February 5, 2020: Mohammad Salman al-Haddad, 17, was shot and killed, on Wednesday, by Israeli soldiers who attacked Palestinian protesters in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has reported.

Witnesses said protests broke out in Bab az-Zawiya area, where the heavily-barricaded Israeli-controlled H2 area of Hebron meets the Palestinian-administered H1 section, where Israeli soldiers fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and tear-gas canisters at the youths.

The Ministry of Health said al-Haddad was brought to Hebron hospital in critical condition after an Israeli soldier shot him with a live round in the heart; he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

During the protest, some soldiers even fired bursts of automatic live fire at the unarmed Palestinian protesters who hurled stones at them.

The soldiers also fired a barrage of gas bombs, rubber-coated steel bullets, and concussion grenades.

The burial of the slain Palestinian teen was held by hundreds of Palestinians in Hebron, hours after his death.

January 29, 2020: Ibrahim Khalil ash-Shantaf, 21, died in an accident in a siege busting tunnel, near Gaza city. The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) reported that one of its fighters was killed in a tunnel accident.

The Brigades said the fighter, identified as Ibrahim Khalil ash-Shantaf, 21, was from Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza city.

It added that he was killed in an accident while working in one of its tunnels near the perimeter fence on the besieged and impoverished coastal region.

It is worth mentioning that hundreds of Palestinians have been killed or injured, in similar accidents. Many of them were not members of the Brigades or any armed resistance group and were working in the tunnels to provide for their families.

Most of the tunnels in Gaza are used for smuggling food, fuel, and medicine into the besieged Gaza Strip.

Ra’ad Majed al-Bahri

October 18, 2019: Ra’ad Majed Mohammad al-Bahri, 25, was shot and killed by Israeli forces at Jabara military roadblock, south of the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem, on Friday evening.

A correspondent with the Palestinian WAFA News Agency confirmed that a young man died after being shot by the Israeli forces at the roadblock after the soldiers shot him.

WAFA also reported that the young man was left to bleed to death when Israeli forces refused to allow the entry of ambulances of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society to the roadblock.

The Israeli army claimed that the “man ran towards the military roadblock, intending to attack the soldiers.”

But a photo released by the military shows the body of Ra’ad lying on the street a wide distance from the checkpoint where the soldiers were stationed. The army also produced no evidence to back their claim that Ra’ad was a threat.

August 28, 2019: Ala’ Ziad al-Gharabily, 32, was one of three Palestinian officers who were killed in a bombing which was carried out by two suicide bombers in Gaza.

The Interior and National Security Ministry in the Gaza Strip identified the officers as:

Lieutenant Salama Majed Nadim, 32.
Lieutenant Wael Mousa Khalifa, 45.
Deputy Officer Ala’ Ziad al-Gharabily.

It said that the three were with the local traffic and rescue police forces, and added that three others were injured.

The Spokesperson of the Interior Ministry in Gaza, Eyad el-Bozom, said the bombings were carried out by two suicide bombers, southwest of Gaza city, on Tuesday at night.

He said that two suicide bombers attacked two police checkpoints.

Two days after the attacks, Mousa Abu Marzouq, a member of the political bureau of Hamas, stated that the security forces of the Interior Ministry in Gaza arrested ten persons who are believed to be members of the cell that carried out the two bombings.

For his part, Eyad el-Bozom, the spokesperson of Gaza’s Interior Ministry, stated on Wednesday evening that the investigations are advancing and that the identity of those behind the bombing have been ascertained.

“Those behind these cowardice attacks are serving Israel’s interests,” he said, “They are trying to destabilize the Gaza Strip.”

El-Bozom also stated that the Interior Ministry will release more details of the bombing once all investigations are concluded.

In related news, the Higher Follow-Up Committee of National and Islamic Factions in Gaza, held a meeting to discuss the bombings and the current situation in the Gaza Strip.

It held Israel and its collaborators responsible for the attacks, and called on the security forces in Gaza to act fast and protect the internal front in the coastal region, especially since Israel is the first beneficiary of internal tension and instability.

March 12, 2019: Mohammad Jamil Shahin, 23, was killed by Israeli soldiers during an invasion of the central West Bank city of Salfit. The soldiers fired dozens of live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs at Palestinians protesting the invasion, killing Mohammad, and wounding more than 40 others.

The slain Palestinian was shot with a live round in the heart and died from his serious wounds shortly after he was injured.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said its medics provided treatment for 40 Palestinians; many of them were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets, and others suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

It is worth mentioning that dozens of soldiers invaded Salfit, and were deployed in several neighborhoods, and main roads, in addition to storming and ransacking buildings, including homes and shops, and confiscated surveillance recordings and equipment.

Also on Tuesday, the soldiers killed one Palestinian, identified as Yasser Fawzi Shweiki, 36, after shooting him with live fire in Hebron city, in the southern part of the West Bank.

In related news, the Palestinian Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip has confirmed, Tuesday, that a young man, identified as Mousa Mohammad Mousa, 23, who was shot and seriously injured by Israeli army fire, on March 1st, during the Great Return March processions, has died from his wounds.

On Monday morning, a young man, identified as Bassam Sami Othman Safi, 22, died from serious wounds he suffered by Israeli army fire, on February 22, 2019.

March 12, 2019: Yasser Fawzi Shweiki, 36, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers in Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, reportedly after he attempted to stab them. Palestinian sources have confirmed that the slain man was distributing notices from the Sharia Court in the city, when the soldiers shot him.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the soldiers shot and seriously injured Yasser Fawzi Shweiki, 36, and prevented its medics from approaching him.

Eyewitnesses said the Palestinian was left bleeding on the ground, after the soldiers shot him in the chest, and the soldiers later dragged his corpse into the nearby Rajabi building.

His father, Fawzi Shweiki, said that he heard the gunshots, but did not know that it was his son, who works for the local Sharia court and was distributing notices, who was the victim.

Israeli sources claimed that the soldiers shot the Palestinian after he attempted to stab them with a knife.

After his death, groups of illegal fanatic colonialist settlers, including children, “celebrated his death” by dancing and chanting in the streets of the occupied city.

In related news, the Palestinian Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip confirmed, Tuesday, that a young man, identified as Mousa Mohammad Mousa, 23, who was shot and seriously injured by Israeli army fire, on March 1st, during the Great Return March processions, has died from his wounds.

Amal Mustafa at-Taramisi

January 11, 2019: Amal Mustafa at-Taramisi, 43, was shot in the head and killed by Israeli forces while participating in the Great Return March protest in Gaza.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the slain Palestinian woman was shot in her head, and died from her serious wounds shortly after she was injured.

At least 25 Palestinians were injured in several areas of the Gaza Strip, including at least one who remains in a critical condition.

Updated From – Jan 11, 2019 @ 16:46: Israeli soldiers killed, Friday, one woman, injured 25 Palestinians, including one medic and a journalist, and caused dozens to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation, after the army resorted to the excessive use of force against the protesters, participating in the Great Return March procession in the Gaza Strip.

The attacks against the nonviolent protesters mainly took place near the perimeter fence, east of Gaza city, the al-Boreij refugee camp in central Gaza, in addition to Khan Younis and Rafah, in the southern part, and Jabalia in northern Gaza.

The soldiers, stationed in fortified towers and posts across the perimeter fence, fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, high-velocity gas bombs and concussion grenades.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said the soldiers shot and killed one woman, east of Gaza city, injured three others before they were moved to the Shifa Medical center, and caused dozens to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza said the slain woman is yet to be officially identified.

He added that the soldiers also shot two Palestinians with live fire, east of Jabalia, suffering moderate wounds, before they were rushed to the Indonesian Hospital in nearby Beit Lahia.

Dr. al-Qedra also stated that the soldiers also fired a high-velocity gas bomb at a Red Crescent ambulance, east of Gaza, wounding several Palestinians, including a medic, identified as Emad Sinwar, with a gas bomb that struck his neck, in addition to one journalist.

One Palestinian was shot with live fire, and many others suffered the effects of teargas inhalation, east of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.

Reham Dawabsha

September 7th, 2015:  Reham Dawabsha, 27, died of burn wounds sustained on July 31st. She was burned to death along with her husband and 18 month old baby, Ali, when right-wing Israelis firebombed her family’s home. Her four-year-old son, Ahmad, was the only one to survive the attack – with third degree burns all over his body.

The attack took place at about 2:30 in the morning, in the village of Douma, in the northern part of the West Bank near the city of Nablus.

The Israeli attackers arrived in the dead of night in the village, and began by spray-painting hate slogans against Palestinians on the Dawabsha family home. They then broke a window and threw a firebomb inside, setting off the fire that killed the baby.

The graffiti, written in Hebrew, included the phrase ‘price tag’, which is a slogan used by right-wing Israeli extremists against Palestinians – the reference being that continued Palestinian existence in the Israeli-occupied West Bank would exact a price from the Israeli colonizers.

Ali’s father Sa’ad Dawabsha, and his mother Reham, 37, were also burned to death. Ali’s older brother, Ahmad, four years of age, suffered third degree burns all over his body but survived the attack.

In May 2020, nearly five years after the attack, one of the Israeli attackers was convicted of murder. The other attackers were not convicted, and still walk free.

Israel’s Lod District Court convicted Israeli settler, Amiram Ben-Uliel for his involvement in the arson attack that resulted in the death of 18-month-old Ali Dawabsha.

Ben-Uliel was involved in the 2015  attack that killed Ali Dawabsha and severely burned his older brother Ahmad and both his parents, Reham and Sa’ad when the settler, with others, threw flaming Molotov cocktails into the family bedroom. Reham and Saad later died of their wounds.
