The Israeli army said two of its soldiers were injured during exchanges of fire with Palestinian fighters in Nablus.

The massacre took place when several armored Israeli military vehicles invaded the Old City of Nablus, Palestinians in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, and opened fire with live ammunition on the crowds of Palestinian civilians that were in the area.

The soldiers were opening fire at the Palestinians from small openings in their heavily armored jeeps that barely fit the barrel of the automatic rifles.

Media sources said the soldiers surrounded a home in the Sheikh Mosallam neighborhood to abduct several Palestinians, leading to protests, and exchanges of fire between the army and Palestinian resistance fighters in the Old City and surrounding areas.

The soldiers fired a barrage of live ammunition, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at the Palestinians protesting the invasion and also targeted journalists and medics with live fire.

The wounded journalists are Omar Istaitiyah, who suffered a bullet fragment wound to the ear, Mohammad Khatib, who was shot in the arm, and Ahmad Khalaf, who suffered the severe effects of tear gas inhalation.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the soldiers encircled the home and surrounding area and prevented its medics from reaching the wounded to be able to provide medical care.

The denial of medics is a direct violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention – but despite this fact, Israeli soldiers frequently prevent medics from reaching wounded Palestinians.

Israeli sources said the soldiers and undercover officers invaded Nablus to abduct a “wanted Palestinian” and added that the Palestinian that they were pursuing was shot while fleeing the area in his car.

All hospitals in Nablus remained on high alert due to the offensive and the number of injuries, especially since almost all of the wounded Palestinians were shot with live fire, including expanding bullets, to the upper body. As a result, hospitals called on the Palestinians to donate blood to the seriously wounded.

Mahmoud Majed Al-Ayedi

February 14, 2023: Mahmoud Majed Al-Ayedi, 17, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers during an Israeli military invasion of the Al-Far’a refugee camp south of Tubas, in the northeastern West Bank, where the boy lived.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed the death of the teenage boy from serious wounds he suffered at dawn when Israeli soldiers shot and seriously injured him in the Al-Far’a refugee camp south of Tubas, in the northeastern West Bank.

The Health Ministry said Mahmoud Majed Al-Ayedi, 17, was seriously injured when the soldiers shot him with a live round in the head and succumbed to his wounds at the Tubas Turkish Governmental Hospital.

His death brings the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli fire this year to 47, including four who the illegal paramilitary colonizers killed; among the slain Palestinians are eleven children and one woman.

The soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at Palestinians who protested the invasion.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the soldiers shot Mahmoud Majed Al-Ayedi with a live round in the head, and he was rushed to Tubas Turkish Governmental Hospital in a very serious condition.

The head of Tuba’s office of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said the soldiers also abducted Ahmad Raja Al-Khatib, 45, after storming and ransacking his home, and added that a military dog mauled Ahmad’s son, Raja, in the leg.

Qussai Radwan Waked

February 12, 2023: Qussai Radwan Waked, 14, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers at noon in Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank. The soldiers also ahot and injured two other Palestinians.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the soldiers shot Qussai Radwan Waked, 14, with a live round in the abdomen, causing organ damage and severe internal bleeding that resulted in his death.

The Ministry added that the soldiers also shot two Palestinians with live fire and caused many to suffer cuts and bruises and the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The incidents unfolded when a large military force invaded Jenin, surrounded a home in the Al-Jabriyyat neighborhood, and stormed it before abducting a former political prisoner, Jibril Zobeidi, who was imprisoned by Israeli for eleven years, leading to protests.

Jibril is the brother of a political prisoner and a member of the Revolutionary Council of Fateh movement, Zakariyya Zobeidi, and Daoud Zobeidi, who died from serious wounds on May 15, 2022, after Israeli soldiers shot him two days before, during an invasion of the Jenin refugee camp.

Israeli soldiers also killed his mother and his brother Taha on April 6, 2002, during the Israeli military offensive in the Jenin refugee camp (known as the Jenin massacre).

During the Jenin and its refugee camp invasion, Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the soldiers invading the Jenin refugee camp and several areas in Jenin city.

The Israeli army said it invaded Jenin to abduct a Palestinian fighter and to “foil” what the army alleged was a “planned attack.”

Thousands of Palestinians marched in front of ‎Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital in Jenin city, the Jenin refugee camp, and participated in the funeral ceremony and procession of the slain child before he was buried at the village cemetery in Al-Arqa, west of Jenin.

The Palestinians chanted for resistance until liberation and independence, called for national unity, and affirmed that the ongoing Israeli escalation and crimes would only lead to more resistance and determination.

In a statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement denouncing the escalating Israeli crimes and violations, strongly condemned the killing of the Palestinian child, and said the Israeli army’s field executions of Palestinians, and extra-judicial assassinations, are part of Israel’s illegal policies that violate all international standards, including International Law, International Humanitarian Law, and the Fourth Geneva Convention.

The Ministry held Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his fanatic colonialist right-wing government responsible for the serious escalation, including the seriously increasing demolition of Palestinian homes, especially in occupied Jerusalem, the theft of Palestinian lands, and the daily invasions and violations against the unarmed Palestinian population.

Hamza Amjad Al-Ashqar

Hama AshqarFebruary 07, 2023: Hamza Amjad Al-Ashqar, 17, from Askar Al-Jadid refugee camp in Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, after shooting him with a live round in the face. The assassination took place on Tuesday before dawn.

Media sources said several armored military vehicles invaded Nablus, leading to protests by local youth, some of whom threw stones at the invading military force.

The Israeli soldiers in their armored vehicles fired a barrage of live fire, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at the children and youth in the refugee camp.

It is worth mentioning that the soldiers shot the child when the military vehicles were withdrawing from the Housing Projects in the Askar al-Jadid refugee camp in Nablus.

In a video of the invasion, taken by a local Palestinian resident on their phone, the Israeli army vehicles are seen withdrawing, and as they are withdrawing, the soldiers fired several live rounds. Then a man can be heard screaming, “ambulance… ambulance..” when Hamza was shot in the head.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the soldiers also shot six Palestinians, including one who suffered serious wounds, and caused at least three to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The PRCS added that the soldiers attacked one of its ambulances and stopped medics who were rushing to provide aid to wounded Palestinians.

In related news, the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, said its fighters managed to down and take possession of an Israeli military drone during the military’s invasion of Nablus.

Palestinian fighters of the Lion’s Den group, which unites fighters from various factions, said they exchanged fire with the soldiers invading Nablus.

On Monday dawn, Israeli soldiers killed five Palestinians, including two siblings, injured many others, and abducted eight, in the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, south of Jericho, in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.

The refugee camps in the West Bank are made up of the three generations of Palestinians displaced in 1948 when Israel was created on the land of historic Palestine, and they were displaced from what had been their homes in what is now Israel.

Since 1948, the state of Israel has never declared its borders and has encroached further and further onto Palestinian land in a blatant attempt to colonize all of historic Palestine while displacing its original inhabitants.

The Israeli army has killed 42 Palestinians, including nine children and one woman, since the beginning of this year.

Nayef Al-Aweidat

January 26, 2023: Nayef Al-Aweidat, 13, died from serious wounds sustained last year during the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources said the child, a resident of the Nusseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, sustained wounds during the Israeli bombing that targeted the Al-Hasayna neighborhood in the camp.

During the three-day aerial bombardment of Gaza in August 2022, Israeli bombs killed at least 47 people—including 16 children—and injured over 300. Over 650 homes were destroyed – and many Palestinians in Gaza are unable to rebuild homes destroyed in Israeli bombings because Israel has banned the import of building materials into the besieged coastal Strip.

Here is an eyewitness account of that three-day assault on Gaza.

Among those killed in the three-day-long Israeli bombardment was Ala’ Abdullah Qaddoum, 5, killed by a missile dropped on her home by the Israeli military. She was one of eleven Palestinians killed in a barrage of Israeli missiles fired into Gaza in the middle of the afternoon on August 5th.

Dozens of airstrikes were carried out by Israeli forces in the span of a few minutes in different parts of the Gaza Strip. In addition to the 11 killed, at least 55 Palestinians were wounded and taken to local hospitals for treatment of moderate to severe wounds.

The airstrikes were apparently attempting to target certain Palestinian resistance leaders – but most of those killed in the airstrikes were civilians.
