August 26, 2016: Eyad Zakariyya Hamed, 36, was killed by Israeli soldiers in Silwad town, east of Ramallah in the West Bank. The soldiers claimed he approached a military roadblock and refused to heed to their demand to stop, and that he “opened fire at the post.” The army later retracted its allegation and confirmed the man was unarmed.
