Alyaa’ Saber Siam

siyamhomeJuly 21, 2014: Alyaa’ Saber Siam, 33, was killed by an Israeli missile fire from a plane into the apartment of Yasser al-Qassas in the fourth floor of the Thalathini Street, south of Gaza city.

Six children and three women were killed in the attack, and four persons, including two children, were injured.

Besides Alyaa’, the Israeli bombardment led to the death of the following family  members:

  1. Sumaya Mohammed Nassar Al-Qassas, 33, Yasser’s wife
  2. Yasmin Yasser Al-Qassas, 7, Yasser and Sumaya’s daughter
  3. Isara’ Yasser Al-Qassas, 10, Yasser and Sumaya’s daughter
  4. Arwa Yasser Al-Qassas, 5, Yasser and Sumaya’s daughter
  5. Samar Yasser Al Qassas, 3, Yasser and Sumaya’s daughter
  6. Faiza Saber Ahmed Siam, 67, Sumaya’s mother
  7.  Nesma Iyad Sa’d Al Qassas, 10, Yasser’s niece
  8. Lamia’ Iyad Al Qassas, 12, Yasser’s niece.

Faiza Saber Siam

siyamhomeJuly 21, 2014: Faiza Saber Siam, 67, was killed by an Israeli missile fire from a plane into the apartment of Yasser al-Qassas, in the Thalathini Street, south of Gaza city.

Six children and three women were killed in the attack, and four persons, including two children, were injured.

The slain Palestinians have been identified as Yasser’s wife, Sumaya Mohammed al-Qassas, 33, their daughters, Yasmin, 7, Isara’, 10, Arwa, 5, and Samar, 3, in addition to Sumaya’s sister, Alyaa’, 33, and Yasser’s nieces Nesma Iyad al-Qassas, 10, and Lamia Iyad al-Qassas, 12. Asma’ Al-Helou

July 21, 2014: Asma’ Al-Helou, 20, died from serious wounds suffered when Israeli missiles struck the family home in the Sheja’eyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, on July 20, instantly killing eleven family members, including infants and children. It took rescue and civil defense teams until July 27th to recover most of the bodies of the slain Palestinians as they remained buried under the rubble amidst ongoing Israeli bombardment. Ahmad Suleiman Sahmoud

July 20, 2014: Ahmad Suleiman Sahmoud, 34, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired missiles into the three-story house Tawfiq Ahmad Abu Jame’, where five families lived, in Bani Suheila town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

He was visiting the family when the Israeli shells struck their home, killing him and 25 Abu Jame’ family members.

Among the killed were 19 children, including two infant girls; one was four months, and the other was just one day old, while the rest were between the ages of 1 and 14.

The intensity of the Israeli bombardment and shelling prevented medics and rescue teams from conducting an efficient search until the next day. Ahmad was from Khan Younis. Source: Mezan Center for Human Rights
