July 08, 2014: Seraj Iyad Abdel ‘Al, 7, was killed by an Israeli drone that fired a missile at a three-story house belonging to Odeh Ahmed Kaware’, in Jurat al-Lout area in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. The building housed five families and many neighbors who fled their homes after being targeted by Israeli missiles. Nine Palestinians, including six children, were killed in Kaware’ family home, and 28 others, including children, were injured. Seraj was from Khan Younis. Source: Mezan Center for Human Rights
Wedad Deeb
February 27, 2014: Wedad Deeb, 71, died while waiting at the Israeli side of the Erez crossing between Gaza and Israel as she was on her way to a West Bank hospital to get medical treatment. Widad was from Gaza. Source: Al-Ray
Angham Sharif al-Namla
August 01, 2014: Angham Sharif al-Namla, 11, was killed after Israeli soldiers fired two missiles at her and her family, while fleeing from their home in the al-Tanour neighborhood, east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
Angham was killed along with her brother, Yousef Sharif al-Namla, 25, and Yousef’s wife Walaa’ Jamal al-Namla, 24.
The Israeli missiles also injured six other family members, including a woman and four children, in addition to causing damage to several homes.
Among the wounded Palestinians were Israa’, 19, whose both legs were amputated, her husband, Wa’el, whose left leg had to be amputated, and their 2-year-old daughter, Abeer, who suffered severe burns.
Israa was transferred to a hospital in Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, while her husband was transferred to a hospital in Jerusalem.
Wael’s sister, Shahed, 10, was badly burned but remained conscious after the attack, and tried to wake Walaa’, but she was already dead. Shahed became deeply traumatized and refuses to walk in the streets.
At least seventy-three Palestinians, including more than sixteen children, were killed by Israeli missiles and shells that day alone, in different parts of the Gaza Strip. Angham was from Rafah. Source: Mezan Center for Human Rights, IMEMC
Sawsan Ibrahim Al-Kilani
July 21, 2014: Sawsan Ibrahim Al-Kilani, 10, was killed by Israeli missiles fired into the ten-story Al-Salam residential building in Omar al-Mokhtar Street area, in Gaza City.
The bombarded building was destroyed.
Several families sought shelter in the building after the army issued warnings for them to leave their homes and neighborhoods, in Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
The families rushed to seek shelter in city centers, as the soldiers were preparing to bombard them.
The Israeli army claimed it was targeting Sha’ban al-Dahdouh, 30, a member of the Islamic Jihad in Gaza.
The attack led to the death of eleven Palestinians, including her father, mother, sister and three brothers, in addition to three other women.
The family held German citizenships, as the father lived there for twenty years, while two of his children who were born there, remained in Germany.
