Mo’men Omar Salama Dheir

July 29, 2014: Mo’men Omar Salama Dheir, 9, was killed by Israeli missiles fired from aircraft at the family’s three-story house, in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Five families comprised of 26 Palestinians were living in the bombardment house which was completely destroyed, causing the death of 19 Palestinians from Dheir family, including eight children.

Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights has reported that most of the residents of the bombarded building were not at home at the time of the Israeli bombardment, but most of the family members returned to the building to reunite with his grandmother, Turkiya, to celebrate Eid al-Fitr Muslim feast which marks the end of Ramadan.

The slain family members have been identified by al-Mezan Center for Human Rights as:

  1. Turkiya Khalil Hamed Dheir, 66.
  2. Ezat Salama Mahmoud Dheir, 23, Turkiya’s son. (Journalist) (Journalist)
  3. Omar Salama Mahmoud Dheir, 38, Turkiya’s son.
  4. Reem Abdel Aziz Mohammed Dheir, 32, Omar’s wife.
  5. Maria Omar Salama Dheir, 12, Reem and Omar’s daughter.
  6. Ghidaa Omar Salama Dheir, 7, Reem and Omar’s daughter
  7. Mohammed Omar Salama Dheir, 10, Reem and Omar’s son.
  8. Mo’men Omar Salam Dheir, 9, Reem and Omar’s son.
  9. Yamen Omar Salama Dheir, 5, Reem and Omar’s son.
  10. Mahmoud Salama Mahmoud Dheir, 46, Turkiya’s son.
  11. Jamalat Mahmoud Mohammed Dheir, 41, Mahmoud’s wife.

That day witnessed one of the most intensive Israeli bombardments and shelling in the Gaza Strip.

Maria Omar Salama Dheir

July 29, 2014: Maria Omar Salama Dheir, 12, was killed by Israeli missiles fired from aircraft at the family’s three-story house, in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Five families comprised of 26 Palestinians were living in the bombardment house which was completely destroyed, causing the death of 19 Palestinians from Dheir family, including eight children.

Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights has reported that most of the residents were outside the home at the time of the attack, but the brothers and most of their families had come back the day before to be reunited with her grandmother, Turkiya, for Eid al-Fitr, the feast at the end of Ramadan.

The slain family members have been identified by al-Mezan Center for Human Rights as:

  1. Turkiya Khalil Hamed Dheir, 66.
  2. Ezat Salama Mahmoud Dheir, 23, Turkiya’s son. (Journalist)

Ez Ad-Din Abu Amer

July 29, 2014: Ez Ad-Din Waddah Abu Amer, 5, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired missiles at a residential building in the al-Mahatta area, in Khan Younis city, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, also killing his father, Waddah, 39, his mother, ‘Orouba, 41, and their children, Omar, 12, Issa, 7, and Imad, 5, in addition to Waddah’s brothers, Mohammed Hasan Abu Amer, 19, and Ahmed Hasan Amer, 35.

Also among the dead were Ahmed Suleiman Abu Amer, 40, his wife, Mona, 35, and their children Mohammed, 11, Marah, 10, Yasser, 8, Marwa, 5, and Suleiman, 3.

The residential building was about 400 square meters, owned by Karam Mohammed Al-Dali, where Abu Amer family lived in rented apartments, along with the families of al-Najjar, Breeka, and Mu’ammar.

The Israeli bombardment leveled the building, and caused severe damage to nearby buildings, leading to the death of 35 Palestinians, and wounding 27 others. Abu Amer family was living in a kindergarten in the building after fleeing their home. Ez ad-Din was from Khan Younis. Source: Mezan Center for Human Rights

July 29, 2014: Omar Waddah Abu Amer,12, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired missiles at a residential building in the al-Mahatta area, in Khan Younis city, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, also killing his father, Waddah, 39, his mother, ‘Orouba, 41, and their children, Abdel-Ghani, 10, Imad, 9, Issa, 7, and Ez Ad-Din, 5, in addition to Waddah’s brothers, Mohammed Hasan Abu Amer, 19, and Ahmed Hasan Amer, 35.
