August 01, 2022: Dirar Riyad Saleh al-Kafrini, 17, was killed by Israeli soldiers in Jenin refugee camp, in Jenin in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that the soldiers shot Dirar with an expanding bullet in the shoulder before the medics rushed him to Jenin governmental hospital.
The Health Ministry stated that the expanding bullet caused serious internal injuries, including multiorgan damage, and severe bleeding, instantly killing Dirar.

The soldiers also shot and moderately injured a young man with live fire in the leg before the medics rushed him to Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital in Jenin.
Media sources in Jenin said undercover Israeli soldiers infiltrated the refugee camp from several directions before armored military vehicles, including a bulldozer, invaded it, leading to protests.
They added that the soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at the Palestinians while a military helicopter hovered overhead.
During the invasion, the soldiers also broke into and searched homes in the Jenin refugee camp and Wadi Burqin area before detaining former political prisoner Bassam Sa’adi, in addition to Ashraf al-Jada’.
Hundreds of Palestinians marched to the Jenin governmental hospital in Jenin city while chanting against the illegal Israeli occupation and its escalating violations.
Dirar’s funeral procession was attended by thousands of Palestinians, on Tuesday night, starting in front of Khalil Suleiman governmental hospital in Jenin and through the various streets of Jenin city until reaching his home in the Jenin refugee camp, before heading to the local mosque and the Shuhada graveyard.
