Folla Rasmi Masalma

November 14, 2022: Folla Rasmi Abdul-Aziz Masalma, 15, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers who fired a barrage of bullets into a car in which Folla was a passenger, killing her and severely wounding the driver of the vehicle.

Folla would have turned 16 on the day after she was killed, and had been preparing for her birthday party. She was in the passenger seat of a car that was driving along a road in the Palestinian town of Betunia when they saw a bunch of Israeli soldiers crouched behind military vehicles up ahead of them. The driver tried to turn around, to back up and go another way, but the Israeli soldiers began firing from two different locations.

An eyewitnesses said that the soldiers fired at the car in three separate barrages of bullets in a short time. In addition to shooting Folla in the head, the driver was also shot and wounded, but he managed to get out of the car heavily bleeding and raising his hands in the air.

The soldiers then approached the vehicle and, according to eyewitnesses, roughly pulled the heavily bleeding child from the car and dropped her on the ground. They then tore off her clothes and appeared to do a few chest compressions, then dragged her to one of the army jeeps. That jeep was full of soldiers, so they carried her roughly to a second jeep – all while she was bleeding heavily from the head wound their gunshots had caused. They then put her in a third military jeep, on the floor of the jeep, by the feet of the soldiers in that jeep.

According to an eyewitness, the driver “was bleeding apparently from his hand, before he stepped out of his car with his hands up in the air. The soldiers took him to one of their jeeps. The girl was then taken out of the car and placed on the ground. She has bleeding when the soldiers carried her but dropped her on the ground, then carried her again, and took her to one of the jeeps that was at a distance.”

“But the jeep they took her to already had the wounded young man who was detained by them, so they placed her on the ground, and then took her to another jeep that had no space, before moving her to another jeep where they placed her on its floor and drove away…. she was bleeding… I don’t think there was any more blood in her body by then…”

“The soldiers then bought Shawarma and were driving away to eat it, this is how coldblooded their murder is!”, he concluded, “The blood was everywhere, even on their shawarma they were eating…”

An eyewitness, Bakr Armoush, 30, told WAFA Palestinian News Agency that the attack occurred approximately at four at dawn when a military force was deployed in the area after invading it 30 minutes earlier to abduct two young men in the Schools’ Area.

He added that the car transporting the slain woman was driving slowly, and when the driver saw the soldiers approximately 200 meters away, he tried to back away before more Israeli soldiers, who were hiding in the dark, started firing at the car, which came to a complete stop.

Later on, Palestinian medics managed to regain custody of Fulla’s body, and brought the child’s corpse to the Ramallah governmental hospital, then transferred her to the Doura governmental hospital near Hebron, in preparation for funeral ceremony.

On Monday evening, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed, at dawn, a teenage girl in Betunia town after shooting her with a live round in the head and added that the name Israeli military had published the incorrect name – misidentifying the child they had killed. The Palestinian Health Ministry was able to find out the actual name of the child and correct the mistake that was issued by the Israeli military.

Her family is originally from Beit Awwa town, west of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, but lives in Al-Biereh city near Ramallah.

The Health Ministry said the soldiers took the body of the slain girl and initially provided the Palestinian Civil Affairs Committee with a name of another woman who apparently had nothing to do with the incident.

Media sources said the soldiers shot Anas Hassouna, 26, before abducting him, and also abducted two Palestinians from their homes, Akram Silmi and Tareq Al-Emwasi.

According to the army, the soldiers were operating in the town and “signaled the driver to stop, but he accelerated before they opened fire,” wounding Anas, the driver, and killing the young woman in the same car, and added that it is reviewing the incident.

The army said it invaded Anata to arrest three “wanted” Palestinians from the town and one from nearby Betunia.

A surveillance video from the scene debunks the Israeli allegations and shows soldiers barricaded behind parked cars, opening fire at the car after the driver stepped on the brakes when he saw the army, and the car came to a complete halt.

The head of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, denounced the Israeli crime in Betunia and said the soldiers, encouraged by incitement and racism from the Israeli political leadership, are ongoing with their crimes against the Palestinian people, knowing well there will be no accountability.

Mahdi Hashash

November 9, 2022: Mahdi Mohammad Hamdallah Hashash, 17, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers, who also injured at least sixty east of Nablus city, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said many army jeeps and vehicles accompanied dozens of colonizers into “Joseph’s Tomb” east of the city, blockaded roads, and isolated many areas.

They added that dozens of Palestinians protested the invasion and hurled stones at the soldiers who fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.

Palestine TV said the soldiers shot Mahdi Mohammad Hamdallah Hashash, 17, from the Balata refugee camp, with a live round in the chest.

The Israeli army claimed the soldiers shot the Palestinian after he “threw explosives at the soldiers”, adding that the explosive did not cause injuries.

Ahmad Jibril, the head of the Emergency Department at the Nablus office of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), said its medics rushed Mohammad to a hospital in the city and provided treatment to three young men who were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets and fifty-seven who suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The Al-Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of the Fateh movement, said Mahdi was one of its members.

Ra’fat Ali Ayasa

November 9, 2022: Ra’fat Ali Ayasa, 29, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers while he attempted to cross the Annexation Wall heading to his work, west of Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that the Israeli soldiers fatally shot Ra’fat Ali Ayasa, 29, from Sanur town, southwest of Jenin.

Mahmoud Saadi, the head of the Emergency Department at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Jenin, said the soldiers shot Ra’fat with several live rounds.

The Palestinian, a construction worker, was trying to enter occupied Jerusalem to work through a breach in a section of the illegal Annexation Wall when the soldiers fired a barrage of live rounds at him and several other workers who managed to escape unharmed.

After shooting the Palestinian man, the soldiers took him to the Salem military base and later allowed his transfer to PRCS medics before he was rushed to the Ar-Razi Hospital in Jenin, where he was officially pronounced dead.

His uncle said that Ra’fat was a married father of one girl, had no political affiliation, and was only trying to work to provide for his family.

Thousands of Palestinians marched in Jenin, Jenin refugee camp, Sanur, and several other areas in Jenin, condemning the cold-blooded murder of the Palestinian worker and the seriously escalating Israeli violations.

Processions were also held in front of Khalil Suleiman governmental hospital in Jenin before the Palestinians marched in the city and the Jenin refugee camp, denouncing Ra’fat’s execution-style killing while all he wanted was to work to provide for his family.

Shalom Sofer

November 8, 2022: Shalom Sofer, 63, died from serious wounds he suffered on October 25, reportedly after a Palestinian stabbed him in the Al-Funduq village east of Qalqilia, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Shalom was pronounced dead  after a sharp deterioration in his condition.

Shalom was a colonialist settler from the Kedumim illegal colony east of Qalqilia in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Israeli Channel 7 quoted Shalom’s son, Lidor Sofer, stating that his father was recovering but suffered a serious health setback.

The son added that his father was discharged from the hospital last week and seemed to be recovering, but “suddenly, one of his wounds opened.”

The Israeli army said the soldiers arrested a Palestinian, believed to be the one who stabbed Shalom, hours after the attack took place.

Mos’ab Mohammad Nafal

November 05, 2022: Mos’ab Mohammad Mahmoud Nafal, 18, was killed by Israeli soldiers who also shot another Palestinian near Sinjil Palestinian town, north of Ramallah, in the central West Bank.

The Health Ministry has confirmed that Mos’ab was shot with a live round in the heart before the medics rushed him to Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.

It added that the doctors tried to revive the seriously wounded young man and provide him with the needed treatment, but he succumbed to his serious wounds.

The soldiers also shot another Palestinian before army medics provided him with the needed treatment and took him to an Israeli hospital.

The Israeli army claimed that the slain and the wounded young men were shot by the soldiers who “opened fire at Palestinians hurling stones at Israeli vehicles.”

However, the family said Mos’ab was with them, picking their olive trees in the area before many illegal Israeli colonizers attacked them and other villagers, forcing them to disperse and leave their lands.

The family added that Mos’ab and another young man could not be located following the Israeli attack, an issue that prompted the Palestinians to start looking for them.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said it received a call, approximately at six in the evening, informing it of injuries in an area near the Oyun Al-Hamriyah area near Sinjil and immediately dispatched two ambulances to the area.

The medics looked for Mos’ab in the olive orchards for about two hours and found him bleeding and in a very serious condition before they rushed him to Palestine Medical Complex, where he succumbed to his wounds.

The PRCS added that Israeli soldiers also invaded the area and searched the olive orchards before locating the other Palestinian, believed to have been seriously injured, and took him to an Israeli hospital.

Farouq Jamil Salama

November 3, 2022: Farouq Jamil Hasan Salama, 28, was shot by undercover Israeli soldiers in the head, chest, and abdomen, killing him.

Farouq was one of two Palestinians, including a child, killed on November 3rd by Israeli soldiers in Jenin and Jenin refugee camp, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank. In addition, Israeli troops injured at least four others

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that undercover Israeli soldiers shot Farouq Jamil Hasan Salama, 28. He was rushed to Jenin governmental hospital but succumbed to his profoundly serious wounds.

The Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) said Farouq was engaged, and his wedding was scheduled to be held Saturday.

The Israeli army said it invaded the Jenin refugee camp to arrest Farouq, a member of the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, before exchanging fire with him and other Palestinian fighters.

Israeli National News said the invasion was carried out by a member of Border Police’s “undercover Arab unit”, operating with Israeli soldiers and the Israel Security Agency – Shabak.

The Israeli army was also trying to abduct another Palestinian in the Jenin refugee camp but were unable to do so due to the fire exchange and withdrew from the area.

The soldiers also killed a child, Mohammad Samer Khallouf, 14, from Burqin town, west of Jenin, after shooting him with live fire in Jenin refugee camp.

The Palestinian was shot after many army vehicles invaded Jenin and Jenin refugee camp and surrounded a shop, leading to protests, before the army fired a barrage of live fire.

Earlier Thursday, the soldiers killed two Palestinians, Amer Halabiyya, 20, from Beit Hanina, and Daoud Mahmoud Rayyan, 42, from Beit Duqqu, near occupied Jerusalem.
