November 4th, 2020: Bilal Adnan Rawajba, 29, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers while driving his car near the Huwwara checkpoint, in the northern part of the West Bank. Bilal was a married father of an infant girl, only three months of age.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers prevented Palestinian medics from approaching the vehicle he was driving, despite his serious wounds, and he bled to death.

It is worth mentioning that Bilal was a captain, working as a legal Counselor with the Palestinian Preventative Security Department in the Tubas governorate, in northeastern West Bank.

He was shot, on Wednesday morning, near Huwwara military roadblock, south of Nablus.

The Maan News Agency published a photo from the incident showing the Palestinian still in the driver seat when he was shot by the soldiers who fired a barrage of live rounds at him.

Several shots, fired by the soldiers, could be heard in a video captured by a Palestinian while waiting in a car near the roadblock.

In a brief statement, the Israeli army said its soldiers foiled what it described as “an attempted shooting attack” by “neutralizing the attacker,” and added that no soldiers were hurt.

In addition, the Israeli daily Haaretz quoted the army claiming the Palestinian fired two shots at the soldiers before they fired back and killed him.

The army closed the military roadblock after the incident, preventing the Palestinians from crossing.

It is important to note that numerous incidents have been documented in which Israeli soldiers have falsely claimed that Palestinians held weapons or fired on them, in order to attempt to justify killings in which unarmed Palestinians were shot and killed by heavily armed Israeli solders.

Amer Abdul-Rahim Snobar

October 25, 2020: Amer Abdul-Rahim Snobar, 17, was killed by Israeli soldiers who repeatedly struck and assaulted him, after they had chased his car and opened fire at it, on the main Ramallah-Nablus road, in the occupied West Bank.

They added that the soldiers fired several live rounds at the car, and then repeatedly assaulted Sobar, including hitting him with rifle-butts, inflicting serious wounds, but did not attempt to abduct him or move him to an Israeli medical center.

Palestinian medics were called to the scene and provided the seriously wounded young man with vital first aid before rushing him to Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.

Initial reports indicated that the young man was shot in his car, but eyewitnesses confirmed he was not injured by the bullets, but instead, all his wounds were inflicted by the soldiers who brutally assaulted him.

Dr. Ahmad al-Bitwati, the head of Ramallah Medical Complex in Ramallah, told Palestine TV that Snobar was not shot, but died as a result of injuries sustained from an attack by Israeli forces.

“There were visible signs of beatings on Snobar’s neck,” Bitawi said.

The medical center also confirmed reported that the injuries to Snobar’s neck were consistent with being beaten with the butts of Israeli soldiers’ rifles.

Al-Bitawi added that the Palestinian was already dead when the Palestinian ambulance arrived at the medical center.

Furthermore, Defense for Children International (DCI)- Palestine Branch said Snobar was helping his 17-year-old friend move his broken-down car near the village of Turmus Ayya, located northeast of Ramallah when Israeli forces arrived at the scene.

It added that the friend managed to flee on foot to some nearby trees where he became an eyewitness to Snobar’s killing. Snobar was surrounded by Israeli forces and placed in a chokehold before being beaten and killed by Israeli forces, according to the eyewitness. Snobar was later transferred by ambulance to a Ramallah hospital where he was pronounced dead.

On Saturday evening, the soldiers closed Beit Iksa and Qalandia roadblocks, north of Jerusalem, and prevented the Palestinians from crossing in both directions.

The soldiers searched dozens of cars and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards, before the army invaded the al-Ram town, north of Jerusalem, and chased many young men.

Israeli sources quoted the army claiming that pipe bombs were hurled at the Qalandia terminal, causing no injuries or damage and that an army sapper was called to the scene.

October 9th, 2020: Suhaib Ibrahim Al-Khatib, 19, died in a tunnel accident, in one of the many ‘siege-busting’ tunnels constructed underground to bring lifesaving aid to the people of Gaza.

The Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed the accidental death of a Palestinian resistance fighter in the southern besieged Gaza Strip

The military wing of the Hamas Resistance Movement, said the young man, Suhaib Ibrahim Al-Khatib, 19, was killed in an undisclosed accident in Rafah, on Friday night.

The correspondent stated that Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas leaders and hundreds of Palestinian civilians attended the funeral, on Saturday, at the “Al-Nour” mosque in Rafah, then carried out in a march to the cemetery.

Samir Ahmad Hmeidi

October 5th, 2020: Samir Ahmad Hmeidi, 28, was shot and killed by Israeli forces east of Tulkarem in the northern occupied West Bank, the Jerusalem Press reported.

In addition to the killing of Hmeidi, Israeli forces also shot at and wounded two other Palestinians near the “Annab” military roadblock in the northern West Bank.

Hmeidi was a former political prisoner, from Beit Lid town, southwest of Tulkarem, who spent three years in Israeli prisons.

According to the official Hebrew channel, the Israeli army alleged that three Palestinians threw bottles with flaming rags in them at an army post, and the soldiers shot at them.

Two of the Palestinians fled, and the third was seen lying bleeding on the ground by eyewitnesses.

Israeli troops did not bring in medical personnel to treat the man, and he bled to death soon after.

Samir Ahmad Hmeidi, 28, a university student, was shot by Israeli soldiers. Eyewitnesses reported seeing a young man lying on the ground bleeding.

Haaretz news published the Israel Defense Forces’ spokesman statement, which claimed that Israeli forces, stationed near the illegal Israeli settlement of Einav “identified three terrorists who threw firebombs at them. The forces responded with [live] fire, and one of the terrorists was hit.”

The army added that no Israeli soldiers were injured.

Khalil Mohammad Lubbad

Khalil LubbadSeptember 20th, 2020: Khalil Mohammad Lubbad, 27, died when a tunnel collapsed on him in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. Three other fighters were injured in the collapse, all of whom were members of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas.

Medical sources said the fighter was taken to the Indonesian Hospital, in Jabalia, along with three other Palestinians who were injured in the same incident, and that one of them is in a serious condition.

Dozens of Palestinians, including civilians not affiliated with any armed resistance groups, were killed and scores were injured in similar accidents, while many were killed or injured when the Israeli army bombarded the tunnels while they were working in them.

Tunnels in Gaza are not all used by armed resistance groups to smuggle weapons into the besieged coastal region, as many are used to smuggle goods and supplies, including medical supplies and fuel, into the enclave.

Many Palestinian civilians work in the tunnels to provide for their families due to the high levels of unemployment and poverty.

Dr. Nidal Mohammad Jabbarin

Nidal JabbarinSeptember 18th, 2020: Nidal Mohammad Akram Jabbarin, 54, a dentist, was killed by a concussion grenade fired by Israeli forces stationed at the Barta’a military roadblock, southwest of Jenin, in the northern West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the dentist, identified as Nidal Mohammad Akram Jabbarin, 54, suffered a heart attack after the soldiers fired the concussion grenades at the Palestinians while waiting to be allowed through the military roadblock.

An eyewitness said that Dr. Jabarin was walking in the dedicated area for pedestrians near the military roadblock when a soldier directly fired a concussion grenade at him before he suffered a shock and fell onto the ground.

The head of the Emergency Services at the Palestinian Red Crescent, Dr. Mahmoud Sa’adi, said the medics rushed to the military roadblock to provide him with the needed medical aid, but he was already dead.

Dr. Wisam Abu Baker, the head of Khalil Suleiman Governmental Hospital in Jenin, said Dr. Jabbarin was taken to the Intensive Care Unit, where he was officially pronounced dead despite all efforts to save his life.

The deceased dentist is a married father of four and runs a dental clinic in Jenin, where he also did a lot of charity work to help the poor who need treatment.

Jabarin is from the Marah Sa’ad neighborhood, in Jenin city, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

His funeral procession was held in Jenin a few hours after his death and was attended by hundreds of Palestinians, who marched while chanting against the ongoing and escalating Israeli violations against the Palestinian people.

Social, political national, and religious figures in Jenin denounced the latest Israeli crime and called for forming an international committee to investigate Israel’s escalating violations and to hold it accountable.

Daoud Tal’at Khatib

Daoud KhatibSeptember 3, 2020: Daoud Tal’at Khatib, 45, died in Ofer Israeli prison, and added that the only information the Israeli authorities are giving so far indicates he died from a heart attack.

The Palestinian Prisoners Society issued a statement mourning the detainee, identified as Daoud Tal’at Khatib, 45, from Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank, and added that the detainee was abducted by the soldiers in April 2002, and was sentenced to 18 years and eight months in prison. He was only a few months away from being released.

The PPS added that Israel is claiming he died from a heart attack, but without any further information, and added that the detainee, throughout the years of imprisonment, has faced numerous health complications, including a heart attack a few years ago, in addition to undergoing an open-heart surgery.

The one statement given by Israel alleged that the detainee “fainted while in his room in Ofer Prison, and that guards tried to revive him, but he passed away.”

The PPS added that Israel rejected various appeals for Daoud’s release on humanitarian grounds so that he can receive the needed treatment at specialized medical centers.

It is worth mentioning that both of his parents died while he was in prison. The deceased detainee was held at the Negev Desert Detention camp.

His death brings the number of detainees who died in Israeli prison since 1967 to 225, including dozens who were tortured to death and others who were shot while in prison.

The PPS called on international human rights groups and legal organizations to practice pressure on Israel to improve the continuously declining living conditions of the detainees, and to release all ailing prisoners, especially amidst the current coronavirus pandemic, and added that Israel’s prison system where the Palestinians are held lacks basic requirements as the prisons have chronic sanitization issues, bad air ventilation, in addition to awful smells, infestations of bugs and cockroaches among other things.

It added that Ofer Prison, where the detainee died, has recently witnesses a sharp increase in Covid-19 infections among the detainees.

August 26, 2020: Shai Ohayon, 39, was stabbed to death in Petah Tikva, in central Israel, allegedly by a Palestinian man.

Update: November 1, 2020: Israeli soldiers invaded Rojeeb village, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, on Monday at dawn, and demolished the family home of the Palestinian, suspected of killing Ohayon.

Shai was a father of four. He was unconscious when first responders reached him before he was transferred to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect, a Palestinian man, identified as Khalil Dweikat, who holds a valid Israeli work permit, was chased by witnesses, and then arrested by the Israeli Police, who suspected a political motive for the attack. He was then interrogated by Israel’s Intelligence Agency, the Shin Bet.

Khalil has a long history of mental disorders and received treatment by Palestinian physicians. He also was not a member or supporter of any Palestinian faction and had no political activities.

Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu announced to the nation that his government, “will work to demolish the terrorist’s house and carry out the most severe punishment.”

Magen David Adom teams reported that the Shai had multiple stab wounds to his upper body, that the victim was provided with medical treatment and transferred to Rabin Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Mo’taz Amer al-Mibyed

August 24th, 2020: Mo’taz Amer al-Mibyed, 29, was one of four Palestinian resistance fighters killed in an explosion in Gaza City.

Medics and rescue teams first found the corpses of two Palestinians, and later found two others during the search.

The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, issued a statement confirming that the four Palestinians are members of the group.

It confirmed their identity as Eyad Jamal al-Jedy, 42, Mo’taz Amer al-Mibyed, 29, Yahia Farid al-Mibyed, 23, Yacoub Monther Zeidiyya, 25, and Yacoub Monther Zeidiyya, 25.

The four fighters, from the Sheja’eyya neighborhood, in Gaza city, were apparently killed in an accidental explosion, likely during training.

For its part, the Israeli army denied any relation to the incident and said it did not target any area in Gaza at the time.

On Sunday, Israeli navy ships attacked Palestinian fishermen within one nautical mile off the Gaza shore, while, on Saturday morning, the soldiers fired live rounds at Palestinian farmers and shepherds.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army has been bombing Gaza for about two weeks, in addition to escalating its attacks against farmers on their lands near the perimeter fence, and fisherman in Palestinian territorial waters in the coastal enclave.
