Mohammad ‘Atiya Hammouda

November 12, 2019: Mohammad ‘Atiya Hammouda, 18, was killed by an Israeli airstrike in Jabalia, in the northern part of the coastal region.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that one Palestinian was killed, and two others were seriously injured, when an Israeli war jet fired a missile at their motorcycle. They were rushed to the Indonesian Hospital, in northern Gaza.

The Israeli Air Force also fired missiles into a site in Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza, and an apartment , southwest of Gaza city, causing damage.

Earlier Tuesday, the soldiers assassinated a senior leader of the Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip, identified as Baha’ Abu al-‘Ata, 42, and his wife Asma’ Abu al-Ata, after firing missiles at a residential building in Gaza city.

Their siblings, Salim, Mohammad, Lian, and Fatima az-Zahra’, in addition to their neighbor Hanan Hallas, were injured.

The ongoing Israeli bombardment led to property damage to various homes and buildings, including a school run by the United Nations Relief and Work Agency (UNRWA).

The Islamic Jihad and other armed resistance groups fired many shells into Israeli areas in retaliation to the Israeli escalation.

Israeli sources said at least 60 shells were fired from Gaza into various areas, including Gush Dan, Ashdod, and south of Tel Aviv, after the assassination of the Islamic Jihad leader.

Furthermore, the Israeli Air Force carried out several airstrikes targeting a senior leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Syrian capital, Damascus, killing two, including his son, and injuring nine others, including his grandson.

The al-Mayadeen News Agency has reported that the Israeli Air Force struck the home of Akram al-Ajjouri with two missiles, killing his son Moath, and wounding his granddaughter. The strike also led to the death of Abdullah Yousef Hasan, and the injury of eight other civilians.

Attaf Abed-Rabbo Saleh

Attaf SalehSeptember 9, 2018: Attaf Abed-Rabbo Saleh, 32, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers near the border fence between Gaza and Israel, in the Abu Safiyya area east of Jabalia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army claimed the Palestinian was killed by the soldiers while trying to breach the perimeter fence. After killing Attaf, the soldiers abducted three Palestinians from the same area.

The Israeli military claimed that the young men they abducted were carrying knives. They were taken to an interrogation facility where they were subjected to harsh interrogation techniques by the Israeli soldiers.

After shooting Attaf, the soldiers crossed the fence and advanced a few meters into Gaza, before taking him, and the other Palestinians. It’s unclear whether Attaf was still alive when the soldiers dragged his limp body across the rocky ground. The army later issued a statement that Attaf died from his wounds.

Medical sources in Gaza said Palestinian medics tried to reach the seriously wounded young man, but the soldiers opened fire at them, preventing them from even approaching him.

Majd Soheil ‘Oqeil

Majd OqeilJuly 22, 2018: Majd Soheil Mohammad ‘Oqeil, 26, died from serious wounds he suffered on May 14th, when Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire in northern Gaza.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said that Majd was shot during the “Great Return March” nonviolent protests, on May 14th, and remained in critical condition until he succumbed to his wounds.

Israeli soldiers have killed 142 unarmed protesters, and wounded 17,000 who were participating in non-violent protests, since the Great Return March procession started on Palestinian Land Day, on March 30th.

In a report, Defense For Children International (DCI) has reported that Israeli soldiers have killed 25 Palestinian children, 21 of them in the Gaza Strip, since the beginning of this year.

On the same day that Majd died,  July 22, a young Palestinian man, identified as Karam Ibrahim Arafat, 26, died from serious wounds he suffered on June 8th, when Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

On the same day, during pre-dawn hours, the soldiers invaded Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, and killed a child, identified as Akram Tha’er Mizhir, 15.

Mohammad Na’im Hamada

June 03, 2018: Mohammad Na’im Hamada, 30, succumbed to serious wounds he suffered, on May 14, after Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire east of Gaza city, during the Great Return March.

Hamamda was rushed to a Palestinian hospital in Gaza.

His condition apparently witnessed a brief partial recovery, a few days before his death, and celebrated his daughter’s sixth birthday from his hospital bed, but later suffered another serious deterioration, and died from his wounds.

On Friday, June 03, the soldiers killed a volunteer medic, identified as Razan Ashraf Najjar, and injured 100 others, including 40 with live fire.

On Wednesday, May 30, a young man, identified as Naji Maisara Abdullah Ghneim, 23, succumbed to serious wounds he suffered when was shot by an Israeli soldier stationed across the border fence, east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, a few days earlier.

The young man was moved to a hospital in Gaza, and then to another hospital in Jerusalem, due to the seriousness of his condition, but succumbed to his wounds.

The Health Ministry said the soldiers have killed 120 Palestinians, and injured more than 14000, including 330 who suffered life-threatening wounds. Hamamda was from Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza. Source: IMEMC

Atef al-Maqousi

November 8, 2017: Atef al-Maqousi, 37, died from complications resulting from serious wounds he suffered in 1992, after Israeli soldiers shot him in his spine.

The Palestinian suffered from quadriplegia as a result of his injury, when the soldiers shot him with live fire in Jabalia refugee camp, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

Following his serious gunshot injury and the resulting quadriplegia, the Palestinian suffered ongoing infections, and repeated serious complications that eventually led to his death, medical source said.

Aa’ed Jom’a

June 9, 2017: Aa’ed Khamis Jom’a, 35, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired live rounds and gas bombs at Palestinian protesters on Palestinian lands near the border fence east of Jabalia in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

Aa’ed was shot with a live round in the head and instantly died from his wounds before his corpse was moved to the Indonesian Hospital in nearby Beit Lahia city.

Eyewitnesses said that Israeli soldiers stationed on military towers across the border fence fired dozens of live rounds and gas bombs at the protesters, who were marching near the border fence, and added that the army also used drones.

The al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, issued a statement mourning Jom’a as one of its members. There have been no armed clashes during the Israeli attack, and none of the protesters, including the slain Palestinian, carried a weapon.

Another Palestinian was also shot with a live round in his leg, after the soldiers attacked protesters in Palestinian lands, east of Gaza city.

Dozens of Palestinians suffered the effects of teargas inhalation after the soldiers, stationed in the Nahal Oz military base, east of Sheja’eyya neighborhood, in the eastern part of Gaza city, across the fence, fired gas bombs into Palestinian lands.
