July 4, 2018: Mahmoud Majed Gharabli, 16, died from serious wounds he suffered on May 14th, after Israeli soldiers shot him during the Great Return March in Gaza.

The Ministry said the teen was shot by an Israeli army sniper east of Gaza city, while participating in a non-violent demonstration at the Gaza-Israel border.

The teen was shot in the head and remained in serious condition until he succumbed to his wounds on July 4th.

On the same day of his injury, May 14th, the soldiers killed sixty Palestinians, and injured 2700, including 27 who suffered very serious wounds, 59 serious injuries, 735 moderate wounds, and 882 suffered light wounds. Several Palestinians died from their critical injuries days, or weeks, after the being shot.

772 of the wounded Palestinians were shot with live rounds, three with rubber-coated steel bullets, 91 with shrapnel, 100 cuts and bruises and 737 suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

65 of the wounded were shot in the head and neck, 116 in their arms, 48 in the chest and back, 651 in the lower extremities, 52 in several parts of their bodies and 737 suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

Mohammad’s death brings the number of Palestinians, who were killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the Great Return March on March 30th, to 136, including 17 children and two women, as confirmed by the Health Ministry in Gaza.

The Ministry also said that the soldiers injured 15501 Palestinians, including 7270 who were treated in field trauma stabilization units, and 8221 who were moved to hospitals.

Among the injured are 2525 children, 1158 women, in addition to 375 who suffered severe wounds, 3819 moderate wounds, and 4027 minor injuries.

The Ministry said Israeli soldiers shot 4024 Palestinians with live ammunition, 428 with rubber-coated steel bullets, 1497 suffered severe effects of gas inhalation, and 2273 suffered various cuts and bruises.

588 of the wounded were injured in the head and neck, 340 in the chest and back, 370 in the abdomen and pelvis, 1011 in the upper limbs, 4161 in the lower limbs, and 1606 in other parts of their bodies.

It also said that 55 Palestinians suffered amputations in their lower limbs, 1 in the upper limb, and 6 suffered amputations of fingers.

The Israeli army also killed two Palestinian medics, identified as Razan Ashraf Najjar, 22, and Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein, 36, injured 318 others with live bullets and gas bombs, and caused damage to 45 ambulances.

In addition, the soldiers killed two journalists, identified as Yasser Mortaja, 31, and Ahmad Mohammad Abu Hussein, 25.

June 29, 2018: Yasser Amjad Mousa Abu Naja, 14, was killed by Israeli soldiers who shot him in the head at a protest in eastern Khuza’a town, near Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli bullet caused a laceration to his brain, and he immediately succumbed to the wound, and died on the scene.

In using excessive lethal force against the peaceful protesters in eastern Gaza Strip for the 11th Friday in a row, Israeli forces killed 2 Palestinian civilians, including Yasser.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, has confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed two Palestinians, including a child, and injured 415 others, including 11 children, two women (one of whom is a journalist) and three medics, in the “Great Return March” processions along the eastern parts of the Gaza Strip.

Dr. al-Qedra said the soldiers killed Mohammad Fawzi Mohammad al-Hamayda, 24, after shooting him with live rounds in the abdomen and his leg, east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

He added that the soldiers killed a child, identified as Yasser Amjad Abu Naja, 14, east of Khan Younis, also in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The official also said that the soldiers injured more than 415 Palestinians, including 136 who were moved to hospitals for further treatment, and 279 who received treatment in field clinics.

Three of the wounded Palestinians suffered life-threatening injuries and are still in serious condition.

The Israeli army started firing at the protesters after dozens of young men burnt tires near the border fence, along the eastern parts of the Gaza Strip, and launched balloons carrying the colors of the Palestinian flag, and pictures of Palestinians who were killed by the army since the protests started on Land Day, on March 30th, 2018.

Friday’s protest, part of ongoing processions for the fourteenth consecutive week, was dubbed “From Gaza to the West Bank, one fate, one blood,” expressing rejection of any attempt to isolate the Gaza Strip, and consider it a separate entity from the rest of occupied Palestine.

The soldiers used sniper rifles to target the unarmed protesters, in addition to firing dozens of rubber-coated steel bullets, concussion grenades and high-velocity gas bombs.

Furthermore, the soldiers deliberately targeted a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance in Malka area, east of Gaza city, inflicting damage and causing its team to suffer the severe effects of teargas inhalation.

The army attacked the protesters in border areas across the eastern side of the coastal region, from areas east of Rafah and Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, to Gaza city, Deir al-Balah in Central Gaza, in addition to Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia, in the northern part.

It is worth mentioning that a local folk-dance troupe (Dabka) danced to Palestinian and Arab music, expressing the steadfastness and determination to continue the struggle until achieve the internationally guaranteed legitimate rights of the Palestinian people of liberation, independence and sovereignty.

Following a decision by the highest political and military echelons, the Israeli forces decided to continue to use excessive force against the peaceful protesters, who pose no threat to the life of the soldiers.

At approximately 15:00, hundreds of civilians, including women, children and entire families, started swarming to 5 encampments established by the Supreme National Authority for the Great March of Return and Breaking Siege in eastern Rafah City; Khuza’ah in Khan Younis; al-Boreij in the Central Gaza Strip; Shija’eyya neighborhood in Gaza City; and eastern Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.

The number of participants gradually increased, reaching a peak at approximately 16:30, in the five demonstration areas, and they were estimated at thousands of men, elders, women and children.

According to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), the protesters were raising flags, chanting slogans and national songs, and flying kites, while hundreds of them, including children and women, approached the border fence, set fire to tires and attempted to throw stones at the Israeli forces.

Moreover, the protesters removed the barbed wire fence established by the Israeli forces inside the Palestinian territories around 50 meters away from the main border fence.

The Israeli shooting, which continued until 19:30, resulted in the killing of 2 civilians, including a child, in eastern Rafah and Khan Younis respectively, both south of the Gaza Strip when they were among other protestors around 100-200 meters away from the border fence.

In addition to Yasser, Mohamed Fawzi Mohamed al-Hamiydah (24) was hit with a live bullet to the abdomen when he was in eastern Rafah and killed.

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) condemns this new crime committed by the Israeli forces, believing it is as a result of Israel’s enjoying impunity thanks to the U.S. and so encouraging the Israeli forces to commit further crimes upon an official decision by the highest military and political echelons.

June 29, 2018: Mohammad Fawzi al-Hamiydah, 24, was shot in the abdomen by Israeli forces stationed at the border fence, during a protest in Rafah. He immediately succumbed to the wound, and died on the scene.

June 28, 2018: Abdul-Fattah Mustafa Abu ‘Azzoum, 17, died from serious wounds he suffered earlier at dawn, after Israeli soldiers fired shells at Palestinians in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry said the child suffered serious head wounds, inflicted by fragments of an Israel shell.

He was rushed to Abu Yousef Najjar Hospital, in Rafah, where he underwent an urgent surgery, but later succumbed to his wounds at the Intensive Care Unit.

Another Palestinian was also injured in the Israeli attack, and suffered moderate-to-severe wounds to several parts of his body.

The Israeli army claimed that the two Palestinians “were crawling towards the border fence,” when the soldiers fired a shell at them.

On Wednesday evening, the soldiers shot four Palestinians, including one who suffered serious wounds, and detained one child, east of Rafah, after the army claimed they attempted to breech the border fence.

On June 24, a young man, identified as Osama Khalil Abu Khater, 29, died from serious wounds he suffered, two days earlier, when Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire during a protest at the Gaza border fence.

The latest deaths bring the number of Palestinians, killed by Israeli army fire and shells since the “Great Return March” processions started on Palestinian Land Day, on March 30th 2018, to 133 including two journalists, identified as Yasser Mortaja, 31, and Ahmad Abu Hussein, 25.

June 24, 2018: Osama Khalil Abu Khater, 29, died at dawn from serious wounds he suffered last Friday when Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire during a demonstration at the Gaza border fence.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza said the young man, identified as Osama was shot with a live Israeli army bullet in the abdomen, during Friday’s Great Return March procession.

He added that Abu Khater, who was shot east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip, suffered a serious injury, and was rushed to the Gaza European Hospital, in southern Gaza, but succumbed to his wounds.

On Tuesday June 19, a cancer patient identified as Masoud Abdul Hai Abu Saqer, aged 49, died at Erez/Beit Hanoun crossing between Gaza and Israel, while awaiting to be interviewed by Israeli security officers, to discuss his permit application to receive treatment at an East Jerusalem hospital.

On Wednesday June 20, a young Palestinian man, identified as Mohammad Ghassan Abu Doqqa, 22, died from serious wounds he suffered when Israeli soldiers shot him on May 14th, 2018, east of Khuza’a town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Dr. al-Qedra said Abu Khater’s death brings the number of Palestinians, killed by Israeli army fire since the Great Return March processions started on Palestinian Land Day, on March 30th, to 131, including 13 children, and two journalists, identified as Yasser Mortaja, 31, and Ahmad Abu Hussein, 25, and wounded 144 others.

The soldiers also  killed two medics, identified as Razan Najjar, 22, and Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein, 36, injured 223 others, and caused damage to 37 ambulances.

June 20, 2018: Mohammad Ghassan Abu Doqqa, 22, died of wounds sustained when he was shot and serious injured by Israeli army fire on May 14th, 2018 during the Great Return March protest.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, said that Mohammad suffered a very serious wound after Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire, east of Khuza’a town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

He said Mohammad was rushed to a hospital in Khan Younis but was later moved to a hospital in occupied Jerusalem, due to the seriousness of his condition.

On June 18, 2018, a child identified as Zakariya Hussein Bashbash, 13, died of serious wounds sustained several days earlier when he was shot by Israeli soldiers at a protest in Gaza.

On the same day that Zakariya died of his wounds, Israeli soldiers killed Sabri Ahmad Abu Khader, 24, after shooting him with live fire near the Great Return Camp, east of Gaza city.

His death brings the number of Palestinians who were killed by Israeli army fire since March 30th, 2018 to 129, including two journalists and thirteen children.

The army also injured 13672 others, including hundreds of suffered serious wounds, mainly after being shot with expanding bullets.

In addition, the soldiers killed two medics, identified as Razan Najjar, 22, and Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein, 36, injured 223 others, and caused damage to 37 ambulances.

June 19, 2018: Masoud Abdul Hai Abu Saqer, 49, died at Erez/Beit Hanoun crossing between Gaza and Israel, while on his way to get treatment at an East Jerusalem hospital, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights said.

Abu Saqer had applied three times, in the past, for an Israeli army permit to leave Gaza for cancer treatment , but his application was continuously denied.

On the fourth attempt, Abu Saqer was summoned for an interview at Erez checkpoint, by the Israel security service, before it was decided whether or not to grant him a permit, but he died at the crossing during the interview, according to his son, Saed.

Abu Saqer was diagnosed with cancer in the his right lung as of December 2017, and has been trying ever since to reach a hospital in East Jerusalem for treatment, but without success.

Al Mezan said that at the fourth time, Abu Saqer was summoned for an interview at Erez checkpoint by the Israel security service before decided whether to grant or deny him a permit but he died at the crossing during the interview, according to his son, Saed.

Seven Gaza patients, including three women, have reportedly died, since the start of this year, after their applications for an Israeli permit to leave the besieged Gaza Strip were either denied or delayed.

June 18, 2018: Zakariya Hussein Bashbash, 13, died of serious wounds sustained several days earlier when he was shot by Israeli soldiers at a protest in Gaza.

According to Palestinian medical sources, Zakariya suffered a very serious injury when an Israeli soldier stationed across the border fence shot him with a live round.

Zakariya was shot east of the al-Boreij refugee camp in central Gaza, where a protest was taking place along the Gaza-Israel border as part of the Great Return March protests that began March 30th and have been taking place each Friday since then.

He was rushed to the Shifa Medical Center, where he was immediately moved to surgery, and remained in the Intensive Care Unit, until he succumbed to his serious wounds.

On the same day that Zakariya died of his wounds, Israeli soldiers killed Sabri Ahmad Abu Khader, 24, after shooting him with live fire near the Great Return Camp, east of Gaza city.

June 18, 2018: Sabri Ahmad Abu Khader, 24, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers near the Great Return Camp, east of Gaza city.

Medical sources in Gaza said the Palestinian was rushed to the Shifa Medical Center, in Gaza city, where he was admitted to surgery with critical gunshot wounds.

Doctors tried to save Sabri, but his wounds were too severe, and he died after several hours.

Sabri was a newlywed young man, who got married just five months ago. He was shot near Karni Crossing, east of Gaza city, where protesters had gathered as part of the ongoing protest at the Gaza-Israel border that began March 30th.

Israeli sources said some protesters continued to launch burning kites across the border fence, causing a new fire near Kissufim military base, in southern Gaza.

In related news, the Israeli army claimed that its soldiers observed two Palestinians who, they claimed, tried to breach the border fence. The army claimed that the two had carried explosives, which allegedly detonated while they were running back to Gaza, wounding them.

His death brings the number of Palestinians, who were killed by Israeli army fire since March 30th, to 127, including two journalists and thirteen children.

June 14, 2018: Ahmad Ziad Tawfiq al-‘Aassi, 21, died of wounds inflicted several days earlier by an Israeli gas bomb which struck him directly in his head, causing very serious wounds.

Ahmad was at a protest on the Gaza-Israel border as part of the Great Return March when he was shot and seriously injured by the Israeli army stationed at a military post across the border.

The Palestinian was rushed to the Gaza European Hospital, in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, and remained in the Intensive Care Unit until he succumbed to his serious wounds.
