Mohammad Farid Hasan

Mohammad HassanJuly 3rd, 2021: Mohammad Farid Ali Hasan, 21, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers, while another 25 Palestinians were injured, in the southern area of Qusra, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Media sources in Nablus said many illegal Israeli colonialist settlers and soldiers attacked the southern area of the town, leading to protests.

Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official who monitors Israel’s illegal colonialist activities in northern West Bank, said the invasion led to protests, and that the soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at the residents and their homes.

He added that one Palestinian, identified as Mohammad Farid Ali Hasan, 21, was shot with a live round in the chest while standing on the rooftop of his home, and died from his serious wounds.

Ahmad Jibril, the head of the Emergency Department at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Nablus, said the soldiers also shot 13 Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets and caused at least twelve to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

In related news, the soldiers caused 67 Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation during protests on their land in Sbeih Mountain, in Beita town, south of Nablus.

The Israeli army is trying to stop the ongoing processions carried out by the Palestinians, including nighty protests, which have been ongoing since the illegal Israeli colonialist settlers, occupied the mountain top and installed an outpost in early May of this year.

On Friday, June 11th, the soldiers killed a child, identified as Mohammad Sa’id Hamayel, 15, after shooting him with a live round in the heart, and injured more than 110 Palestinians, including 11 who were shot with live rounds, after the army attacked nonviolent protesters in Jabal Abu Sbeih mountain.

Ala’ Khaled Mohammad Zahran

Ala ZahranJune 22, 2021: Ala’ Khaled Mohammad Zahran, 37, was killed by Israeli paramilitary settlers in Nablus, in the northern West Bank.

After a Palestinian security officer was killed, on Tuesday at dawn, security sources stated the man was killed by Israeli colonialist settlers, however, the Palestinian Authority is investigating whether his death could be attributed to a crime rather than the conflict.

The Palestinian Internal Security and other security devices are trying to ascertain whether the man was killed by the colonists, especially after reports of Israeli colonist settlers opening fire at him or his car, before he was assaulted, or if his murder is criminally motivated.

The Internal Security is not ruling out that his death was carried out by colonialist settlers, but stated it is also pursuing several other leads.

Initially, Palestinian security sources said the man, Ala’ Khaled Mohammad Zahran, 37, was ambushed and killed by colonialist settlers, but are now trying to ascertain other related factors that could alter this conclusion.

The investigations are still ongoing.

It is worth mentioning that Zahran was ambushed and lynched near Deir Sharaf, west of Nablus in northern West Bank. The slain officer is from Nablus, also in northern West Bank.

Ahmad Zahi Shamsa

June 17th, 2021: Ahmad Zahi Daoud Bani Shamsa, 16, was shot and killed by Israeli forces in his hometown of Beita village, in the northern West bank.

He was shot during a protest on Wednesday June 16th, and he died of his wounds on Thursday morning.

The child, identified as Ahmad Zahi Daoud Bani Shamsa, age 16, was taken to Rafidia Governmental Hospital, where he underwent an operation, but the doctors were unable to save his life.

The Head of the emergency department at the Palestinian Red Crescent in Nablus, Ahmad Jibril, told Palestinian reporters that the youth was taken to hospital with serious live gunshot wounds to the head.

It is noteworthy that this boy is the fourth Palestinian who was shot and killed by the Israeli military this year at protests at Jabal Sabih in Beita. The protests are challenging the Israeli development of an illegal Israeli settlement on stolen Palestinian land on Sabih mountain.

In addition to Ahmad, three men were killed in the village by the Israeli military in May: Karim Maher Abdel Hamid Hamayel (28 years), Tariq Sanubar (27 years), and Issa Barham (42 years).

Speaking to Anadolu Agency, one witness of the shooting said that it took place during protests by residents of the town of Beita. They were voicing opposition to the establishment of a settlement outpost on their land in Jabal Sabih.

No Israeli military investigation has been launched, and no officers have been charged in the killing of these four Palestinian civilians in the village of Beita.

Mai Affana

June 16th, 2021: Dr. Mai Affana, 29, was shot and killed by Israeli forces while she was in her car at the entrance to Hizma town, northeast of occupied East Jerusalem.

Israeli forces opened fire at Afaneh, who was a doctor, and the mother of an eight-year-old girl, when she drove her vehicle down a road that was under construction, at the entrance to Hizma town. Local sources reported that Afaneh apparently had accidentally driven her vehicle down the wrong road and was trying to turn around when she was shot.

The army claimed that the slain woman attempted to ram her car into a number of Israeli soldiers before exiting the vehicle with a knife” the Anadolu Agency reported.

But the Israeli authorities offered no evidence to back their claim. The claim also goes against the forensic evidence showing that Mai was in her car when she was shot and killed.

On Friday, July 16th, Palestinians held a peaceful protest in Abu Dis town, on the one month anniversary of Mai’s killing, demanding the Israeli occupation authorities hand over her body to her family.

Her body had been withheld by the army since she was shot and killed near Hizma town on June 16, 2021.

Ibtisam Khaled Ka’abna

June 12, 2021: Ibtisam Khaled Ka’abna, 28, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers at the Qalandia Terminal, north of occupied Jerusalem, after she allegedly attempted to attack them.

The Palestinian Detainees Committee has reported that the slain woman, Ibtisam Khaled Ka’abna, 28, is a former political prisoner, who was abducted in the year 2015 and was imprisoned for 18 months.

Her brother, Khaled Mohammad Ka’abna, stated that the soldiers shot his sister at the terminal, and left her bleeding on the ground without any medical attention until she succumbed to her wounds.

Khaled added that his slain sister is a married mother of one child.

Israeli sources claimed that the woman “was yielding a knife”, while the “Times of Israel” alleged she “ran towards the soldiers while brandishing a knife.” No soldiers were hurt in the alleged attack.

Videos from the scene show the woman far away from any soldier when she was shot. Palestinian analysts point out that even if she had been holding a knife (which may or may not have been the case), the soldiers had the option to injure her at least instead of delivering fatal shots and leaving her without medical treatment until she bled to death.

Fadi Sadiq Mousa Washha

June 2, 2021: Fadi Sadiq Mousa Washha, 34, died of wounds sustained two weeks prior when he was shot in the head by Israeli soldiers while participating in a protest in solidarity with the people of Gaza, where bombs were raining down, killing whole families crushed under the rubble of their homes.

He was near the northern entrance to Al-Biereh, in the Ramallah district, when Israeli soldiers invading the village shot him twice in the head. He was rushed to the hospital and into surgery, and was in the intensive care unit until his death on Wednesday June 2nd.

He had suffered a lot throughout his entire life, ever since he was a child, at the hands of the Israeli occupation, sustaining bullet injuries and undergoing numerous arrests. Fadi had spent 8 years in Israeli prisons, and his young cousin was also murdered by the Israeli occupation several years ago.

The number of Palestinians killed during the Israeli aggression rose to 255, including 66 children and 39 women; among the dead are seventeen elderly and five with special needs.

Over 50,000 people were driven from their homes during the Israeli bombardment.

Now that the bombing has temporarily ceased, the Palestinians of Gaza remain trapped within the open-air prison of the Gaza Strip, in which 2.4 million Palestinians live crowded together in harsh economic conditions due to an Israeli siege that has been in place for fourteen years.
