March 6, 2019: Wa’el Rajabi, 4, died in a fire in Hebron when rescue crews were blocked by the Israeli military from reaching the home before Wa’el and his sister burned alive inside.

The mayor of Hebron, Taysir Abu Sneina, held the Israeli army responsible for the death of two children, who died in a fire in their home, in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, after the military delayed Palestinian fire trucks and Red Crescent ambulances, at two roadblocks in the city.

Spokesperson of the Palestinian Police in the occupied West Bank, Lieutenant Luay Zreiqat, said a child, identified as Wa’el Rajabi, four years old, and his infant sister, Malak, 18 months of age, died in the fire.

One of the wounded Palestinians is a volunteer medic, identified as Fares al-Qedra, who was shot with a gas bomb in the head, east of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza Strip.

Media sources in Gaza said the soldiers fired a barrage of live rounds at random, in addition to firing high-velocity gas bombs against the protesters on Palestinian lands across the eastern parts of the coastal region, in Gaza city, Jabalia, al-Boreij refugee camp, Khan Younis and Rafah, in northern, central and southern Gaza Strip.

Ayman Ahmad Hamed

January 25, 2019: Ayman Ahmad Hamed, 17, was killed by an Israeli sniper stationed in a fortified military tower, who shot the child with a live round in his chest.

The Israeli soldier killed Ayman east of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and wounded another Palestinian, in addition to moderately injuring a young man in ar-Reesan Mountain area, west of Ramallah.

The soldier was stationed in a fortified military tower which was installed by the army near Ein Yabrud nearby village.

After shooting the Palestinian, several soldiers surrounded him, and only later allowed Red Crescent medics to approach him. His corpse was then moved to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.

The soldiers also shot another young man with a live round in his arm, before he was rushed to a hospital.

In related news, the soldiers attacked dozens of nonviolent Palestinian protesters in ar-Reesan Mountain, which belongs to the villages of Ras Karkar, Kafr Ni’ma and Kharbatha Bani Harith, west of Ramallah.

Medical sources said that during the protest, the soldiers shot a young man with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the head, causing a fracture in his skull and brain hemorrhage. His condition was described as moderate; Several Palestinians suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

The Palestinians have been holding ongoing weekly protests in ar-Reesan Mountain since Israel decided to illegally annex it for the construction and expansion of its colonies.

Mohammad Muin al-Jahjouh

December 21, 2018: Mohammad Muin al-Jahjouh,16, was shot and killed by an Israeli army sharpshooter with a live round in the neck while participating in a non-violent protest at the border fence east of Gaza City.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza has confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed three Palestinians, including a child, and a man with a mobility impairment.

In addition to Mohammad, the soldiers shot and killed Maher Atiya Yassin, 40, from the Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza.

It is worth mentioning that Yassin suffered from a physical disability, and was killed east of the nearby al-Boreij refugee camp.

The soldiers also killed Abdul-Aziz Ibrahim Abu Sharia, 28, from the Sabra Neighborhood in Gaza city, after shooting him with a live round in the abdomen, east of Gaza city.

In addition, the troops wounded 115 civilians, including 21 children, 2 women, two journalists and four medics, during the Great Return March processions in the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip.

The soldiers, stationed on sand hills and fortified military towers across the perimeter fence attacked the protesters with dozens of live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, high-velocity gas bombs and concussion grenades, especially on lands east of Gaza city, and east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, east of Jabalia in northern Gaza, in addition to Khan Younis and Rafah, in the southern part of the coastal region.

Hundreds of Palestinians gathered Friday afternoon in several sites along the Gaza-Israel border to protest the ongoing, devastating Israeli siege and border closure of the Gaza Strip. In addition to Mohammad being shot dead by Israeli bullets, 40 others were wounded by live bullets fired by Israeli soldiers into the unarmed crowd.

Among those injured were at least one paramedic and one journalist. In addition to live ammunition, Israeli forces fired tear gas, causing many of the demonstrators to suffer from tear gas inhalation.

One of the participants in the march was Santa Claus, who carried a Palestinian flag and handed out roses to participants.

Live ammunition was used by Israeli forces in at least two of the ‘Great Return March’ sites: Jabaliya, in northern Gaza, and east of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.

Despite the fact that the Israeli military was dozens of meters away from the protesters, with an electrified fence along the border separating the soldiers from the demonstrators, the Israeli army again, as they have each week for months, decided to fire live ammunition into the crowd.

This use of live ammunition against unarmed demonstrators has resulted in more than 250 Palestinian demonstrators being killed in weekly protests that began March 30th, 2018. Such use of deadly force is a direct violation of international law and human rights conventions, but to date, no charges have been brought against the Israeli authorities by the International Court of Justice for their flagrant violation of international law.

No Israeli soldiers have been killed by Palestinian demonstrators participating in the ‘Great March of Return’ that has taken place each Friday since March 30th.

The protests began on Palestinian Land Day, and have continued weekly since March 30th, 2018 – the objective is to demand a return of Palestinian refugees to their land, which was illegally seized by the Israeli government through military force.

They are also demanding that Israel end its siege on Gaza’s air, land and sea, and to open the borders of Gaza that have been sealed since 2007.

Malak Rabah Abu Jazar

October 23, 2018: Malak Rabah Abu Jazar, 4, drowned to death when a boat filled with immigrants capsized off the coast of Bodrum resort town, northwest of Turkey, where she and her parents were trying to flee the conditions in Gaza.

The Turkish Coast Guard has confirmed that the boat capsized near Bodrum, leading to the death of two children.

One of the slain children, identified as Malak Rabah Abu Jazar, only four years of age, is from Rafah city, while several members of her family were injured in the incident.

A day after her death, her cousin, Ehab ‘Aaed Abu Jazar, 4, died at a hospital in Turkey, despite the efforts to save his life, he had excessive amount on water in his lungs.

A second child, a seven-year-old girl,  was also killed in the incident.

The Daily Sabah Newspaper said two children were killed, and eighteen migrants were rescued when the boat, “carrying illegal migrants sank off the Coast of Bodrum, a resort town in southwestern Turkey located near the Greek island of Kos.”

The capsized boat was carrying 34 migrants from various nationalities that were still being verified at the time of this report, while fourteen of them managed to safely swim to the shore.

The migrants boarded the 9-meter-long fiber glass boat just minutes before it started sinking off the beach of Gümbet beach in Bodrum.

The Daily Sabah said locals heard the screams of the migrants and called the police, before Coastal Guards rushed to the area and initiated a rescue campaign.

In a Facebook post, the Abu Jazar family has confirmed Malak’s death, and said that Rabah Abul-Ghani Abu Jazar, and Aa’ed Abdullah Abu Jazar, along with their families, were rescued.

The Turkish coastal police launched an investigation and reportedly detained four suspects, whose identities were not revealed, but are believed to be smugglers helping the migrants sneak out of Turkey and into Greece, Daily Sabah has reported.

It added that the capsized boat had the capacity to carry ten persons, but was instead carrying 34.

The Turkish coastguard is searching for potential survivors, especially since the accounts about the number of people aboard the boat are conflicting.

The Daily Sabah said the fourteen migrants from Somalia, and Palestine, were located in the area, and told the police that they were supposed to be on board the capsized boats, but couldn’t do so because it was already overcrowded before it sailed.
