October 12, 2016: Abdullah Nasser Abu Medhyef, 10, was killed by Israeli army fire when soldiers stationed across the border fence opened fire onto an area east of al-Qarara town, northeast of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army issued a statement denying any involvement in the shooting, while eyewitnesses and the ministry of health confirmed the shots came from the Israeli side. Source: IMEMC
