Ismael Salman Ayyad

June 09, 2023: Ismael Salman Ayyad, 73, died from serious wounds he suffered during the Israeli offensive on Gaza on May 2023.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza confirmed Ismael’s death and said he was seriously injured when an Israeli war jet fired a missile near his home in the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

Ismael was seriously injured on May 12 and underwent several surgeries due to the seriousness of his wounds, but he remained in critical condition until he succumbed to his wounds.

After a ceasefire deal was reached, the Health Ministry has reported that Israel’s five-day offensive on the Gaza Strip has killed 33 Palestinians, including six children and three women, and injured at least 150.

The Israeli missiles destroyed 51 residential units and caused damage to more than 1000, including 50 that are structurally unstable, dangerous to live in, and need to be removed.

The missiles also caused serious damage to infrastructure, including roads, agricultural lands and structures, and even graveyards, especially when the army fired missiles into the Shuhada Graveyard in northern Gaza.

Only after the ceasefire deal came into effect that the Palestinians were able to start to examine the damage caused by the Israeli missiles.

The invading soldiers critically wounded the child’s father in the same incident.

The invasion took place on the previous Thursday, and the child succumbed to his wounds at the hospital four days later, on Monday.

The child, Mohammad Haitham Tamimi, 3 years of age, was shot in the head, and his father was shot in the shoulder while they were standing in the front yard of their home near an Israeli military roadblock at the entrance of Nabi Saleh.

The attack took place when Israeli soldiers ambushed a Palestinian car at the town entrance and fired many live rounds at a car, which sprayed randomly around the area, including at the home of Mohammad and his father.

The three-year-old child was shot in the head, and the father was shot in the shoulder, causing serious injuries.

The child and his father were not in the car but in their home’s front yard near the military roadblock at the entrance of the town.

The seriously wounded child was rushed to Tal HaShomer Israeli Medical Center, where he was treated for his wounds but remained in critical condition until he succumbed to his injuries.

Israeli sources confirmed that Meir suffered several gunshot wounds to the chest and shoulders and received treatment from Israeli medics who rushed him to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera but succumbed to his injuries.

The sources said the shooter fired at least seven live rounds from an M16 rifle and sped towards Jenin, in the northern West Bank.

Israeli Haaretz said Meir made his way to the entrance of Hermesh colony before he was evacuated to Hillel Yaffeh Medical Center in Hadera and was pronounced dead a few hours later.

Israeli soldiers installed many roadblocks in the area and initiated a massive search campaign in the area, looking for the Palestinian car.

The army said a Palestinian driver sped and bypassed a colonialist settlers’ car before firing several live rounds at it and fleeing the scene.

The Israeli army initiated a massive search campaign in the area and set up roadblocks in an effort to locate the shooters.

The Al-Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of the Fateh movement, claimed responsibility for the shooting and said its fighters managed to escape unharmed.

It stated the shooting comes in retaliation to the escalating Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, including the ongoing assassinations and killings of fighters and civilians.

The Brigades added that its fighters also exchanged fire with Israeli soldiers who invaded Nur Shams refugee camp at dawn and managed to detonate explosive charges near military vehicles.

On Monday evening, many paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded Deir Dibwan town, east of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, attacked and injured several Palestinians, caused damage to cars, and burnt crops while Israeli soldiers fired at the Palestinians who tried to defend themselves.

Ala’ Khalil Qaisiyya

May 26, 2023: Ala’ Khalil Qaisiyya, 26, was killed by an Israeli guard in an illegal colony near Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Israeli reports said a security team member shot the Palestinian, who has reportedly infiltrated a colony and was“heading to a synagogue in Teneh Omarim colony, where holiday prayers were taking place,” and added that “the guard shot him at the entrance of the building.”

According to Ynet News, the Palestinian was shot in “an attempted stabbing attack,” adding that the security guard shot him allegedly when he was “wielding his knife.” No Israelis were injured in the reported incident.

The report only indicated that the Palestinian was “neutralized,” a term various Israeli medical outlets use without providing further details, especially whether the person was killed or just ‘idled.’

Immediately after the incident, the Israeli army instructed the colonizers to remain indoors until further notice and prevented vehicles from entering or leaving the colony.

The Palestinian is the cousin of Sa’ad Mahmoud Qaisiyya, 25, who a paramilitary colonizer killed, on March 1, 2017, in the same colony.

There are 22 illegal Israeli colonies, fifteen outposts, and four’ industrial colonies’ on stolen Palestinian lands in Hebron, where about 21.000 colonizers reside.

The army also has 20 permanent military roadblocks in Hebron, resulting in constant closure and the isolation of many neighborhoods and communities.

The explosions caused serious damage not only to the targeted homes but also to the many surrounding properties, especially the ones above the properties in the same building.

Many surrounding homes sustained considerable property damage, especially since the refugee camp is densely populated with narrow alleys and attached properties.

Eyewitnesses said the army also deployed sharpshooters on rooftops of several buildings and prevented Palestinian ambulances from entering the refugee camp.

Israeli sources said the army deployed more than 400 soldiers during the invasion, and added that the soldiers also exchanged fire with Palestinian fighters.
