between Rafah and Khan Younis, directly striking a structure, killing Hussein Samir al-‘Amour, 25, and Abdul-Halim Abdul-Karim an-Naqa, 28.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army claimed it struck a “Hamas observation post near Khan Younis,” killing two Palestinians.

Meanwhile, the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, issued an official statement saying the two slain Palestinians were members of the group.

The soldiers also fired two more shells into another area, east of Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza Strip, causing serious damage.

In addition, the Israeli Air Force fired six missiles into two sites, west of Rafah and west of Khan Younis, turning them into rubble.

Israeli daily Haaretz quoted a statement issued by the army, confirming the bombing in Gaza, and saying that the bombardment came “in retaliation for an explosive charge, which was placed near the border fence, and detonated while the army was dismantling it.”

It added that the army did not report any casualties and that the explosive was placed near the border fence in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, “in order to harm soldiers operating in the area.”

The Israeli army stated that, “Hamas continues its daily attempts to damage security infrastructure, threatening both soldiers and civilians,” and held Hamas solely and fully responsible for all incidents in the Gaza Strip.

The army spokesperson added that Hamas will “face the consequences of all activities stemming from the Gaza Strip, targeting Israel and its sovereignty.”

In addition, Israeli navy ships fired many live rounds at Palestinian fishing boats, near the shore of Khan Younis, causing damage.

On Saturday, the Israeli army said four Palestinians breached the “security fence” in southern Gaza, and “lit a Molotov cocktail,” and added that the soldiers fired live rounds. The military also said that some Palestinians burnt tires, but later recanted the allegation.

May 27, 2018: Naseem Marwan al-‘Amour, 20, was killed when Israeli soldiers fired several shells into a structure and Palestinian lands, between Rafah and Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. May 26, 2018: Hussein Salem Abu ‘Oweida, 41, died from serious wounds he suffered after Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire during the March of Return protest on May 14th, 2018, where he was selling ice cream and water hundreds of meters from the protest at the border fence.

The Ministry of Health said that Hussein was shot by the army hundreds of meters away from the border fence, east of Gaza city.

The Palestinian became paralyzed on May 14th when an Israeli army bullet struck him in his spine, before he was moved to the Shifa Medical Center, in Gaza City, but died from his wounds and serious complications.

In a video message before his death, Hussein said that he was just selling ice cream and refreshment near the protest tent, hundreds of meters away from the “border fence” to provide for his children in the besieged and imprisoned coastal region.

He also voiced an appeal to President Mahmoud Abbas, and various officials, to help him out, and provide him with medical treatment.

“I call on the entire world, and President Mahmoud Abbas, to have mercy on me; I want to walk again” he said, “I am here at the Shifa hospital, I am a paralyzed man. I pray for help, I am pleading for help – calling on them to see my difficult condition… and nothing more.”

The day before, on Friday, the Health Ministry said another young man, identified as Yasser Sami Habib, 24, succumbed to wounds sustained from Israeli army gunfire during the protests on May 14.

Habib suffered a very serious injury before he was rushed to a hospital in Gaza, and was later transferred to Sr. Joseph Hospital, in occupied Jerusalem, where he succumbed to his wounds.
