June 24, 2023: Tareq Mohammad Khalil Idrees, 39, died from serious wounds suffered a day earlier after Israeli soldiers shot him in Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
The Health Ministry confirmed Tareq’s death and said the soldiers shot and seriously injured Friday when the army invaded Nablus, Askar refugee camp, and several surrounding areas.
The Health Ministry said the soldiers shot Tareq with live rounds in the abdomen and added that the medics rushed him to the Specialized Arab Hospital in Nablus due to gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
The Health Ministry added that Tareq underwent surgery but remained in a serious condition until he succumbed to his wounds.
The Palestinian was seriously injured when dozens of soldiers invaded Nablus on Friday dawn, leading to massive protests and exchanges of fire with Palestinian resistance fighters.
