Rami Awartani, 31, was killed by Israeli soldiers near the Huwwara military roadblock, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, after they alleged he ran towards them carrying a knife, while Palestinian eyewitnesses said the several soldiers shot him in the chest after dragging him out of his car. Saed Adnan Jneid

July 26, 2016: Saed ‘Adnan Rizeq Jneid, 25, was injured by Israeli shells fired into in Jabalia in the northern part of the Gaza Strip and died two years later of his wounds.

The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories (B’Tselem) said Saed was serious injured by a tank shell that was fired by the army in Jabalia, in northern Gaza Strip.

Saed was from Beit Lahia, also in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. Source: B’Tselem

: Mustafa Mohammad Baradeyya, 50, was killed by Israeli soldiers reportedly after he stabbed and mildly injured two soldiers at the entrance of the al-Arroub refugee camp, south of the southern West Bank city of Hebron. His brother Ibrahim, 54, was killed by the army on April 14, 2016. Mustafa was from al-Arroub. Source: IMEMC

Saleh al-Astal

July 18, 2016: Saleh al-Astal, 28, was killed when a border tunnel collapsed on him, in the town of Al-Qarara, in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, said the Palestinian was one of its fighters, and that he was working in the tunnel, along with other Palestinians, when it collapsed.

Medical sources in Khan Younis said First Responders managed to locate al-Astal’s body, and rescued three other Palestinians, who suffered various injuries.

Many tunnels spread across the border fence in the Gaza Strip; while some are used by armed groups such as Hamas, most tunnels are used for smuggling food, goods and medicines into the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip.

Hundreds of Palestinians were killed, and injured, in numerous tunnel accident across the border fence in Gaza.

Most of them were civilians who resorted to working in the dangerous tunnels to provide for their families, suffering under a tight siege, and repeated Israeli wars on the Gaza Strip. Saleh was from Khan Younis. Source: IMEMC

Michael “Miki” Mark, 48, was killed by a Palestinian gunman while driving in south Mount Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank. His car was overtaken by another vehicle and came under gunfire. His wife, Chava, was critically wounded, and two of their children, Pedaya, 15, and Tehilla, 14, suffered moderate and light wounds. Michael was from Otniel settlement, south of Hebron. Source: Haaretz

Taiseer Mohammad Habash, 50, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired many gas bombs at Palestinians trying to enter Jerusalem to pray in Al-Aqsa. The man died due to severe effects of tear gas inhalation after the soldiers prevented the medics from reaching him, and fired many gas bombs and rubber-coated metal bullets, wounding at least forty Palestinians. Taiseer was from ‘Aseera ash-Shamaliyya, north of Nablus. Source: IMEMC

Sara Ata Tarayra Jahjouh

Sara Daoud Tarayra, 27, was killed by an Israeli soldier near the Ibrahimi mosque in Hebron city, in the southern part of the West Bank, after she reportedly tried to stab a soldier. Eyewitnesses said Sara, who was also pregnant, was sprayed with pepper spray by a female soldier who was searching her and ran to avoid being exposed to more toxins before the soldiers shot her.
