December 12, 2018: Majd Mteir, 26, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers in Jerusalem, in the Old City, after he reportedly stabbed and injured two Israeli police officers.

Israeli sources said two officers of the Border Guards Unit suffered mild wounds, “when the Palestinian stabbed them, before he was shot dead.”

They added that one of the wounded officers, a 19-year-old policewoman, suffered a moderate injury, and was moved to Hadassah Ein Karem Medical Center, in Jerusalem, where her condition improved and was described as mild.

Majd was shot with several live rounds, and succumbed to his wounds shortly afterwards.

Following the incident, dozens of soldiers and officers were deployed in the Old City, and installed many roadblocks, preventing the Palestinians from leaving their homes, especially as many Muslims were heading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, for dawn prayers.

The soldiers also stopped many Palestinian journalists and prevented them from entering the area.

Ahmad Yasser Abu ‘Aabed

December 11, 2018: Ahmad Yasser Sabri Abu ‘Aabed, 4, died from serious wounds he suffered when Israeli soldiers shot him in the eye with an expanding bullet, on Friday, December 7, 2018, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Health Ministry said the soldiers shot the child with expanding bullets, one in his eye, and one in his abdomen, causing very serious wounds. Ahmad was rushed to a hospital in Khan Younis, underwent a surgery, and remained in a critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit, until he succumbed to his wounds.

According to a report by Defense for Children International, Ahmad was in his father’s arms around 3:30 p.m. when he was struck by shrapnel as Israeli forces opened fire on protesters in Khan Younis, Gaza Strip, on December 7. Ahmad sustained injuries to his head, chest and abdomen which caused his death.

“Suddenly, I heard the sound of a gunshot fired by one of the soldiers and I heard the sound of something exploding in front of me,” said the child’s father. “At this moment, Ahmad screamed. I looked at Ahmad and found blood coming down from his right eye and chest and his shirt was torn.”

Ahmad was treated at the European hospital in Khan Younis, according to the child’s family. An MRI revealed that shrapnel had entered Ahmad’s brain through his eye. He was held in the intensive care unit until Tuesday, when doctors pronounced him dead.

On Monday, the soldiers shot eleven Palestinians, including one medic, during the 19th weekly 19th protest against the Israeli naval blockade on the coastal Strip.

On the day of Ahmad’s serious injury, Friday December 7, 2018, the 37th Friday of the Great March of Return and Breaking the Siege on Gaza, the soldiers shot 72 Palestinian civilians, including 11 children and 2 paramedics.

Omar Hasan al-‘Awawda

December 11, 2018: Omar Hasan al-‘Awawda, 27, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers  while driving his car in Ethna town, west of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, after he reportedly “failed to stop for inspection.”

The head of the Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, Dr. Yousef Takrouri, said the soldiers shot Omar with several live rounds in his back.

He added that Red Crescent medics rushed the young man to the hospital in critical condition, but he succumbed to his serious wounds.

The Israeli army claimed that the soldiers opened fire at the car, after its driver “failed to stop for inspection,” and “endangered the lives of the soldiers.”

Army officials alleged that the Palestinians tried to ram employees of the “Civil Administration Office,” and Border Guard officers, who were operating in the town.

Mohammad Husam Habali

December 4, 2018: Mohammad Husam Abdul-Latif Habali, 22, a mentally-disabled young man, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers who were  invading the northern West bank city of Tulkarem.

Dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded Tulkarem refugee camp, and Tulkarem city, in the northern West Bank, at dawn. They killed a mentally disabled Palestinian, and injured several others.

Media sources said the soldiers fired live ammunition, killing Mohammad and wounding another young man.

They added that the soldiers shot Mohammad, who was mentally disabled, from a very close range, and that he died almost instantly, from gunshot wounds to his head and limbs.

The soldiers also injured several Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets, and caused many others to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

It is worth mentioning that dozens of soldiers, many of them in jeeps and others on foot, invaded several neighborhoods in the refugee camp, and Tulkarem city, mainly in the Western Neighborhood, and fired dozens of live rounds and gas bombs on protesters who gathered to challenge the military invasion.

The protesters were unarmed, and faced the invading military weaponless, chanting and telling the soldiers to be ashamed of what they were doing and to go home.

The soldiers invaded and ransacked many homes, causing excessive damage, and interrogated several Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

Eyad Yousef Suleiman

November 28, 2018: Eyad Yousef Suleiman, 25, died from serious wounds he suffered during the Israeli war on Gaza, in the summer of 2014.

The Ministry of Health said the young man, Eyad Yousef Suleiman, 25, was injured during the extensive Israeli bombardment and shelling, and died from serious complications.

On November 3. 2018, a Palestinian child, identified as Mohammad Nasr al-Reefy, 14, died from serious wounds he suffered on August 21, 2014.

Medical sources said the child suffered injuries and shrapnel all over his body, including a piece in his spine, resulting in quadriplegia and various health complications.

The Israeli missile instantly killed the child’s brother Omar Nasr Ziad ar-Reefy, 4, and their father Nasr Ziad ar-Reefy, 35, in addition to his cousin, Abdullah Tareq ar-Reefy, 7, and Abdullah’s brother Ziad, 13, along with their father, Mohammad Ziad Abed-Rabbo ar-Reefy, 28.

The Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights said the soldiers killed at least 2218 Palestinians during the 51-day Israeli offensive on the coastal region, while dozens later died from their serious wounds.

Around 84% of the slain Palestinians were civilians, including hundreds of children.

Al-Mezan stated that the Israeli bombardment and shelling of Palestinian homes, residential buildings and structures, resulted in wiping out entire families, while dozens of families lost multiple members. According to UN OCHA, 142 families lost 3 members or more in the Israeli attacks.

Ramzi Abu Yabis

November 26, 2018: Ramzi Abu Yabis, 32, was killed by Israeli soldiers near the entrance of Beit Ummar town, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, after the army claimed that he “deliberately rammed soldiers with his car”, wounding three.

Abu Yabis, a former political prisoner, was a nurse who worked at Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation, in Beit Jala city, north of Bethlehem.

Israeli sources said one soldier suffered a moderate wound, and two others were mildly injured, in what the army called a “deliberate car ramming attack,” before the soldiers shot and killed the driver.

In a statement, the army said the incident took place on Route 60, in an area where road work is taking place, and added that the soldiers were moved to an Israeli hospital for treatment.

The PRCS stated that one of its ambulance rushed to the scene before its medics started providing treatment to Ramzi Abu Yabis, and tried to move him to a hospital, but the army stopped their ambulance. An Israeli soldier looked at a cardiograph machine hooked to the Palestinian, and said, “He is dead, we are taking his body.”  The soldiers then took the severely wounded man from the ambulance, placed his corpse in a black bag, and took it away.

It is worth mentioning that the soldiers also asked the Palestinian medics for two neck braces, which were given to them.

Mohammad Sami al-Ja’bari, the deputy-head of the Emergency Department at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Hebron, told the Maan News Agency in a phone interview, that the PRCS received a call regarding a traffic accident near Beit Ummar, before the medics rushed to the scene.

“After arriving there, the medics took the wounded Palestinian out of his car, and connected him to a cardiograph machine,” Al-Ja’bari said, “But the army stopped the ambulance, and took him away – we were not informed about any Israeli injuries until the soldiers asked us for neck braces.”

It should be noted that Israeli forces frequently misclassify vehicle collisions between Palestinian and Israeli vehicles as ‘deliberate ramming attacks’, when many are likely accidents.

Abdul-Rahman Ali Abu Jamal

November 20, 2018: Abdul-Rahman Ali Abu Jamal, 17, died from serious wounds he suffered on Wednesday November 14, 2018, allegedly after attempting to stab Israeli officers at a police station in occupied East Jerusalem.

The Palestinian, identified as Abdul-Rahman Ali Abu Jamal, 17, from Jabal al-Mokabber, allegedly climbed the fence of a police station, and attacked the officers stationed there.

An Israeli policewoman shot Jamal multiple times at the police station, which was built on Palestinian lands in Jabal al-Mokabber, seriously wounding him, and causing minor injuries to another police officer.

Abu Jamal was moved to Shaare Zedek Medical Center, in Jerusalem, and remained in a critical condition until he succumbed to his wounds.

Israeli sources claimed that three officers were lightly wounded in the same incident, and added that the medics “gave them first aid and took them to the hospital, fully conscious and in stable condition, and released them shortly after being admitted.”

It is worth mentioning that, after in incident, dozens of soldiers and police officers repeatedly invaded Abu Jamal’s home, and detained five members of his family, including his mother, and took photos and measurements of the home, to demolish it later.

Nawwaf Ahmad al-Attar

November 14, 2018: Nawwaf Ahmad al-Attar, 20, was shot and killed by Israeli naval forces while fishing on his fishing boat in Palestinian territorial waters, in northern Gaza.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, said the navy fired many live rounds at the fishing boats, killing Nawwaf.

The slain fisherman was killed in Palestinian waters, west of Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza. Al-Attar was from al-Atatra area in Beit Lahia.

His death brings the number of Palestinians, killed by Israeli army fire and shells, since last Saturday, to fourteen.

One of them, identified as Akram Yousef Ma’rouf, 29, was killed on Tuesday evening, by a missile fired from an Israeli drone, into the Shaima’ area, in Beit Lahia.

It is worth mentioning that the Palestinian Minister of Public Works and Housing, Mofeed al-Hasayneh, has reported that the Israeli shelling and bombardment in the Gaza Strip, since Sunday, has caused destruction and damage to hundreds of buildings and structures.

He said that eight residential apartment buildings were destroyed, 50 were partially but seriously damaged, and 750 sustained light to moderate damage, and added that most of the targeted buildings are in the Gaza governorate.

The Israeli shells and missiles struck homes, the headquarters of Al-Aqsa TV, Ar-Rahma residential building, Al-Amal Hostel, Palestine Academy for Science and Technology, Ansar Governmental Center, a building owned by al-Yaziji family, in addition to many other buildings, structures and infrastructure sites.

Khaled Akram Ma’rouf

November 13, 2018: Khaled Akram Yousef Ma’rouf, 29, was killed by an Israeli missile in the Shaima’ area, in Beit Lahia.

An Israeli military drone fired, on Tuesday evening, a missile at Palestinians in the Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, killing one and wounding two others.  Five Palestinians were also injured in Rafah and Khan Younis.

The dead and wounded were all moved to the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia.

In addition, an Israeli drone fired a missile at Palestinians near the al-‘Aqqad School, east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, wounding two young men, before they were rushed to Abu Yousef Najjar Hospital in the city.

Furthermore, the army fired missiles at an area which the Army claimed was a center for an armed resistance group in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, wounding three Palestinians, and causing damage to the building.

Since Saturday, the Israeli military has killed thirteen Palestinians, and injured dozens, in the Gaza Strip.

Khaled Riyad Sultan

November 13, 2018: Khaled Riyad Ahmad Sultan, 26, was killed by an Israeli airstrike while working on his own farmland, in the Salateen area, west of Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza.

He was one of three Palestinians killed on November 13th by Israeli airstrikes. Dozens of people were injured in a series of air strikes targeting residential buildings, lands and structures, in various parts of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli missiles severely mutilated the remains of the slain Palestinians, and caused various injuries and burns to at least three others.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, said that the soldiers also killed Mos’ab Hos, 20, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Malaka area, east of the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza city.

Their deaths bring the number of Palestinians, killed by Israeli army and shells in Gaza, in less than two days, to six, while dozens have been injured, some seriously.

Furthermore, the soldiers injured at least two Palestinians after the army fired missiles into an area near a local mosque, east of Rafah, in southern Gaza.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army carried out many strikes in several parts of the Gaza Strip, causing excessive property damage, including many buildings and roads.

An Israeli fighter-jet fired missiles into a residential building in the densely-populated ar-Rimal neighborhood, in the center of Gaza city.

The building, owned by members of the al-Yaziji family, was completely leveled to the ground, while many surrounded homes and properties were damaged.

The escalation came hours after the army targeted many residential neighborhoods, and various buildings, including government-run facilities, and a hotel west of Gaza city.
