Ata Yassin Shalabi

December 08, 2022: Ata Yassin Shalabi, 46, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers during a pre-dawn invasion in which Israeli soldiers killed three young men and injured several Palestinians when the army invaded Jenin city and Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the slain Palestinians as Sidqi Siddeeq Zakarna, 29, from Jenin city, Tareq Fawzi Ad-Damaj, 29, from Jenin refugee camp, and Ata Yassin Shalabi, 46, from Qabatia town, south of Jenin.

One of Ata’s relatives said the young man worked at an Israeli factory in a colony near Al-Jalama and was heading to his work when he saw a car that had the bodies of Sidqi and Tareq and rushed to try to help them, but just as he reached the car, the soldiers shot him with a live round in the head, three in the chest and three in the back.

According to local sources, after the soldiers shot Sidqi, they then came to his body on the ground and shot him again. The Israeli soldiers then ran him over with a military vehicle. Palestine TV said the soldiers shot Sidqi with several live rounds before one of the military jeeps sped toward and ran over him.

Palestine TV reported that the soldiers fired several live rounds at a Palestinian ambulance transporting a wounded Palestinian and that the driver was almost killed when the soldiers fired live rounds at its windshield.

The soldiers also shot with live fire two other Palestinians, inflicting moderate-to-severe wounds, medical sources confirmed.

The invasion was carried out by dozens of armored military vehicles, including bulldozers before the soldiers stormed and ransacked many homes and occupied rooftops to use as sniper posts and monitoring towers.

The invasion led to massive protests in Jenin city and the Jenin refugee camp before the soldiers fired dozens of live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.

A Palestinian cab driver said he saw several Israeli military vehicles at a distance and noticed the undercover Israeli soldiers at an intersection nearby before he saw the soldiers shoot one of the Palestinians not far from his car.

He added that he saw another Palestinian killed by the soldiers not far from where the soldiers fatally shot the first young man.

Hundreds of Palestinians marched in front of Ibn Sina hospital in Jenin, carrying the corpses of the three slain Palestinians and chanting for ongoing resistance until liberation and independence.

Palestinian national and Islamic factions in Jenin announced a general strike and called on the Palestinians to participate in the funeral procession of the slain men.

According to the Health Ministry, Israeli soldiers have killed 216 Palestinians, 164 of them in the West Bank and 52 in the Gaza Strip, since the beginning of this year.

Mojahed Mahmoud Hamed

December 07, 2022: Mojahed Mahmoud Hamed, 32, was killed by Israeli soldiers in Deir Dibwan town, east of Ramallah, in the central part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the General Authority of Civil Affairs informed it that the soldiers killed Mojahed after shooting him with live fire.

It added that the soldiers chased the young man, opened fire at him, and took him to an unknown destination before the Israeli side later informed the General Authority of Civil Affairs that Mohammad had died from his wounds.

The Health Ministry stated that the army initially refused to allow the transfer of the corpse of the slain young man to the Palestinians, but later all handed his body to a Palestinian ambulance before he was moved to Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.

The Israeli occupation army claimed the soldiers “neutralized a suspect who opened fire at their military post from a speeding car.”

The army and several Israeli media outlets frequently used the term “neutralized”, to refrain from stating the soldiers or colonizers killed a Palestinian, and as a form of justification for killing the Palestinians.

The army alleged that the soldiers “pursued the car and fired at the suspect who was driving while firing at the soldiers” and that the army initiated a search campaign “looking for more suspects” and added that no soldiers were injured in the incident.

The soldiers also invaded Kafr Ein village, northwest of Ramallah, leading to protests, before shooting a young man with several live rounds in the chest, pelvis, and thigh; his wounds have been described as moderate-to-severe.

On December 5th, the soldiers killed Omar Yousef Manna’ Fararja, 22, shot six others, and abducted three, including his brother, in the Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

On December 2nd, the soldiers killed Ammar Hamdi Mifleh, 22, in Huwwara town, south of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

On December 1st, the soldiers killed two Palestinians, Na’im Jamal Zubeidi, 27, and Mohammad Ayman Sa’adi, 26, in Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank.

Omar Yousef Fararja

December 05, 2022: Omar Yousef Manna’ Fararja, 22, was killed by Israeli soldiers who also shot six others and abducted three, including his brother, in the Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian TV said the soldiers surrounded the Deheishe refugee camp and occupied the rooftops of tall buildings overlooking it before undercover officers infiltrated it using a car carrying Palestinian license plates.

It added that the Palestinians became aware of the undercover officers before many armored military vehicles invaded the refugee camp, leading to protests.

The soldiers fired dozens of live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the soldiers killed Omar after shooting him with live rounds in the chest.

The Health Ministry added that the soldiers also shot six Palestinians with live fire before Palestinian medics rushed them to Bethlehem hospitals.

The soldiers also stormed and ransacked many homes and abducted three Palestinians, Omar’s brother, Yazan Fararja, 24, in addition to Odai Essam Abu Nassar, 24, and his brother Mu’ath, 27.

On Monday afternoon, thousands of Palestinians held a funeral procession that started in Deheishe refugee camp and headed towards the Shuhada Graveyard in the nearby Artas village, south of Bethlehem.

It is worth mentioning that Omar was a political prisoner, imprisoned by Israel several times, including when he was held under the arbitrary Administrative Detention orders without charges or trial.

Ammar Hamdi Mifleh

Ammar MiflehDecember 02, 2022: Ammar Hamdi Mifleh, 22, was executed by an Israeli soldier who shot him while he was lying on the ground. After shooting Ammar on the ground once, the soldier then fired again a total of four times. Ammar was unarmed, and was lying on the ground when he was shot. The assassination took place in Huwwara town, south of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the slain young man was identified as Ammar Hamdi Mifleh, 22, from Osarin village, south of Nablus.

The Health Ministry said the soldiers prevented a Palestinian ambulance and medics from approaching the wounded young man, who bled out while lying on the street, and succumbed to his wounds before the army took his corpse to an unknown destination.

A video documenting the Israeli attack shows the soldier wrapping his arm around the young man’s neck and trying to drag him away before two Palestinians tried to intervene and de-escalate the situation.

The young man, who managed to get free from the soldier’s neck hold, wrestled with him for brief seconds before the soldier started removing his pistol out of its holster. The soldier’s rifle fell from his shoulder in the process, and then he pushed the Palestinian, dropping him to the ground, before firing four rounds at him.

The soldier then approached the Palestinian again and before using his pistol to fire another round in a clear indication he executed the young man although he posed no threat, before picking up his rifle.

The soldier’s life was clearly not in danger, especially since the young man was already on the ground, and he could have subdued him at gunpoint to allow other soldiers to arrest him.

Eyewitnesses said the scuffle was fast and brief and that when the Palestinians seemed to have grabbed the muzzle area of the rifle, he was trying to ensure it wasn’t pointed at him.

The Israeli army claimed a Palestinian “stabbed a police officer in Huwwara” before he was shot by the soldiers, adding that the officer suffered mild wounds.

The allegation cannot be substantiated, while eyewitnesses said the fatal shooting of the young man had nothing to do with the alleged stabbing,

According to the army, “the Palestinian attempted to snatch the weapon from the soldier before his rifle fell”. The video evidence contradicts that claim. But even that scenario does not justify firing four live rounds at the Palestinian who was already on the ground and was unarmed.

The young man’s execution led to massive protests in Huwwara before the soldiers shot a young man with a rubber-coated steel bullet and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates denounced the execution of the young man and described it as “a cold-blooded murder committed by a racist Israeli occupation soldier encouraged by the extremist political and military leadership in Israel.”

It added that Israel’s policies allowing soldiers to use live fire against unarmed Palestinians are all part of the political incitement, hatred, and racism of the Israeli political and military leaderships and the illegal paramilitary colonizers who became a second army occupying Palestine.

The Ministry called on the International Criminal Court and the International Community to end their deadly silence, prosecute the war criminals, and end this illegal, criminal colonialist occupation of Palestine and its seriously escalating crimes.

Issa Hani Talqat

IssaNovember 30, 2022: Issa Hani Talqat, 13, On Wednesday, a Palestinian child from the Negev died during surgery at the Israeli Soroka Medical Center a month after an Israeli police officer shot him with live fire in Arara town in the Negev, during celebrations after the Knesset election.

Issa Hani Talqat, 13, suffered serious wounds when an Israeli police officer shot him on November 1st, 2022, after exit polls were published, and United Arab List (Ra’am) only won five Knesset seats.

The Israeli police claimed that the officers fired at a car “driving wildly” and “believed that the life of an officer was endangered.”

Eyewitnesses said the child was walking on the sidewalk and not in the car when the officers opened fire and shot him in the neck.

The Times Of Israel said the child’s condition initially improved but had several scheduled difficult surgeries and died just minutes after the surgeons started surgery to install a feeding tube in his body.

It added that the officer who injured the child was questioned by the “Internal Investigations Department,” which is part of the “Justice Ministry” that investigates police wrongdoing in Israel, and the officer claimed he “suspected one of the drivers tried to run him over.”

Locals in the Arab town said the police had no reason to open fire and that the child had no connection with the alleged wild driver, adding that several police officers tried to stop one of the speeding cars and fired at it when the driver did not stop.

The child’s uncle, Riyad, said his slain nephew child was walking on the side of the road heading home when he was shot and seriously injured and added that Issa was recovering and even started walking while attached to a medical device, but then he suffered complications and died during surgery.

Riyad stated that the investigation could reveal whether the child died of medical negligence or other causes, adding that “no matter what eventually led to his death, the police should not have opened fire, and they are responsible for his death.”

Rani Ma’moun Abu Ali

November 29, 2022: Rani Ma’moun Fayez Abu Ali, 45, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers north of Al-Biereh city, in the central West Bank governorate of Ramallah and Al-Biereh. The Israeli military claimed, despite video evidence to the contrary, that the middle-aged father of five young children had tried to ram them with his car, shortly after ramming and seriously wounding a soldier. Rani was the fifth Palestinian, including two siblings, to be killed by Israeli soldiers Tuesday.

Rani was a married father of five children and had a permit to work at a “Rami Levy Store” in the Benyamin colony; he started working there about a month ago.

In a statement, the Palestinian General Assembly for Civil Affairs said Israeli soldiers killed Rani Ma’moun Fayez Abu Ali, 45, from Betunia town, west of Ramallah, adding that the soldiers shot and seriously injured the Palestinian, who later succumbed to his wounds at an Israeli hospital.

The Israeli army claimed that the soldiers fired several live rounds at the Palestinian who was driving his car and rammed it into a metal barrier and alleged that he was trying to “ram the soldiers with his car.”

The soldiers immediately started firing live rounds through the rear windshield of the stopped car, which contradicted their claim that he was trying to ram them – since they were firing at him through the rear window of the vehicle.

Israeli reports also made contradictory accounts of the shooting – with some saying that the Palestinian driver “exited his car and was shot by the soldiers in the middle of a busy road.”

However, a video from the scene shows the Palestinian car stopped after hitting a road barrier, before sounds of live fire are heard. The video also shows an Israeli police officer striking the car’s side window with his rifle, an issue that indicates that the driver was still inside the vehicle that came to a complete stop.

The Israeli army also stopped and prevented Palestinian ambulances from reaching the wounded man and closed the entire area.

Israeli sources said a female soldier suffered serious wounds after being rammed by the car driven by the slain Palestinian.

According to Israeli reports, the officer, roughly 20 years of age, was injured at 10:45 in the morning on Route 60 near Kochav Ya’akov, north of occupied Jerusalem, before Israeli medics were called to the scene to treat the woman and evacuated her to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.

Also, according to the Israeli reports, the “driver sped away before he was located and shot after a short manhunt.”

Israeli National News quoted Paramedic Shmulik David stating, “We were told that a vehicle hit her [the soldier] and escaped. We moved her quickly to the ambulance while providing life-saving treatment, stopping the bleeding and providing pain relief, and then transferred her to a mobile intensive care unit that is conveying her to hospital in severe but stable condition,”

The army said the soldier was run over at a gas station near Kokhav Ya’akov colony and that the Palestinian fled the scene before the soldiers killed him after a “short manhunt,” and added that the soldiers initiated massive searches in the area “looking for additional suspects.”

Surveillance shows the car turning around in a gas station, trying to speed out, and then ramming the soldier before the driver sped away. However, it is hard to determine if the driver lost control of his car and struck the soldier before fleeing the scene.

It is also unclear whether the car that hit the soldier was the same one driven by Rani.

The Israeli National News also said that the Police Sergeant Majors David Yoel and Menashe Naftali “praised the officers who killed the Palestinian.”

It also quoted Police Commissioner Yaakov ‘Kobi’ Shabtai, who spoke to the two officers who opened fire at the car and “praised them for their efforts in neutralizing the terrorist.”

Shabtai, according to Israeli National News, also said that the officers “performed excellently” and that their so-called “initial identification of a suspicious vehicle, before they even knew about the incident, followed by their linking it to the incident, with the result of a dead terrorist – that’s what I want to see.”.

An Israeli police officer said that he and other officers noticed a speeding car “driving widely” and also at the same time “hearing reports about an attack” before firing many live rounds at the Palestinian driver who allegedly continued to drive “trying to escape towards Givat Assaf” colony.

According to Israeli National News, the officer added, “We realized that it was the [terrorist’s vehicle]. We spread out and stopped the vehicle, and fired at him, and he continued to escape toward Givat Assaf. We drove after him – he was endangering the other drivers on the road – and in the area of the checkpoint, we approached him.”

Palestinian sources said the Palestinian was killed because Israeli soldiers profiled him as the attacker and chose to fire many live rounds at his car and that the entire incident was a traffic accident and not a ramming attack.

It is worth mentioning that many Palestinians have been killed or seriously injured in traffic accidents involving Israeli vehicles, soldiers, or colonizers after the army believed those accidents were “deliberate ramming attacks,” an issue that raises fears among Palestinian drives involved in this type of traffic accidents with Israeli colonizers or soldiers, pushing many to try to flee in fear of being profile as attackers before being shot.
