November 13, 2019: Mahmoud Dahham Hathat, 19, was one of 22 Palestinians killed in Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday November 13th.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that the ongoing Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of 22 Palestinians, raising the number of slain Palestinians to 32 in two days, while more than 100 Palestinians have been injured.

November 13, 2019: Mohammad Abdullah Sharab, 28, was one of 22 Palestinians killed in Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday November 13th, including a father and his two sons killed in the backyard of their home.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that the ongoing Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of 22 Palestinians, raising the number of slain Palestinians to 32 in two days, while more than 100 Palestinians have been injured.

Israeli forces carried out 50 airstrikes and 21 incidents of artillery shells targeting various areas of the Gaza Strip.

The Health Ministry in Gaza said the soldiers killed Mohammad Abdullah Sharab, 28, and Haitham Hafeth al-Bakri, 22, after firing a missile at them in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza. Both are members of the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad.

Two Palestinians were killed, on Wednesday afternoon, when the Israeli army fired missiles into an area east of Gaza city.

A Palestinian father, identified as Rafat Mohammad Awwad, and two of his children, Islam and Amir, were killed, and several others were injured, by Israeli missiles in the Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza city, in an earlier attack, and a fourth was also killed after the army fired a missile at him while driving his motorcycle in the Zeitoun neighborhood, south of Gaza city.

The Health Ministry said the soldiers killed Ala’ Eshteiwi, 32, in the Zeitoun neighborhood, and Khaled Awad Farraj, 38, was killed in the al-Mighraqa area, south of Gaza city, while many Palestinians were injured when the soldiers fired shells into farmlands, in addition to another Palestinian who was injured by Israeli shells in a playground in the Zeitoun neighborhood.

The soldiers also fired many shells into farmlands, east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza Strip, causing damage to surrounding homes.

Damage was also reported to a few homes, east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, when the Israeli air force fired a missile into a nearby land.

Furthermore, an Israeli F16 war jet fired one missile into a site in Sheikh Ejleen area, southwest of Gaza city, causing excessive damage to the site, and several surrounding homes.

The Israeli missiles and shells struck many homes, chicken farms, farmlands, markets for fruits and vegetables, parks near the Gaza sea, in addition to several sites run by armed resistance groups in Gaza, mainly those run by the al-Quds Brigades of the Islamic Jihad.

At least 48 Palestinians homes have been completely or partially damaged, and the army also fired missiles at seven motorcycles.

The strikes targeted various areas of the Gaza Strip but were mainly forced on Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun, in northern Gaza, causing several injuries in addition to Gaza city and its surrounding areas, Khan Younis and Rafah in southern Gaza.

Several farmers were injured and were rushed to local hospitals after the army fired missiles into farmland in Beit Hanoun.

Furthermore, the Israeli army said it destroyed a site, reportedly used for manufacturing long-range rockets, and that the armed groups in Gaza have fired more than 250 shells into Israeli areas.

The spokesperson of the al-Quds Brigades, the army wing of the Islamic Jihad, which is the main target of the Israeli escalation, especially after the army started its latest military strike by assassinating a senior leader of the movement, identified as Baha’ Abu al-Ata, 42, and his wife, Asma’ Mohammad Abu al-‘Ata, 36, in addition to wounding their children, said that its respects the efforts invested by Arab countries to reach a truce, however, it is currently not willing to be part of any mediation talks.

It said that “it is sending a message to Israel, and once we are done with it, there will be a time for talking about calm.”

In another statement, the Brigades said it fired mortars at many Israeli tanks near which gathered near the perimeter fence in the eastern and northern parts of the Gaza Strip.

On its part, the spokesperson of the Israeli army said the current escalation might take several days.

The Palestinians, who were killed Wednesday, including a father and two of his children, have been identified as:

November 12, 2019: Jihad Ayman Ahmad Abu Khater, 22, was one of ten Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on November 12th. More than 45 civilians were wounded in the bombings.

Jihad was killed in a spate of Israeli bombings of the Gaza Strip, on Tuesday afternoon, in which the victims were identified as:

Abdullah Awad Saqib al-Bilbisi, 26
Abdul Salam Ramadan Ahmad, 28
Wael Abdul Aziz Abdullah Abdul Nabi, 43
Rani Fayez Rajab Abu al-Nasr, 35
Jihad Ayman Ahmed Abu Khater, 22

These five, killed in airstrikes on Tuesday afternoon, are in addition to the five killed earlier in the day by Israeli bombs.

Zaki Ghannam, 25, was killed when the Israeli airforce fired missiles targeting several resistance fighters in Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the coastal region. Ibrahim Ahmad ad-Dabous, 23, was also killed in the attack. Ibrahim’s family said he just married just two months ago.

According to local sources, the bombing also led to the injury of three other Palestinians.

The Islamic Jihad said that Zaki was one of its fighters. He was from Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza.

The Israeli army also fired many missiles into several parts of the Gaza Strip, including apartment buildings in Gaza city, and the al-Manara neighborhood in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the coastal region.

Palestinian armed resistance groups in Gaza said they fired more than 150 shells into Israeli areas, including Tel Aviv, Asqalan, Sderot, and Haifa.

Earlier Tuesday, Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian teen, identified as Mohammad Atiyya Hammouda, 18, and seriously injured two others, in Jabalia, in northern Gaza.

The escalation started after the Israeli army assassinated Baha’ Abu al-‘Ata, 42, a senior leader of the Islamic Jihad, after firing missiles at a residential building in Gaza city, also killing his wife, Asma’, and wounding their siblings Salim, Mohammad, Lian, and Fatima az-Zahra’, in addition to their neighbor Hanan Hallas, were injured.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army also attempted to assassinate a senior leader of the Islamic Jihad in the Syrian capital, Damascus, killing two, including his son, and injuring nine others, among them the grandson of the leader.

The al-Mayadeen News Agency has reported that the Israeli Air Force struck the home of Akram al-Ajjouri in Syria with two missiles, killing his son Moath, and wounding his granddaughter. The strike also led to the death of Abdullah Yousef Hasan, and the injury of eight other civilians.

The Islamic Jihad said it fired a barrage of shells into several Israeli areas in retaliation for the Israeli offensive, and that it will not be part of any mediation or truce talks.

One of the shells hit a house in Eshkol regional council, and one hit a house in Sderot, in addition to a highway in the central part of the country.

Israeli missiles struck homes, buildings, and the headquarters of the Independent Commission for Human Rights in Palestine (IHCR), which occupies the fifth, sixth and seventh floors of a multi-story building near the Palestinian Legislative Council in the center of Gaza City.

Local sources report that Israeli F16 bombers continued to circle the skies above Gaza, causing panic and shock for the 2 million residents of the Gaza Strip.

In response to the bombardment, U.S. presidential candidate and former vice president Joe Biden issued a statement on Twitter in which he did not mention the 10 Palestinians killed and 45 wounded, but condemned instead the Palestinian resistance for firing rockets into Israel which caused no casualties, saying “Israel has a right to defend itself against terrorist threats. It is intolerable that Israeli civilians live their lives under the constant fear of rocket attacks.”
