The soldiers claimed he approached a military roadblock and refused to heed to their demand to stop, and that he “opened fire at the post.” The army later retracted its allegation and confirmed the man was unarmed. August 25, 2016: Sari Mohammad Abu Ghrab, 26, was killed by Israeli soldiers near Nablus, in the northern part of the West Bank, just two months before his planned wedding. The soldiers claimed he exited a car that was being chased by an army vehicle and tried to stab an Israeli soldier, but photos from the scene show Sari still seated in the vehicle. Source: IMEMC

August 16, 2016: Mohammad Yousef Abu Hashhash, 19, was killed by Israeli soldiers who invaded the al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron in the West Bank, and conducted extensive searches of homes. July 31, 2016: Rami Awartani, 31, was killed by Israeli soldiers near the Huwwara military roadblock, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, after they alleged he ran towards them carrying a knife, while Palestinian eyewitnesses said the several soldiers shot him in the chest after dragging him out of his car. July 27, 2016: Mohammad al-Faqeeh, 29, was killed by Israeli soldiers in Surif town, northwest of Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, after the army fired missiles into a home before bulldozing it. The army claims that al-Faqeeh was behind the shooting death of an Israeli settler, identified as Michael Mark, 48. Mohammad was from Surif town. Source: IMEMC
Hadia Abu Shammala
July 27, 2016: Hadia Abu Shammala, 68, was shot in the head by Israeli soldiers in 2001, and remained in a coma, dependent on life support machines and feeding tubes until her death. Hadia was from Khan Younis. Source: IMEMC
Saed Adnan Jneid
July 26, 2016: Saed ‘Adnan Rizeq Jneid, 25, was injured by Israeli shells fired into in Jabalia in the northern part of the Gaza Strip and died two years later of his wounds.
The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories (B’Tselem) said Saed was serious injured by a tank shell that was fired by the army in Jabalia, in northern Gaza Strip.

July 19, 2016: Mohammad Sidqy at-Tibakhi, 10, was killed after an Israeli soldier shot him in the chest from a close range in the town of al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem. Eyewitnesses said an Israeli sharpshooter shot the child after the army invaded the town. Mohammad was from Jerusalem. Source: IMEMC

July 19, 2016: Mustafa Mohammad Baradeyya, 50, was killed by Israeli soldiers reportedly after he stabbed and mildly injured two soldiers at the entrance of the al-Arroub refugee camp, south of the southern West Bank city of Hebron. His brother Ibrahim, 54, was killed by the army on April 14, 2016. Mustafa was from al-Arroub. Source: IMEMC
Saleh al-Astal
July 18, 2016: Saleh al-Astal, 28, was killed when a border tunnel collapsed on him, in the town of Al-Qarara, in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
The al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, said the Palestinian was one of its fighters, and that he was working in the tunnel, along with other Palestinians, when it collapsed.
Medical sources in Khan Younis said First Responders managed to locate al-Astal’s body, and rescued three other Palestinians, who suffered various injuries.
Many tunnels spread across the border fence in the Gaza Strip; while some are used by armed groups such as Hamas, most tunnels are used for smuggling food, goods and medicines into the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip.
Hundreds of Palestinians were killed, and injured, in numerous tunnel accident across the border fence in Gaza.
Most of them were civilians who resorted to working in the dangerous tunnels to provide for their families, suffering under a tight siege, and repeated Israeli wars on the Gaza Strip. Saleh was from Khan Younis. Source: IMEMC
