Jana Abu Khusa

July 30, 2014: Jana Bilal Mohammed Abu Khusa, 1, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired missiles at a home belonging to her grandfather, Mohammed ‘Atiya Abu Khousa, in Zawaida village, in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza Strip.

The attack also led to the death of Sabrin Mohammed Abu Khusa, 32, her daughter, Shahed, 9, and her son, Mohammad, 2, in addition to Sabrin’s mother, Sabah Mubarak Abu Khusa, 50.

Sabrin’s husband, Ibrahim Suleiman Abu Khusa, 36, who was seriously injured in the Israeli bombardment, died from his wounds nine days after the attack.

At Least 103 Palestinians were killed on the same day, due to ongoing Israeli bombardment and shelling, targeting various Palestinian communities across the Gaza Strip. Jana was from Deir al-Balah. Source: Mezan Center for Human Rights

Rital Abu Khusa

July 30, 2014: Rital Bashir Mohammed Abu Khusa, 7 months, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired missiles at a home belonging to her grandfather, Mohammed ‘Atiya Abu Khousa, in Zawaida village, in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza Strip.

Halima Suleiman
July 29, 2014: Halimah Muhammad Suliman, 1, was killed by Israeli shells along with seventeen other Palestinians including her mother and brother, and many family members, when the army heavily bombarded, for nearly ten minutes, many homes and buildings in al-Omari Mosque area, in Jabalia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. Suleiman Abu Amer

July 29, 2014: Suleiman Ahmed Abu Amer, 3, was killed by Israeli soldiers who fired missiles at a residential building in the al-Mahatta area, in Khan Younis city, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, also killing his father, Ahmed, 40, mother, Mona, 35, along with their children Mohammed, 11, Yasser, 8, Marah, 10, Yasser, 8, and Marwa, 5.

The Israeli missiles also killed Ahmed’s sister, ‘Orouba, 41, her husband, Waddah, 39, and their children, Omar, 12, Abdel-Ghani, 10, Imad, 9, Issa, 7, and Ez Ad-Din, 5, in addition to Waddah’s brothers, Mohammed Hasan Abu Amer, 19, and Ahmed Hasan Amer, 35.

The residential building was about 400 square meters, owned by Karam Mohammed Al-Dali, where Abu Amer family lived in rented apartments, along with the families of al-Najjar, Breeka, and Mu’ammar.

The Israeli bombardment leveled the building, and caused severe damage to nearby buildings, leading to the death of 35 Palestinians, and wounding 27 others. Abu Amer family was living in a kindergarten in the building after fleeing their home. Suleiman was from Khan Younis. Source: Mezan Center for Human Rights

Mona Jehad Al-Najjar

July 29, 2014: Mona Jehad Al-Najjar, 27 days, was killed by Israeli missiles fired at the family’s home, owned by Ibrahim Hassan Al-Najjar, in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli bombardment also led to the death of her father, Jehad Ibrahim Al-Najjar, 25, and her mother, Maysa, 18.

Also among the dead was her grandmother, Fawziya Qasem Al-Najjar, 81, Fawziya’s daughter-in-law, Mona Ismail Khamis Al Najjar, 43, and Mona’s daughter Aya Ibrahim Al-Najjar, 23, in addition to Mohammad Zaki Al-Najjar, 30, and Hamad Yousif Al-Najjar, 23.

The attack against the Al-Najjar family home came at dawn, without a warning from the Israeli army, and damaged several nearby homes, leading to dozens of injuries.

At least 45 Palestinians were killed by Israeli missiles and shells, in different parts of the Gaza Strip, on that day alone. Mona was from Khan Younis. Source: Mezan Center For Human Rights
