Nahed Abu Rjela

August 04, 2014: Nahed Helmi Abu Rjela, 38, died from serious wounds she suffered on July 23rd, 2014, after the Israeli army fired three missiles at her father’s homes, in Khuza’a town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Her father, Helmi Mohammad Abu Rjela, 67, was also killed and his body was found under the rubble on August 3rd, while the corpse of her brother, Abbas, 19, was found on August 11th, due to the extensive and ongoing Israeli bombardment, and ground invasion, which led to the destruction of dozens of homes.

Nahed and her mother, Siham, 57, were rescued by the neighbors, who were unable to transfer them out of the town until the next day, due to the Israeli ground invasion, but Nahed died from her serious wounds.

The extensive Israeli bombardment and shelling into various parts of the Gaza Strip, led to the death of at least 62 Palestinians that day, July 23rd. Nahed was referred to an Egyptian hospital, where she died from her serious wounds. Nahed was from Khuza’a. Source: Mezan Center for Human Rights

Mahmoud Zaki al-Lahham

August 04, 2014: Mahmoud Zaki al-Lahham, 25, was killed by Israeli missiles that struck many homes and buildings in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, despite a unilateral seven-hour truce declared by Israel. At least thirty Palestinians, including children were killed that day, and dozens were injured, some suffered life-threatening wounds and others were buried under the rubble of bombarded homes. Among the 30 Palestinians was Ibtisam Ibrahim al-Bakri, 37, her daughters Asil, 7, and Asma’, 3 months, and her son Kamal, 3, in addition to her relative Ramadan Ahmed al-Bakri, 33, while dozens of Palestinians, including children, were injured. Salah Ahmad al-Ghouti

August 04, 2014: Salah Ahmad al-Ghouti, 22, was killed by Israeli missiles that struck many homes and buildings in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, despite a unilateral seven-hour truce declared by Israel. Amal Amjad Uweida

August 04, 2014: Amal Amjad Uweida, 5, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fried one missile from a drone targeting the house of her grandfather Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Hadi Uweida, in the al-Brazil neighborhood in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, also leading to the death of her brother Mohammed, 13. The family first left their home due to the intensity of Israeli bombardment, and relocated to Tal al-Sultan neighborhood, but approximately 15 minutes after they returned home, the property was struck by the Israeli missile, while they were on the rooftop. Mahmoud Ashraf al-Khalili

August 04, 2014: Mahmoud Ashraf al-Khalili, 7, died from serious wounds he suffered on July 30, 2014, when Israeli soldiers fired two tank shells at the house of Mohammed Ata al-Khalili, in the al-Sanafour area, in the at-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza city.

His father, Ashraf, 33, his mother, Nedaa, 27, and his brother, Ziyad, 2, were killed instantly by the Israeli shells.

His uncle, Ahmad Mahmoud al-Khalili, 28, along with his wife, Aya Mohammed al-Khalili, 23, and their daughter, Lama Ahmed al-Khalili, 4, were also killed in the same attack.

The family was waiting to be evacuated from the area due to the heavy Israeli shelling and bombardment of various neighborhoods in Gaza.

At least 110 Palestinians, including many children and women, were killed by Israeli missiles and shells that day alone, in different parts of the Gaza Strip.

Ibrahim Mohammed al-Mashharawi

August 04, 2014: Ibrahim Mohammed al-Mashharawi, 30, was killed by Israeli missiles fired at a three-story home belonging to Ahmad Kamal al-Bakri and his family, in the Shaty’ refugee camp, in western Gaza, also leading to the death of Ibtisam Ibrahim al-Bakri, 37, her daughters Asil, 7, and Asma’, 3 months, and her son, Kamal, 3, who died from his wounds a day later, in addition to Ramadan Ahmed al-Bakri, 33, an acquaintance of the family who was visiting them. 35 Palestinians, including 14 children and 8 women, were injured, and two nearby homes, belonging to Ayyad and Abu Touha families, were also damaged in the strike that was carried out during a unilateral truce announced by Israel.
